My view was spectacular as the pool was right in my good view. The cleaners were always onsite cleaning and making sure the surrounding is serene. The pool was cleaned multiple times a day to ensure it's pristine for everyone's use.

Really wonderful place. Kibayo offers a little zen just about a comfortable distance away from all the hustle and bustle from the town. Offers a community-type of vibe with a small pool, common kitchen and a lagoon right next to it. Hosts are lovely and welcoming here Really great experience.
Activities that can be enjoyed in the surroundings, include cycling, horse riding and fishing. The property offers free parking.

Steps from the beach and several restaurants, but far from the rest of town. It wasn't a problem for us, but it might be for some although there are plenty of guaguas that go by. As the name implies, lots of kite surfers from different countries.

Cabarete has a laid-back feel that is perfect for an easygoing vacation. The waves are fun the play in and the water/wind sports are fun and colorful to watch. Getting around is easy by walking. High tide will make some of the beach walking a challenge if you are too far down the beach, but still doable.

Cabarete has a very different atmosphere than other parts of Dominican Republic. It is a surfer town with a very relaxed energy. You find good restaurant options (fresh fresh cafe, gorditos fresh mex, la casita de papi, mojito bar, belgium bakery, vagamundo coffee, friend’s, ojo club), some shops, fun relaxed night life and there is a nice enough beach with bars, restaurants and kite and windsurf rentals/schools. It is quite a small town so staying here for a longer time could become boring if you don’t do day trips to other areas near by. I travel a lot to the DR and always enjoy staying 3-5 days in the area because of the nice restaurant and relaxed surfer vibes and the change to another part of the country to continue my vacation.

Lots of shops with a variety of goods along main street (busy so careful crossing). Bars & restaurents were excellent! Good entertainment, lots of expats in town and along the beach. Dominicans are friendly and helpful.
As elsewhere, stay with the crowds if out at night. Stay on the beaten track. I walked all over during the day, A small nieghbourhood bar was a great stop on a hot afternoon.

Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff.
Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff. Extra cudos to Senior Santos, Jennifer, the security team and maintenance crew that made me feel very welcome. It suited me for a quiet space to decompress and enjoy some reflection time. I would highly recommend this property for couples and solo travelers. The local residents were also kind and pleasant to mingle with.
Thank you all again, I plan to return next year.
Cheers, Chris from Canada.

Great for foreigners, it has a budget for everyone in terms of restaurants, accommodation, and things to do. It is about a 4-hour drive from Santo Domingo. The beaches are nice and the water is warm. I would highly recommend staying here.

Some problem in the begin because they cant find my reservation, no matter show the reservation in my phone, also in my email and they still discussing, but after they fixed, everything going very well. Was very grateful because when they did the mistake, they give to us a spectacular suite i front the beach and the swiming pool. Was super
Location is very good if you want to surf in Encuentro beach. Also, being on the main street makes it very easy to catch public transportation (Guaguas, motochonchos, carritos publicos, they all pass in front of the structure door every 5 minutes): in this way, you can get to Sosua, Puerto Plata, Cabarete, Rio San Juan in a very straightforward way.
Staff is always nice, smiley and available at all time.
The room has the basic comfort (+ a very useful mosquito net, I was not bothered by mosquitos at all!)
A.The hotel was nice. The staff was excellent. The food was not the best. The hotel wasn't the best for the price that I paid. My wife and I wanted a king or a queen bed but were given two full bed. The bed wasn't very comfortable. There wasn't a refrigerator or a coffee maker in the room. At night I like cold water and in the morning I enjoy hot cup of coffee without leaving the room. I love the location because the beach was near the hotel and it was very clean.
All together the Hotel Villa Taina is a one of the best locations for stay short- or longtime in Cabarete. The perfect access to the beach side with their own beach chairs is worth the money. If you get a room at beach side, would be lucky. But all the other rooms are okay too. The restaurant within the hotel is very good kitchen, the breakfast is huge and delicous. The a-la-carte menue is very good, only the size of the food getting smaller about the years.
All the staff was great, but the manager in particular was fantastic. I forgot his name, but he is Haitian Dominican. He was very attentive, gave great suggestions about what to do and how to get around, and helped me to get a last minute room at the hotel when they had a cancelation. I don't know how one guy is able to manage the whole hotel, but he did. And he did a great job. He is interested in computer science. Best of luck to you as you study!
Very special place in Cabarete! In the heart of everything but at the same day away from all the loudness and tourists. The garden is just beautiful and with a nice pool to cool down on a hot day.
The loft has everything you need and a nice kitchen if you‘re tired of eating out in various awesome bars/restaurants
People give reviews about this hotel haven't stayed anywhere else in Cabarete or Sosua. It is an all inclusive next to beach organized hotel with an extremely good ratio of value for money. Yes it's a bit old but in perfect position fully operational and staff doing their best to give a real holiday experience.
This place is amazing. If you are kiting in Cabarete, stay here. Excellent value. Maid service every day. Very, very close to the kite spot. On site security to guard your stuff while you are hanging at the beach. Limited number of rooms, so the place is pretty quiet. I could not have been happier with my stay.
This hotel is just impeccable! Every detail is specialy conceived with great taste. Personnel is highly professional and the ambience is very cool. Rooms are quite spacious and breakfast and meals are delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much that we definetly recommend everyone to book here.
Althought I was there in the middle of a hurricane (lol) and everything was closed, I could see the potential in this place.
Really close to the beach, perfect for those who want to do water sports.
A backpacking hostel like you can’t find in the Dominican Republic.
The quality of the breakfast for being free was really nice. The location was spectacular. Nothing like hanging out at the pool with the ocean crashing 10 feet away. The ability to just walk for hours on the beach without having to travel anywhere was beautiful.
staff of the Hotel ,they are so kind, the person call Mr Remy he was so kind and nice , great hospitality . it was really good time with them hope to come again , when ever i travel to cabarete this hotel is the best place for me .
the hotel met all expectations. the location is super good, you can walk to playa cabarete and all the restaurants. the room was clean and big. also the hotel is a few steps from the beach. i would totally recommend this place.
This place has a real carribbean vibe, the children loved the pool! We loved the garden! Its close to Cabarete beach and kite beach, but it’s outside of Cabarete in a calm and quiet area! Here you can hear the nature!
The location was the best on Cabarete Beach. Would stay here again! It was an intimate and peaceful property with easy access to shopping, groceries etc and a beautiful ocean front view. The service was 10/10.
The location; right on the beach. Lovely staff, extremely cooperative and friendly. We stayed at the three bedrooms apartment which has its own plunge pool. The apartment is very spacious and family friendly.
