it isn't the first time I visit but it is the first time i have used uber and it is a game changer..i mean in a hot humid chaotic city, even a person who loves walking like myself has to give it up...the only places you can easily walk around in , are shopping malls (the best is Agora mall) and the ciudad colonial. i have been told it is not safe at night but tbh i havent had any problem but cant guarantee it could be safe for everyone..
everyone is at Malecon , sea promenade, after 6pm, jogging, relaxing and eating..mind you, the water is extremely contaminated and smelly..nevertheless this city has got something special which makes u like it...and most people are friendly.. i dined at Layali arabic restaurant it was amazing with beautiful decor..and tasty food..$$..also dined on the top floor of agora mall..plenty of food stalls..i had chicken teryaki with rice $..if you avoid all tourist traps and buy your presents in the not so known shops and eat in the not so touristy spots, you will save a lot..pls some street vendors are extremely poor and even if you dont wana buy anything, a small change will make them happy..i always keep 100 pesos notes in my purse..around a dollar. dont forget to visit boca chica, a natural swimming pool where the water is crystal clear..weekdays best..weekend too crowded..only approx 20 min by bus

Great place to visit if you want to dance salsa or bachata. You can attend a good dance lessons there. The city center (Colonial Zone) is pretty small and mildly interesting, you can see the most interesting places in few hours. Use uber/bolt to travel through the city.

El Conde is a nice street to walk on in the day or early evening, just stay as far to the East side as possible. The beaches in Santo Domingo are filled with water garbage, go to Boca Chica if you'd like to actually get wet, but you better pack a lunch because everyone will try to rip you off for literally everything. China Town is nice, try to go during lunch hours on the weekend where they have amazing street food.
Great location at the center of Zona Colonial. The receptionists are always friendly and responsive (in English too), and they were able to store my luggage before check-in (I arrived early). The hotel is very clean.
The room is spacious and comfortable. The shower is great (hot water always available, water pressure is perfect), the bed is comfortable and the WiFi worked great and fast in my room.
No elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs.
The price is really affordable so overall it’s a great value for money.
The location was magnificent supermarket, fast food restaurants easy access, the banks was easy access shopping mall. Miss Cristina Pimentel your service was fantastic anything I needed you was there to assist from booking to airport pickup and airport shuttle the hotel was clean, comfortable and was a well spent vacation. Not the mentioned the swimming pool omg on the roof top with that beautiful view across santo domingo.looking forward for another stay there in the future
Great place to stay in Santo Domingo. The location is just superb, you are in heart of the colonial zone, yet the street is quiet and hassle free. The place has a great atmosphere, I really felt like 16th century merchant! Breakfasts are delicious (don't worry about some of the comments here, you get plenty of eggs and fruits). The staff is very helpful, the rooms are clean and there are very nice spots to chill outside the rooms.
This is a modern, very well maintained property located directly on the Malecon, It is within walking distance of the colonial city. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at in the Dominican Republic. Staff is friendly and efficient. Great pool area and outdoor bar/restaurant. Nice restaurants within walking distance.
It is a nice place not too far from the Zona Colonial and right next to the Caribe Tours terminal of Santo Domingo. There is a beautiful rooftop where you have a continental breakfast in the morning and where the jacuzzi is. The staff was very kind and helpful, the equipments are modern and cosy. I enjoyed my night there!
I enjoyed the buffet breakfast and hotel meals. The staff was extremely helpful about the facility and tour. They connected me to a tour company. The location was central to the historical Zona Colonial. I could operate the ceiling fan at a temperature that was satisfactory. I enjoyed swimming in the pool daily.
The location is good, it is close to everything, there is the Colonial Zone, Parque Independencia, taxis on the street below the hotel, it has a great pool, it is very clean, close to all the nice things that there are in Santo Domingo, and the people who work there are super excellent. .
Stylish, bohemian chic hotel well-located in the historic center of the Santo Domingo. The staff and owners were friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of the best breakfasts that I have ever had. Comfortable bed and beautiful interior garden. We really enjoyed our stay!
La Aldea was the perfect place to stay in Santo Domingo. The location is amazing - extremely central. The hotel staff was great, especially Sebastien who was always available to discuss and give us great tips on what to see/what to do/where to go. Highly recommend!
The staff was really nice. The room service was excellent and the food was tasty. The breakfast was really good. The rooms were nice and clean and modern. I have been to the Dominican Republic more than 25 times and this was by far the nicest hotel I have been in.
The place is amazing I been there before , hot water is really good , everything is really clean 10/10 and the employees have the best customer service in Santo Domingo , the room is really comfortable you can even compare with 5 stars hotels around the world
Everything was great , nice place, you must stay to see how wonderful hotel, and don't forget to go to 11 floor to enjoy the pool. Next visit to santo domingo I will go to park Suites tower no question.
Price was good for Dominican Republic. Most of the time we had more expensive hotels but quality was not much better. Hotel had warm water but water pressure was rather weak.
Nice and quiet hotel near Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo. Breakfast was simple but fine. It's possible to find anything you need not so far of this location.
