Amazing place, but there was way too much road construction...
Amazing place, but there was way too much road construction blocking pedestrian footpaths. There were roadworks all over the city at the same time. A real shame non of the spectacular water falls were turned on due to the drought over the last two years.

I love Barcelona, one of my favourite cities in Europe.
I love Barcelona, one of my favourite cities in Europe. The vibe in the city is great, something is happening around the city all of the time and I love how the city is almost alive. My favourite places there are the Barceloneta beach and the hill Montjuic, but I love all of it. Traversing the city is also very easy, you can use the Metro (my favorite mode of transport), the bus, the tram and other things. Also I am not a native Spanish speaker and I liked how I had no problem of communicating, almost everyone could speak at least some English.

This was our 4th trip to the city (we last visited in 2008.)
This was our 4th trip to the city (we last visited in 2008.) It is still a great place to shop, eat and drink plus so many interesting places to visit- namely Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Parc Guell. Sagrada Famillia, Montjuic, various galleries and museums and of course the beaches.
We ate out every day somewhere different and didn't have a bad meal - one of our party is vegetarian and we found lots of places with interesting food. Would recommend The Egg Lab, Hummus Hummus,El Nacional, 2254 Tapas Barcelona and LaGalera and The Alcoba Azul - to name but a few!

Barcelona is amazing!
Barcelona is amazing! The public transport is excellent and the city is walkable and safe. To avoid large crowds, book your tickets in advance and for the morning sessions.
For tapas, we really loved the following:
Bar Eixample
Vinitus
El Mercat
The hotel is located in a fairly good spot for Barcelona, only 13 minutes of walking from Sagrada Familia and within 2 minutes of walking from 2 metro stations(Monumentum & Glories), allowing you to comfortably travel through the city and taking various metro lines.
THE STAFF: EXCELLENT, ESPECIALLY VERONICA,WHO MADE OUR STAY MORE PLEASENT AND WAS ALWAYS HELPFUL AND SMILING,THE BEST.
All of the staff was generallh helpful and gave us decent recommandations for both transportation and facilities to make our Barcelona trip more valuable.
Modern clean hotel in very convenient location if using Barcelona Sants train station. Nearby metro only a few stops into the city centre and also to Sagrada Familia. Reception very friendly, with a welcome drink on arrival. Breakfast was excellent (cheaper on check in than if booked in advance) - large buffet with hot and cold food, juice, fruit, coffee, omelettes made to order. Room was spacious with large comfy bed, complimentary bottles of water.
First of all, I would like to thank the friendly staff for a pleasant vacation. On vacation, the two most important things to me are a clean bathroom and a comfortable bed. This hotel lived up to those expectations. The location of the hotel is ideal, a few minutes' walk from the metro station and the shopping center, a quiet part of Barcelona. The staff was really wonderful, we got a map of Barcelona and all the tips to get around the city.
It was centrally located to walk to many sites such as the sea; restaurants, cathedrals and the markets. The staff were friendly and helpful as we’ve never been in Spain before. Be sure to go to Monserrat early and do a full day trip!! Ben will take you to Gaudi’s Le Sagrada Familia! The most beautiful, awe inspiring place I’ve been!! Check out the Catalan Art Museum and Olympic park as well. Barcelona is a fantastic city!!
It’s close to public transportation for getting to the airport or around Barcelona. It’s also within walking distance to plenty of things in the city center. Bathrooms were pretty clean and they had enough of them for the amount of people in the hostel. Decent common areas (not for socializing, but for sitting / eating). It’s not super cheap but it is less expensive than a lot of other hostels in Barcelona while still being clean
Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel is located in the Gracia barrio, a 5 min walk from the metro station Fontana and a 30 min walk from the city center. It's very peaceful and quiet so ideal for rest after exploring beautiful Barcelona. The staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious room with a beautiful balcony, cleaned every day. Would very much recomend it for your stay in Barcelona
Amazing location, nice view out the window. Front desk was very professional and helpful. Coffee and breakfast were amazing and the best we had between travel to both France and Spain. Hotel rooftop bar was also great...what a view! And there were actually enough available tables to accommodate lots of people. Easy to get to metro stops from here too.
Our first visit to Barcelona- this hotel exceeded our expectations. This well maintained facility and super friendly staff made our visit delightful.
The metro stop is right in front of the hotel. Perfect for getting anywhere in the city.
The hotel is in the center of so many shops and restaurants it’s easy to spend a day without having to go far.
Nice staff, excellent location in the city center - quiet location but in the heart of Barcelona, the price was very affordable
The shower and toilet are very, very spacious, in general the room is large compared to other hotels we have stayed in Europe.
We came with a couple of friends, and they were very, very happy with the choice we made
Excellent location nestled in the heart of Eixample Barcelona. The hotel was able to accommodate us for an early check-in, and our room room was ready as soon as we arrived. We were close to many bus stops which served as our main transportation around the city and to and from the airport. Would highly recommend this hotel!
In the Hotel you have everything..Gym, Pool,..outside the Hotel there’s a lot of Restaurants, one can easily access the Bus and Train going to city center, Beach nearby and one can easily do jogging early in the morning in the Strand of Barcelona Beach, like what we did.
They changed Towels everyday! Prima!
The staff was super nice, especially the male receptionist (Carlos?). The hotel is in a quiet area with many local people. Not too many tourists. It is a great place to stay if this is not your first trip to Barcelona. Easy access to the city center and beach with buses and metro.
Location is excellent! Super close to the Arc de Triomf and a bakery and a great restaurant next door. I have stayed in other hotels in Barcelona and this one really was the best! Saurina was extremely helpful with recommendations around the city and super friendly as well.
If you are visiting Barcelona and need accommodation, look no further. Stylish 9-bedroom boutique hotel in the city center that has a very home atmosphere and the facilities are superb.
Staff were great, thank you Narcis and the girls for a wonderful stay!
Location is the best thing about the hotel! It’s nice to be able to stay somewhere for a reasonable cost that’s isn’t exactly a 5 star hotel, but who needs more than a bed when you are just there to see Barcelona! It’s was everything it promised.
Very satisfied with the hotel staffing - employees were really polite and helpful. The rooms have been cleaned very well too. Its location within Barcelona central city is also very reasonable - just 20min by bus to the city center.
The staff were very kind and helpful and gave a lot of attention and information I asked for, hotel very clean and breakfast excellent. Rate is good compared to other hotels in Barcelona. Transportation to city center are reachable
Great location in the city center near with Gothiс Quarter. Easy check-in and check-out, friendly staff, good rood terrace with park view. It looks like 4-star hotel. So, it is definitely a nice hotel to stay in Barcelona!
Nice location: close to the city center, close to the airport (direct bus takes 15-20 minutes to get) , close Sants train station. Amazing museum with nice views just around the corner. Nice restaurant in hotel.
I spent a very good time, in Barcelona, and in this hotel. Thank you very much to staff of the hotel, very kind. The location is perfect, in the city center.
