The location was beautiful and the room we were in had an AMAZING view! The owner/manager was so attentive and kind. Our room was SO charming and I love that we had a balcony to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and the Mountain View. The shower and bathroom were perfect—warm water and good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was wonderful and it was just the most charming and positive experience!

Our room price included a five-course dinner in the hotel restaurant. The quality of the kitchen exceeded our expectations. Excellent dinner, friendly staff who noted the birthday of my wife, good value for money. Our room was recently renovated. Nice experience!

What can I say? It's the most beautiful location imaginable, the room was spacious, the food was great and the staff were the best. We woke in the morning with a spectacular view of the Alps from our balcony. The hotel is situated on a lake, and there are plentiful hiking trails. We will be back for sure.

The food was very good and the property itself is beautiful. Great amenities. Unfortunately, the poor service and scary situation that no one was able to help with, overshadowed anything else positive that I have to say.

At the foot of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the country’s top ski resorts. The Bavarian style of its Alpine chalets includes beautiful flowers lining every balcony, and colourful frescoes adorning the outsides of houses.
The varied skiing and snowboarding in the surrounding Alps is based mainly on blue and red runs. To ski on the Zugspitze glacier you take a train up to the mountain then a cable car down to the slopes. The summit itself offers magnificent views of the valleys below, provided you’re lucky enough to get a break in the clouds.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a former host of the Winter Olympics and the World Alpine Ski Championships. It also has a ski jump that forms part of the world cup of that sport. In summer hiking is the most popular activity and a lengthy route leads up to King’s House on Schachen, a supposed castle that looks more like a house.
It was built for Ludwig II, the eccentric king behind the region’s most impressive castle – Neuschwanstein to the north-west of Garmisch. The road between them passes by Oberammergau, famous for its 10-yearly Passion Plays.

The town was very pleasant, clean, and had many local shops with handmade products. The whole town shut down at 9pm except a bar so do not expect to find any late night brauhaus or restaurants. I would recommend visiting the town during the winter season for outdoor scenery and activites.

We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season.
We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season. The weather was warm, but skiing opportunities were just perfect at the Zugspitze which is over 2500m high. From GAP, the train takes you to Munich in an hour, so you can enjoy a big city atmosphere and related activities once you get bored from skiing. By car, you need an hour to reach the most visited tourist attraction in Germany - Neuschwanstein castle. Overall GAP is a cool location for both summer and winter time.

What a lovely area, I want to move here. Such beautiful scenery, mountains for great hikes and lovely people.
It’s also an ok place for skiing, the slopes aren’t super long or the resorts not very fancy but it could be a great place to learn the sport.

Very good location, 2 minutes walk to Garmitch-partenkirchen train station and bus station. Zugspitze train station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel so very convenient to go to Zugspitze early morning (Strongly recommmended so we can stop by Eibsee lake on the way to Zugspitze and enjoy taking very nice photos at the lake in the morning when there are less people).
Staff were very helpful, friendly. The breakfast was very good.
I will choose this hotel again for my next trip Garmitch-partenkirchen again ^^
To our surprise and delight our standard hotel double room was upgraded upon arrival by the attentive and welcoming receptionist (after enquiring the next day we were told that it was the boss..) Our deluxe double Bio Panorama room was fantastic - with an amazing view of the mountains and the Zugspitze - a very spacious balcony, comfortable bed and even a wonderful free standing bath tub. Thanks again for this experience!
Breakfast next day left no wishes open, would definitely return!
Everything from the staff, the warm welcome, the atmosphere and historic charm, the bar, the breakfast. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and exceeded my expectations! We only were able to stay for 1 night because of time constraints but will absolutely be back for another longer visit!
Super location, very quiet, and great top floor apartment with wonderful mountain views.
This was perfect for myself and two friends, with plenty of space (two bedrooms, and the sofa-bed).
It was an excellent base for hiking in the stunning mountains around Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Comfortable, well equipped single room with a sofa. Very friendly and helpful owners - and, possibly, the best breakfast I've ever had in any hotel! Garmisch is pretty spread out and hotel was in a very quiet street but still only a 10 minute walk to the Zugspitze railway station.
- breakfast selection and quality
- spa and fitness area
- hotel bar (not too expensive)
- staff was always friendly and helpful
- location (right next to Garmisch Partenkirchen main station and close proximity to ski lifts)
- many disinfection dispensers throughout the hotel
Lovely family run hotel since the 1936 Winter Olympics! Fab room with mountain views -didn't use pool or spa, but looked great. Free parking around hotel and one of the best breakfasts I have had in Germany, and I have lived and traveled here for over 3 years...excellent choice!
Beautiful, modern, spacious apartment in Garmisch-Partenkirchen right beside the main train station. Easy access to Zugspitze train line. Beautiful café and bakery downstairs for breakfast and lunch. Central to shops, restaurants, and old parts of the town.
The hotel is beautiful. All the facilities were nice and clean. The staff was very kind and lively. The hotel is near to the center, the train central station and the Zugspitze train station. I very well choice undoubtedly.
One of the best hotels I’ve been to! Excellent breakfast, comfortable room, spacious bathroom and home-like atmosphere!! I would 100% recommend and definitely, if I ever come back to garmisch, would stay here again!!
everything is new and well taken care off, hotel staff super helpful with all the information provided, breakfast is good, near to Lidl and walkable to zugspitze bahn or base of garmisch for skiing
I loved the location, the balcony, and the layout of this room. However, the entire hotel wreaked of cigarette smoke and I must have an allergy. I woke up every morning with red eyes.
Rooms were huge. The restaurant was great. Access points all over the hotel led to the garage, which made for quick entrance and exits as needed. Spa was wonderful.
The location is easily accessible and lot of
Restaurants nearby. The breakfast spread was very nice. The Main attractions are within 5km range from the hotel.
