Lovely, clean fresh hotel just minutes from the beach and shopping streets.
Huge comfortable bed with lovely pillows.
Excellent roomy bathroom with powerful shower and nice fluffy towels.
Huge bonus having an iron and hairdryer in the room. Also ironing board on each stairwell for guests use.
Buffet breakfast served on the lovely partly enclosed rooftop was plentiful with cereals, juice, tea, coffee, fresh breads and rolls, meat, cheeses, pates jams etc and the most delicious home made marmalade.
Self check in, we'd never done that before but instructions were easy to follow.

You take Fuengirola as it is, if you want bars with TV's there are plenty, nightlife if you want it. A 7 kilometer seafront to walk along, very good selection of restaurants. Quiet areas away from the town. Taxis, buses and trains all available. Very Spanish still lots of pretty squares. You do not see rubbish laying around especially on surrounding roads.

Promenade is touristy, but a few streets back Fuengirola is a Spanish town with good facilities, excellent quality fruit and veg and fish at half the UK cost. Proper high street with clothes and shoe shops, even Botox clinics if this is your thing ! Huge Carrefour supermarket ( equivalent of Waitrows) and smaller Mercadona (equivalent of Tescos)
Every type of restaurants even Indians, Thai, English fish and chip shop.
Parking is difficult but area around mosque is free, don't try on a Friday or Sunday !

Great town.Has a commuter rails station for a 25 minute trip from Malaga airport (train will be busy). Has lots of amenities, a nice town centre, a great beach and a big indoor shopping centre. Not too touristy apart from the sea front towards the town centre, but not full of fish and chip shops and plenty of actual Spanish people living and working in town. Good for families looking for a nice place to relax.

Fuengirola is simply stunning.
Fuengirola is simply stunning. Not very busy to compare to Marbella which it makes great for family with kids. Definitely you need a car to get around the place as hills are very steep. There are plenty of nice restaurant with great food and decent prices. I would highly recommend La Costa.
The view was amazing to wake up to 5⭐.
The room and bathroom were a good size and cleaned every day.
The food was very good especially the breakfast buffet with so many options.
The hotel itself was beautiful and spotlessly clean maybe could do with a little updating in some areas.
I'm not one for the pool even though it did look nice and well kept with the hotel being beachfront it was perfect for me.
The pool bar food was also very good.
Cleaning ladies were great and very friendly and helpful
The Casa Consistorial is an old style hotel right in the heart for Fuengirola. It is some 10 minutes gentle walk from the Train / bus stations. The pavements can be a bit of an issue with larger cases.
We had a room over looking the square in front of the hotel which was ideal for people watching and also the fiesta which took place.
Staff were lovely and whilst not modern, the facilities were excellent and suited our needs perfectly.
Acid test, would I stay again, YES.
The Staff were excellent and so friendly. Shout out to Giulia/Inma/Isabelle/Sylvia and the dining room team 👏👏 You guys are the best ❤️❤️
Patricia Lounge/cleaning who always spoke to me. 👏The Manager for the excellent training and for taking the time to talk to me 🙏 The property itself is lovely and deserves the 4 star rating. My room was wonderful and well cleaned every day. This is my favourite hotel in Fuengirola and I’ll be back !
Clean, modern and beautiful hotel. Staff were all so friendly and attention to detail was amazing. They made our anniversary really special by decorating the room with rose petals and balloons and left a welcome bottle of cava and strawberries which was so appreciated. Good location up in the hills with beautiful views, shuttle bus down to the beach. Free parking was also a good plus. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Beautiful hotel - worth the 4 stars.
Very clean
Pool area was lovely
Drinks and lunch at beach club pool bar were great
Breakfast was amazing, lots to choose from.
Room and bathroom were spacious and clean.
Lovely view of the sea.
Right at the end of the beach promenade but I enjoyed the 25/30min walk in and only 7 euros to get back.
My first time in fuengirola and I definitely be back.
It met my needs. The staff was engaging. The beach, plenty of Restos and bars with authentic food made this stay pleasant. The hotel was labeled and easily identifiable but the location drops you off about 100 meters from the place as it is on a street that is occupied by the chairs of the restaurant next door. Relaxed vibes in this place.
Comfy beds spacious hotel. Lots of facilities. Friendly staff. Fridge in room and balcony. Few minutes walk from train station so easy access to Fuengirola Centre, Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Malaga. Taxi rank also just outside hotel. Beach, restaurants and bars also close by. Supermarket across the road.
We love to stay at this hotel when we visit Fuengirola. The apartments are clean and modern and have everything we need. The location is great for us too being close to the beach and restaurants and a short walk from the train station. We will continue to book this hotel in the future when we visit.
Everything except the WiFi
Real apartment (not a converted hotel room like some "apartments" in Fuengirola)
Modern fittings and lighting
Supermarket and railway station very near
Cleaning better than most in Fuengirola
Induction cooker, kitchen utensils (colander etc)
-Rooms with an amazing ocean view
-The location near the beach was amazing with a lot of good places to eat nearby
-Staff was very friendly and the lounge bar was Nice
-did not eat at the hotel because there was so many places to eat nearby
The hotels location was superb with views over the harbour and along the coast in both directions. A 5-minute stroll takes you to the train station which connects Fuengirola to Malaga and all the coastal towns and resorts in between.
We liked everything! We were a group of 4 friends, we had a great time! Very good hotel, lovely and friendly staff, amazing and delicious food !Thank you Occidental Fuengirola!
Excellent location, close to central Fuengirola and train station. Even if central location it was a very quite location. The host was very helpful with everything.
