Albachiara Hotel - Las Terrenas, hotel in Las Terrenas

In Las Terrenas, this hotel features an outdoor pool and luxurious suites and apartments with kitchen facilities. El Catey de Samana International Airport is a 40-minute drive away.

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, hotel was kept clean and it was a great location very centralized. One of the issues of the location is the noise coming from the main street in front of the hotel.

Leeloo Boutique Hotel, hotel in Las Terrenas

Offering an outdoor pool and furnished sun terrace, Leeloo Boutique Hotel is located in Las Terrenas. WiFi access throughout is available.

My husband and I spent nine nights at the Leeloo hotel and based on our experience we highly recommend it! The Leeloo hotel offers a peaceful escape from the active town, while remaining a short walk to beaches and restaurants. The hotel's strategic location ensures a nice balance between tranquility and convenience. The staff's exceptional service, from the owner, to Gabi, to the entire staff, is genuinely kind and caring. Our experience at the hotel became a memorable part of our vacation. Gabi, an absolute gem, answered every question and gave an abundance of great recommendations based on her local knowledge! The kind staff and attention to cleanliness underscores a commitment to guest comfort. There are five huts/casitas, a kitchen, and a pool. The huts/casitas are a testament to thoughtful design, providing a unique and intimate lodging experience that doesn't compromise on modern necessities. The hut had everything we needed and we loved the sounds of nature at night while lying in bed! The property layout and accommodations provide both privacy and opportunities to meet new people. Each morning, we looked forward to fresh coffee, juice, and breakfast. Both breakfast and the pool area acted as a hub of communal interaction and fostered a sense of belonging among guests, further enhancing Leeloo's charm. It allowed us to meet and make new connections with travelers from other countries. Going to dinner in the evenings, we felt safe walking to and from Leeloo. The property is gated, and we felt safe during our entire stay. We had a rental car and there was room for us to park on the property. We walked all over town and along the beach, and I don’t think there is a better location to stay than Leeloo. The property itself is a little piece of relaxation! With its caring staff, inviting kitchen, and the relaxing pool area where you can chill after breakfast or unwind at the end of the day, our stay at Leeloo truly made our vacation.

Sublime Samana, hotel in Las Terrenas

Located at Playa Coson and only a few steps from the beach-front, Sublime Samana features 2 outdoor pools, a fitness center, a tennis court and a spa and health club.

The staff and location was just perfect. The resort is secluded so if you need peace and quiet, no loud parties and drunk adults, this is a great place. I was very disappointed with the rooms and facilities being really old. The quality really does not match the price. If the resort was with half board maybe. I would probably come again though because the resort is located on the beach very close to playa Bonita where you can just walk in few minutes. The staff was so much nicer than anywhere we stayed in Dominican Republic. Also, there’s no people on the beach trying to sell you stuff. That was really appreciated. No loud music at night. Food was ok but pricey. I would give 3,5* out of 5 only for location, staff and the fact there is a tennis court and table tennis which was really appreciated!

Hotel La Tortuga, hotel in Las Terrenas

Located in the city center, along the beaches of Las Terrenas, this colorful hotel features a lush tropical garden, an outdoor salted-water pool and a bar offering drinks, cocktails and snacks.

The property is very charming. It is a short walk to the beach, located in a quiet area. Upon arrival Jennifer checked us in and gave us cherry limade (delicious), she showed us to our beautiful room with an outside sitting area that has curtains so it is private. The room is two floors (bed on each floor upstairs bed looked bigger). Everything is painted concrete (which is very cool) (counters/shower). The bed was very comfortable and the shower water was hot. In the morning breakfast is served from 8-10 (coffee/tea/orange juice) pancakes/bread (butter and jam)/ eggs/ omelettes/ fresh fruit- it was perfect! They have a yoga area. The pool was clean and we witnessed the property being maintained- leaves were being picked up/pool skimmed. I am very picky and I have nothing negative to say about this property. I will definitely stay again

If you’re looking to book in Las Terrenas do yourself a favor and just go straight to Mosquito Beach Hotel, it’s a 10/10 every time and I go there a lot! Great for families, couples, solo working adults, older travelers, and pet owners as well. Friendly staff, cool vibe, very complete breakfast included and excellent food on the restaurant menu.

The Saone Peninsula is the most pleasant part of DR.

The Saone Peninsula is the most pleasant part of DR. A large number of different beaches, so that everyone can find something suitable for themselves. Traffic in the city is chaotic, but perfectly manageable once you get used to it, both by car and motorbike. Pleasant sitting and sipping cocktails at the Colibri beach bar. You have a lot possibilities to eat, different restaurants, bars, or you grab smth on the street.

My family and I often go to Las Terrenas where we enjoy the clean water and beach, the lush vegetation and the overall low key ambiance. We do long walks on the beach, surfing and we enjoy the excellent restaurants - Italian and French - in town. Terrenas is for the indépendant traveler who wants to discover other culture. There are also beautiful excursions avsilable: Los Haitises with their unique eco system, the hike to El limon waterfall and catamaran rides to other beaches! Waiting to go back!

Las Terrenas is a busy, small town filled with motorcycles, ATV's and cars crowding the streets. Once you learn the direction (one way streets) quite manageable. Parking can be a problem in some places but the better restaurants have attendants to help you find a spot. The two large grocery stores have ample parking. A very good choice of nice, highly rated beachside restaurants. More casual dining experiences along the main downtown streets. Lots of French and especially Italian influence. KiiKii beach bar/restaurant sells POUTINE, as good as any in Quebec! Cheese locally made. Even found an outlet selling Beavertails! Beaches are beautiful and you can park on most of them. Loud "Boom Box" music coming out of the cruising or parked cars and ATV's will make you smile! La joie de vivre is everywhere! Il Lemon waterfall is beautiful and worth the trip if you are able. Clave Verde Eco lodge up the mountain for a change of scenery and wonderful lunch. Support the locals and buy something!!

The city of Las Terrenas isn't something special.

The city of Las Terrenas isn't something special. A touristic place crouded of cars and motorcycles. If you are coming from Europe the level is low. However there are some good spots (restaurants, bars, gift shops) that the service is good and upgrated. It has to be mentioned that those places owned by europeans.Mostly French. The beaches around Las Terrenas are amazing. Like you see them at photos. White sand, waves and palm trees. Zero points to El Limon. The place is amazing but the people close to it is a mess. So negative for the turism of the area. The government has to do something. It's so unsafe and they ask so much money to guide you there, even the official turist agents. If you have time to the country there are other places you can visit

This has to be the best place in Las Terrenas. Mathias makes you feel so welcomed and his boutique hotel is simply amazing. The breakfasts that Mathias makes every morning is better than most 5 star hotels and it’s a big part of the experience when staying here. The design of the rooms, building and the pool was all done by Mathias and it’s stunning. We will definitely be back ! Thank you Mathias and Carmen.

We loved everyday different breakfast with coffee and juice. The owner is italian guy and all service was excellent: the owner and his wife provided everything we need, rooms were cleaned daily and had hot water (which is rare find). The hotel is in the quite area and you appreciate it when comparing to such a noisiness in the main streets. We really appreciated the price even on high season.

I will not come here again.... Unfortunately bad experience at this hotel ..... Very expensive to what they have to offer The hot tub at the balcony is not a jacuzzi, it is only a hot tub, and we were never able to use it, since the warm water was not enough to fill it up. For the price and the fact they advertice it as 5 star, I would recommend you to find another place to stay.
