Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, hotel was kept clean and it was a great location very centralized. One of the issues of the location is the noise coming from the main street in front of the hotel.

The most important thing was the peace and privacy that I felt during my whole stay. The property (and each bungalow in particular) was well equipped with everything I needed on a beach trip. Also, the pool and breakfast were amazing!

The staff and location was just perfect. The resort is secluded so if you need peace and quiet, no loud parties and drunk adults, this is a great place. I was very disappointed with the rooms and facilities being really old. The quality really does not match the price. If the resort was with half board maybe. I would probably come again though because the resort is located on the beach very close to playa Bonita where you can just walk in few minutes. The staff was so much nicer than anywhere we stayed in Dominican Republic. Also, there’s no people on the beach trying to sell you stuff. That was really appreciated. No loud music at night. Food was ok but pricey. I would give 3,5* out of 5 only for location, staff and the fact there is a tennis court and table tennis which was really appreciated!
Located in the city center, along the beaches of Las Terrenas, this colorful hotel features a lush tropical garden, an outdoor salted-water pool and a bar offering drinks, cocktails and snacks.

The property is very charming. It is a short walk to the beach, located in a quiet area. Upon arrival Jennifer checked us in and gave us cherry limade (delicious), she showed us to our beautiful room with an outside sitting area that has curtains so it is private. The room is two floors (bed on each floor upstairs bed looked bigger). Everything is painted concrete (which is very cool) (counters/shower). The bed was very comfortable and the shower water was hot. In the morning breakfast is served from 8-10 (coffee/tea/orange juice) pancakes/bread (butter and jam)/ eggs/ omelettes/ fresh fruit- it was perfect! They have a yoga area. The pool was clean and we witnessed the property being maintained- leaves were being picked up/pool skimmed. I am very picky and I have nothing negative to say about this property. I will definitely stay again

Very lovely area and safe. We got there by bus from Santo Domingo in 2 hours and the price was like $10. There are a lots of amazing restaurants by the beach with different type of food: pizza, ceviche, salads, pasta, etc. Lots of places to dance and have a drink.

If you’re looking to book in Las Terrenas do yourself a favor and just go straight to Mosquito Beach Hotel, it’s a 10/10 every time and I go there a lot! Great for families, couples, solo working adults, older travelers, and pet owners as well. Friendly staff, cool vibe, very complete breakfast included and excellent food on the restaurant menu.

The Saone Peninsula is the most pleasant part of DR.
The Saone Peninsula is the most pleasant part of DR. A large number of different beaches, so that everyone can find something suitable for themselves. Traffic in the city is chaotic, but perfectly manageable once you get used to it, both by car and motorbike. Pleasant sitting and sipping cocktails at the Colibri beach bar. You have a lot possibilities to eat, different restaurants, bars, or you grab smth on the street.

Ballenas beach was amazing for swimming, and great restaurants nearby . We stayed at a smaller condo/hotel close to the beach and were very happy. Feed the poor homeless dogs. The town itself is chaotic and noisy but Ballenas beach area was wonderful

My family and I often go to Las Terrenas where we enjoy the clean water and beach, the lush vegetation and the overall low key ambiance. We do long walks on the beach, surfing and we enjoy the excellent restaurants - Italian and French - in town. Terrenas is for the indépendant traveler who wants to discover other culture. There are also beautiful excursions avsilable: Los Haitises with their unique eco system, the hike to El limon waterfall and catamaran rides to other beaches! Waiting to go back!

Las Terrenas is a busy, small town filled with motorcycles,...
Las Terrenas is a busy, small town filled with motorcycles, ATV's and cars crowding the streets. Once you learn the direction (one way streets) quite manageable. Parking can be a problem in some places but the better restaurants have attendants to help you find a spot. The two large grocery stores have ample parking. A very good choice of nice, highly rated beachside restaurants. More casual dining experiences along the main downtown streets. Lots of French and especially Italian influence. KiiKii beach bar/restaurant sells POUTINE, as good as any in Quebec! Cheese locally made. Even found an outlet selling Beavertails!
Beaches are beautiful and you can park on most of them. Loud "Boom Box" music coming out of the cruising or parked cars and ATV's will make you smile! La joie de vivre is everywhere! Il Lemon waterfall is beautiful and worth the trip if you are able. Clave Verde Eco lodge up the mountain for a change of scenery and wonderful lunch.
Support the locals and buy something!!
Everything about this place is perfect, amazing stay. About 2 mins walk to the beach, beautiful, peaceful and comfortable place. Is even better than described and pictures. Hosts are wonderful, they have beautiful pets that I loved playing with, a perfect guide with all the information you need to enjoy your time in Las Terrenas a its surroundings and on the property itself. I truly wished I could've stay longer. If you have the opportunity don't hesitate and book this place.
Thank you so much K and A!
perfect location! less than 5 minutes waking to the beach, close to everything you need and very safe. the apartment is new, large and nicely decorated, the bed is very comfortable, there is a bidet and warm water and a very good Italian restaurant. but the best thing about this place is the kindness and availability of the owner, which I am truly grateful for all the help. absolutely recommend to everyone! (also incredible deal for quality/prices in las Terrenas)
Love everything about El Balata Eco Hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe room on the last floor of the property, and it was simple, design and perfect for us! Special mention for the pool 😍, breakfast, staff and family which is super sweet. The location is great: less than 5min by drive to the beach Punta Poppy and so much other! This place deserves a stop if you’re in Las Terrenas.
Beautiful location in Playa Coson - one of our favorite beaches.
The restaurant of the hotel was very good - one of the best we've eaten at during our vacation in Las Terranas.
The bar was also very cool - especially the bartender who was very friendly.
Our room (the villa) was nice and big. Overall, the view from the hotel on the beach is very nice.
The hotel was right on the beach and had its own restaurant that provided wonderful meals, that were priced reasonably, either in the comfort of your room or right on the beach. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was included and was buffet style. Bed was comfortable and amenities were great. I was pleasantly surprised.
the pool area and especially the beach front was pure paradise
good amount of activities - not too much not too view and guests are never forced to participate
very delicous and fresh pizza
for actvities and transportation around Samana go to the activity office (travel agency) in the hotel - she was very competent
It’s a beautiful place and the service was very good. What should be offered or advertised is a shuttle into Las Terraneas. The hotels in the area should have an affiliation with restaurants and retail stores. The area should have more child friendly activities. We would come back again a beautiful area.
Very spacious rooms, extremely comfortable and big beds. Coffemachine in the rooms. Very welcoming owners and the breakfast is impressive!
Best place I‘ve ever stayed in the whole of the caribbean. We even decided to stay longer in Las Terrenas just because we liked it so much at Punta Popy :)
We like everything! The host was really nice, he answered all our messages really fast. The location of the property is wonderfull, several restaurants just to few steps. It is 15 minutes walking to town center. The beach wonderful. Definitly, we'll return to Las Terrenas and to this property.
Very friendly and helpful staff and owner. This hotel is wonderful and includes very nice breakfast with fresh juice and pancakes. It is not cheap but definitely money well spent for 2 nights. Las Terrenas and its surroundings is absolutely worth visiting. Thanks again
Everything was nice and luxurious but the pool and the beach and the lovely beds with ocean view... Wow. It was our favourite stay in Dominican Republic and trust me - we have been everywhere. Playa Bonita is close and I loved to go there every day. We loved the stay
Great hotel, lovingly furnished and maintained. ☀️ The Owner is communicative and helps with questions. We have had other experiences in Las Terrenas, but will come back to the House Jardin del Caribe at any time 👍🏻 5 stars for this stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Marco y Monika
Beautiful huts with all the creature comforts. Wonderful location in n the beach and beach walk. Excellent restaurants just meters away...watch out Florida...las terrenas is way nicer and tropical...the way Florida USED to be.
We loved everything here! This is one of the best hotels i’v been. Staff was super friendly and helpful, hotel was beautiful, bed was so comfy, food was so good. If we ever come back to Las Terrenas we will come here.
Really nice hotel with great access to the beach and great amenities. The rooms are individual pads that feel like apartments. You have a lot of privacy and the garden is beautiful. A great authentic experience
I enjoy the area and the good restaurants very close and safety, and the Beaches one of the Best in las terrenas,
Poppy Beach Beautiful and the Waves magnificent. Love it. I will rent it again.
