Chateau museum closed Monday and Tuesday. 6.5 euro admission charge, but worth visiting. Lovely 12-14 century church free to visit. Motor boat rides from the harbour approx 14 euros for about 45 mins out and back, but commentary only in French. Moules frites from about 15 euros at many restaurants. An another day would have given us a chance to visit the castle. We arrived in the town in good time to find a cafe for breakfast but found it quite hard to find somewhere to eat. Plenty of things to spend a couple of days on in Dieppe and excellent transport links to Rouen, Paris etc Lots of good value restaurants, supermarkets and excellent Saturday market. Dieppe is outstanding.
Dieppe is outstanding. Right size to comfortably move round and so much to see. All Churches are beautiful and Notre-Dame de Bonsecours is unique and worth the small effort to get over and up to it. The temporary bridge was open when we went over and closed because of strong winds when we wanted to return. Made that difficult. A warning: Taxis in Dieppe are hard to get! Then St Jacque’s is very old, different and beautiful. Markets in front Saturday. The Yellow Touriste Train worth doing. Office de Tourisme helpful. Quai Henry IV lovely.Guest review byEasyAustralia
