I stayed in Lowick, a small village as I was joining a trip to Lyndisfarne which is only a few miles away. I liked the fact that the village is close to the A1 but far enough away to avoid the noise of this busy road.

Lowick is a pleasant little village near the Northumberland coastline. Great location to explore attractions nearby. Black Bull is a lovely place to stay and to eat. Limited accommodation so not too noisy. Great for couples.

Nice village, not much there but easy to get to all the places we visited. Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Alnwick, seahouses to name but a few. The black bull inn is a fabulous pub and restaurant. Delicious food and the rooms are beautiful.

A beautifil wee village with 2 very good pub / restaurarants at either end. A great spot to decamp and strike out to Bamburgh or some of the other glorious spots in this beautiful part of the country. It's one of those places you'd think too good too not keep secret! Brilliant. We will be back there soon.

Lowick is a great place to stay when travelling up to Scotland - we used our visit to break the journey. It is a beautiful little village, with two great pubs (we stayed in the White Swan and ate in the Black Bull).

The White Swan is situated in the centre of the village opposite the village store. Our room was very large and comfortable and being in the village was quiet. The walk in shower was excellent, however the shower tray was very slippery and needs a bath mat - we used a towel. Both our evening meals and breakfasts were excellent. The hotel staff were really good and extremely helpful. Excellent wifi connection. This hotel was very Corvid 19 compliant. I have no hesitation in recomending this hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights while working at Lindisfarne Festival which meant a late check in so they arranged early key collection for me. Room was lovely (Lilburn) and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. All staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and lots of choice. Everywhere was clean. Will definitely stay here again!
