good location near metro and on street with shops and restaurants
bathroom was very small and in need of major upgrade.
The hotel is very nice and placed just in front of the metro stop Abbesses in a so nice and cosy quarter!
My partner and I always use this hotel when in Paris, we like the character and setting, right beside Sacre Couer, the artists quarter, etc. You can get a coffee right next door, you're bang in the middle of the action, cinemas, cafes, food outlets, bars...
Drunk kids shouting as loud as they could at 3.54am, 4.45am, etc., etc. So loud, that the noise penetrated even the double glazed shutters. Made for a terse kind of Sunday...
Central location in Montmartre (3 min walk from Moulin Rouge). Bars and restaurants nearby.
-No parking in front of the hotel. -Expensive parking garage 10 min (walking) from the hotel -Badly aired and hot inside. Mouldy atmosphere. -Staff hardly speaks English -Expensive rooms for what you get -Small room -It takes long before the nightwatcher opens the door. -Had to reactivate the keycard three times
Staff excellent and friendly. Cannot fault location. And good value for where it is
Like many hotels in Paris of this ilk tiny lift and small rooms so big luggage not easy but manageable. More a comment than criticism
Being in Montmartre Has a special away feel to it
Could use air conditioner
Ample tasty continental Breakfast, clean, well maintained room by housekeeping, room amenities (including safe deposit box), location, location, location...:-)...just a 10-15 minute walk to Sacr-Couer and Montmarte; Restaurant-Bar St. John across the street has good food at good prices (for Paris :-)
Tiny shower with only a curtain, tiny room, tiny elevator, internet continually "timing out" after 10-15 minutes (have to continually resign in); and you can hear the Metro rolling from the 4th floor;
lovely location (away from red light district) mins from Funi & close to bars and cafes, small clean rooms, a bit noisy but it's a City! Worth the extra for room with a view!
The décor of the room the quality of service and friendliness of the staff, and the view!
When I requested an iron and ironing board I was told that I could not take it to my room, and instead was set up with them to iron my clothes in the breakfast room! Not my favorite experience :)
We've stayed here several times before on our way back from running our Living Yoga Holidays in south west France. It's a great location, right in the heart of Montmartre. Great views if you're lucky of the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe or at the back - Le Sacre Coeur. Friendly staff, room basic but clean. We come back here every time we visit Paris which is at least once or twice a year!
It's worth paying a bit extra for a view of the Eiffel Tower - the rooms are fabulous and small and very traditional. A bell tower is right outside the window but thanks to double glazing, perfect nights sleep. Easy walk to Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Coure. Tonnes of cafes around and right next to the metro. Brilliant. Good continental breakfast too!
Loved it all!
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a pleasant experience. This hotel has no bells or whistles. It has the basics right- clean sheets and rooms, breakfast and freiendly staff but don't expect anything fancy.
The comfort of the room where everything worked well - and we had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was basic but excellent - and plenty of it. The situation is very convenient with a Metro station right outside.
The location is convenient and really easy to find the hotel. The staff was helpful.
the walls are too thin and it was difficult to sleep
The location, staff and food were all excellent. The square and very close cafes and the bakers (great for the breakfast in the hotel) created a warm friendly atmosphere. The staff were organised and friendly they booked my shuttle to the airport on the day I left at an inexpensive price.
I wandered out at night before bed time and was approached by a female beggar.
Sixth year we have stayed at this hotel and Sixth year my and my Wife have had a great stay. Friendly staff (As long as you try and speak a little french.. it is France after all not the UK or USA. Nice (Optional) Breakfast with great choice. Clean rooms and great facilities. Nice on-suite with shower, small bath tub and great toiletries plus they give you shoe shine pads. Amazing view over the Paris skyline with the Eiffel tower, great at night!
TV sets are a little small but do the job and offer a good range of channels. Can be noisy outside at night but being in a busy capital city you have to expect that.
Bed was big and comfortable, clean linen and towels, area was close to Pigall, Moulin Rouge etc but seemed safe enough, plenty of eating and drinking places nearby and Metro (Abbesses) was very close
Room was small for such a big bed...shower was small, too.
Great location. It's in a lovely area rich with restaurants, bars and brasseries, and near Sacre Coeur, if you like that sort of thing.
Room a little bit tired. Reception uninsprining. My shower had no way to actually hang it up and shower under it. There are several better in the area.
- The location, just 10 steps away from the nearest Metro, key tourist attractions and also great dining choices! - The staff are super helpful and kind. They are fluent in English, French and German - I love my room 46 - it has a great view of the Eiffel tower both in morning and at night.
- You won't get a personal fridge. I booked for a double premium room and it didn't have one. But, I am allowed to place my food in the common fridge - so that's okie.
location, staff, Wifi, TV
room was a little cramped, stuffy, no A/C, window wouldn't open
It's quite close to the Abbesses metro station and just a five-minute walk to Basilique du Sacré-Cœur and the other way to a supermarket.
The Abbesses metro station is currently without a lift to the ticket entrance.
Noise due to construction outside and had to have windows open to to heat
I like good friendly and helpfull staff in your hotel.Thank yuo!
Location, it's close to the metro station.
The houskeepers are very unprofessional. They opened my room's door without knocking 2 times in 3 days meanwhile I was inside and they didn't say even sorry for me.
