Perfect location, in the center of the city close to lots of shops, restaurants and beautiful gardens… Very friendly and helpful staff. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. And the free breakfast in the morning had freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolat, to name a few of the delicious options that were offered. My young adult children loved the espresso machine! They helped themselves to it when we first arrived in the afternoon and in the morning too of course. The rooms had a fan, only one out of the three rooms we rented had AC. But the weather cooled down at night.
Located in the heart of Cognac, Hôtel Quai des Pontis is on the banks of the Charente River.

This hotel is right in the centre of town. The rooms were clean and well laid out. The parking was to the back of the hotel and enclosed. It made a great base to see the Cognac region from. Good wifi- the only wifi that was good during this visit to France.

Cognac is a very nice town and the surroundings too.
Cognac is a very nice town and the surroundings too. Visitors should go on a tasting tour at Martell and visit the castle of King François first. The distilleries tours are friendly and you will get a lot of infos about the amazing Cognac.
The old town is worth a visit especially the Couvent des Récollets and the churches.
If you have some time don’t hesitate to stroll near the Charente River. There is a five stars hotel named “les chais Jean Monnet” amazingly renovated and don’t miss a lunch or dinner at the restaurant. A true fantastic experience.

Full of charm and character.
Full of charm and character. Great size to visit the town on foot and feel that there is enough to see. We did one of the Cognac houses tour and tasting (Hennessy 2 hours) and enjoyed a meal at Les Chais Monnet, perfect little escapade.

We visited the tourist information centre, but we’re only told about the expensive brandy distillery tours, although there are free tours available outside the town, as well as one near the park.
Restaurants seemed to be overpriced.
To be fair, it was a grey, windy day in November when we visited, so we didn’t see it in its best light.

A lovely Town with much to see and enjoy!
Meukow Cognac House in particular!
The ‘ Garage Bar and Restaurant is superb with live music on Thursday and Saturday! Good food and Beverages plus very friendly Staff! Get in there!!😂👍
Our second visit to Cognac and we shall return!
Note! Wear shoes which have rubber soles as the cobbles and large paving blocks are ‘ time worn ‘ and slippery! The selection of Shops, Bars and Restaurants is excellent!
We stopped in Cognac on our way home to Ireland. Nice small hotel located in a very quiet area of Cognac. The hotel grounds are lovely. The family room was a very good size with plenty of storage. Swimming pool was great, during our 2 day stay it was never crowded, at some point we had it to ourselves for about 2 hours.
Would definitely come again, staying at this hotel was a very nice way to end our holiday, great choice if you are looking for peace and quiet.
The hotel was very modern and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. We loved the layout of the good sized, lodge like rooms.
The pleasant short walk to the centre square and shops of Cognac takes you over the river via a picturesque stone bridge. There is a great patisserie nearby to grab a quick pastry or savoury.
The car park was on site and gated at night.
All in all a very pleasant stay.
It is an amazing exceptionally beautiful place to stay! The owners are the most lovely people that greeted us warmly and gave us options for where to visit during our stay. To eat the complementary breakfast in an amazing room was breathtaking! And our bedroom was beautiful. It is exactly what we envisioned as a French Villa and so close to Cognac ! We will return soon. Merci!!
This is an absolute jewel 😃 The flat is more like a town house, with plenty of space and all the amenities you need. There is even a little courtyard at the back of the kitchen where you can relax in the evening or while having your breakfast. It is very well situated, near the heart of Cognac and the gardens. We will definitely recommend!
A lovely hidden gem just behind the Chateau de Cognac. The garden is a calming delight with many flowers and herb bushes (enough to make any gourmet cook jealous). The house is in the old style with high ceilings, and marble and wood floors. It was clean, beautiful and the owner makes you feel at home. We wish we could have stayed longer.
The location was excellent for exploring Cognac - just a minute walk to the river/bridge over to the old city. Choice of excellent restaurants very close by.
Clean, compact and stylish apartment. Good instructions for getting there and getting into the apartment.
Plenty of options for parking nearby (though no secure parking)
Perfect for an overnight stop - we were confused that we were not in the main hotel but was shown the rooms the opposite side of the street and the room was very nice with tea and coffee making facilities. It was not a problem. Staff were very helpful. And very close to restaurants for an evening meal
Very spacious apartment, beautifully decorated and centrally located near the shops and restaurants. Also working short walking distance to the big Cognac houses, making going to the tours really easy. Well equipped kitchen with microwave, oven, hob, washing machine.

Stunning hotel in beautiful grounds. Huge rooms with the most comfortable bed. Fantastic restaurant with delicious food. All the staff were friendly & so polite, you could tell how proud they were if this wonderful hotel. We didn’t want to leave.
I have food allergises and they provided special bread. Very pleasant staff and the room was a suite with walk in shower. Bed was very comfortable all for a great price. Highly recommend will definitely return as our #1 pick for Cognac hotel.
A very nice retreat away from the bustling, more touristy destinations. The property is close to restaurants and shops and walking distance from Chateaux de Cognac. The terrace was the cherry on top!
Thank you!
We always stay in 5 star hotels, this holiday trip we visited 3 different hotels. But only this hotel can be called truly 5 star, the other more like 3 or 4 as every detail is perfect.
