Lovely old hotel with a connection to Dylan Thomas. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was probably the best we had ever had and the same for Dexter's restaurant, outstanding. A cheese souffle to die for. Lilith our dog had a delivery of a silver foil handbag full of sausage each morning. She had a bag of gravy bones to go home with. The room was huge and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
We booked a room for 6 but ended up receiving a room for 8
Due to a leakage from heavy rain.
We only came to stay for the night to go to Skandavel early morning Pooja, so couldn't say much else about the area .

Hosts were attentive and friendly. Cottage was clean and had everything that you would need for your stay, including milk in the fridge and towels in bathrooms, which is a nice touch. Good communication and direction because of snow falling the day before, wasnt sure if they would be clear. Bathrooms were of high standards and shower was lovely.
Beautiful place, the castle is stunning with amazing views!
Beautiful place, the castle is stunning with amazing views! The Pubs in the area provide tasty food with good prices, there is a tea room which is very small and busy so I did feel a little uncomfortable.
Dylan Thomas boathouse was beautiful and enjoyed learning about him. It was a great place.

Splendid castle on the foreshore with an interesting history and plenty of other handsome and historic buildings in the town. Dylan Thomas connections were fascinating and our visit has encouraged me to return to reading his work. Fine views of the estuary.

Have to say the breakfast was excellent and the quality of the home made preserves was first class.. Lots of local information enhanced the value of my stay. Plenty of choice in the town for eating. I ate at the three mariners, again loved the experience.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.

This is the second time I've visited Laugharne.
This is the second time I've visited Laugharne. I returned because I love it. We visited Dylan Thomas' boat house and the Castle. We ate in Brown's Hotel most nights but also enjoyed a lovely Thai meal at Poons (on my previous visit to Laugharne I enjoyed the breakfasts at Poons). The meals at Brown's Hotel were excellent and there was nothing that I didn't like on the menu. I would recommend a walk along by the estuary which is flat and has beautiful scenery. St. Davids is a good place to visit and the National Botanical Gardens are worth a visit too. I would be happy to visit again.

Laugharne is a small Welsh village, famous because of Dylan Thomas, who lived & worked there and eventually was buried in the graveyard. There are some beautiful views, nice walks, a castle to visit and Dylan Thomas’s boathouse where he did his writing. The newly refurbished Browns hotel was his watering hole. The village has a post office, pharmacy, gift shop, restaurant, a chip shop, a Thai restaurant and two pubs. Check their opening hours as they stop doing food early. Dexters at Browns is excellent for food, but book because it is very popular.
Fabulous cottage with tasteful modern interior design maintaining a rustic charm. Located in the heart of Laugharne a stone's throw from eateries, local shop and Dylan's famous watering holes The Three Mariners and Brown's Hotel. A short stroll to the waterfront, views axross the estuary and the Boat House.
We loved the log burning stove, huge sofa and TV and comfortable beds! Being able to bring our little dog was a bonus as was the allocated free parking.

The hotel was easy to find with parking around the back. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We had dinner at Dexters which was incredible, very good value for money, the staff were so friendly and very attentive. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was also amazing!
I would definitely stay here again.
Very welcoming staff and service in bar was excellent. Loved watching Wales win the rugby on TV, along with the very friendly locals. Fabulous breakfasts tailored to our dietary requirements. Easy access to rooms with separate entrance from pub. Good location, plenty of parking and short walk into Laugharne centre.
Excellent welcome, shown to room and everything explained.
Comfy Bed,this Hotel is happy to be a bit quirky, but it's very friendly and comfortable..Bar and Restaurant staff were great
Dexter's Restaurant was absolutely delicious. Very meat focused, sorry vegan chums..
Breakfasts also top notch
Historical hotel in a beautiful West Wales village!
Our room option was large with a lovely roll top bath. Rooms were decorated to a height standard. Really large bed and very comfortable.
A superb steak restaurant on site. Both a wonderful evening meal and breakfast at site!
How welcome we were made to feel by the hosts Jane and Keith. Beautiful period hotel with history. Room was large, clean and exactly like the pictures and had a view of the castle. Very comfortable bed and freshly cooked breakfast which tasted divine. Everything was perfect .
A beautiful home with the most spectacular grounds , right in the centre of Laugharne. The house is lovely and homely.
We loved our stay there with the family.
Jac, the host, ensured we had the best stay keeping in touch regularly.
Loved it
Would move in and live there in heartbeat
Lovely property in a beautiful location
Who could not love Laugharne
The team at great Welsh escapes we’re very friendly and helpful
Easily 5 star for me given the location
Beautifully decorated room which all of us approved of, clean and comfortable, friendly bar staff and the restaurant food was excellent for our dinner in fact I'd travel just to eat it again without staying over at the hotel !
The owner was very welcoming and made the accommodation feel very homely. The house is situated about half a mile out of Laugharne, up a quiet country road - so it is a quiet country location.
It was a very nice stay, good location, decor, atmospher, reception, evening waiter/waitress staff and food very good. The room was good, clean, comfortable, breakfast was good.
