Very quiet for may And prices have doubled if not tripled, over the last 8 months. No longer, justified, As A Cheap Holiday. Also, Still too many Gift shops, crazy Prices for a keyring, magnet. I had to leave the Shop, without purchasing. A pair of trousers, i , had, purchased had a rip in them.... Was to be charged 550le, for 15 pieces of cloths. 6 being under-garments. The people on the streets are intrusive, confrontational, and just won't leave you alone. Considering that (according to Wikipedia) there are more tourists than residents in Hurghada, it is extremely surprising how unfriendly the locals are outside the hotel complexes and the marina. Hurghada is a terrible place, and everyone is just focused on taking your money and scamming you. Even the nice pharmacist charges different prices. Never again. Or if I want to scuba dive again in the Red Sea (which really is beautiful), then I go straight from the airport to the diving ship and after the cruise is over straight back to the airport. There is absolutely no reason to see Hurghada or to spend money there.B. - 8.0Scored 8.0

Nice place, felt a bit like a city-sized resort. Good prices, but be ready to haggle a lot (prices for foreigners start at the 10 times or more the "local" price). People are friendly (sometimes too much) and are trying to get tips and scam you with the prices at every step - so, buyer be ware, and haggle always. Incredible sea, with the most amazing blue colors! Great food - really recommend eating at Gad restaurant and visiting the Marina.

We loved Hurghada, the people, food and environment were wonderful. It’s very family oriented, We wish we had more time to attend more activities, we packed as much as we could😁 All the taxi drivers were supportive and welcoming as well as their wider community. The difference between Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada is more daytime activities and wind down in the evenings, Sharm El Sheikh it’s more night life. I seem to be more tired than their children at 2am they are still playing and full of energy 😁

It is worth to try the local "Uber", which is called inDrive...
It is worth to try the local "Uber", which is called inDrive app. Using this app wan can move much more freely within the city. ONe can set the target (like the must see places, and the app will show the suggested fare, distane, and drivers start to offer their ride. You can accept any of them. Cheapest may not be the best selection, because in Egypt most if the inDrive cars are not in their best shape.

Plenty of comfortable sun beds by the pool and on the beach. The location in Ras Soma ( Soma Bay) is about 50 km south of Hurghada city in a very quiet, peaceful area. If you want a luxury resort in a quiet place you need look no further. I would say it is the best resort hotel we have ever been to and we’ve been to quite a lot over the years!

The food is great and there is lots of variety with several different restaurants and cuisines to chose from (even for vegetarians like myself). The staff go above and beyond.
