Amazing. When I backpacked thru Greece for a month in college from Germany, I stayed in cheap places and looked longingly on opulent hotels with beachfront views. Now, 38 years later, I was able to return to Greece and the Corfu Palace Hotel was a high point of our trip. The location is amazing, w/ panoramic views of the Bay, Corfu Strait, the Albanian mountains, and the Old Fortress. The views are spectacular from the breakfast room, pool, and each room with a private balcony! Plus, the hotel is an easy walk from the Old Fortress and Old City and countless restaurants and shops. The breakfasts were delicious, with a combo of Greek and western dishes. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, and Thomas in the breakfast room was our favorite! The rooms were spacious and the ambiance amazing!

Loved the lanes that were full of restaurants bars and shops. A vibrant town. The harbour has beautiful views and the Old Fort is worth the climb to see another spectacular view of Corfu Town. Be aware the larger shops close early on a Saturday and not open on a Sunday so if you are self catering make sure you ahve your supplies. Very easy to walk around the town. We eat at a number of different restaurants and would grade them from good to very good. Can be busy when the cruise ships are in.

Corfu was amazing, and my family members who went too all...
Corfu was amazing, and my family members who went too all agree. The Corfu Palace Hotel was a highlight, with great views, breakfasts, and location. We especially enjoyed climbing to the top of the Old Fortress and walking around the Old Town. We went to 2 beaches, Glythia and Porto Timoni, and if we had brought an international drivers license, we could have driven to the Porto Timoni, b/c we had to pay 200 Euros for a taxi to and from. One of my highlights was taking the ferry to Saranda, Albania. For over 40 years, Albania was "the North Korea of Europe," one of the world's most isolated nations with a harsh communist dictatorship. Now, one can travel there freely and from Corfu it was easy. We enjoyed the English worship service on Mother's Day at the Holy Trinity Church. If we had had more time, would have gone to the New Fortress and the Mon Repos palace and Mouse Island. Maybe on a future trip!

A stunning city with its own unique charm and character.
A stunning city with its own unique charm and character. Easily walkable both for the Old Town and its waterfront. Exceptional places to visit, especially the Old Fortress. Places that provide either wonderful views or just time to chill. A perfect location for a few nights stay.

Old Town lovely to mooch around with many retail and dining options. Both forts are impressive structures but a bit lacking in information and museum exhibits - very reasonably priced. Highly recommend Listons for coffee and lightmeals.

It is good to have a few days time.
It is good to have a few days time. Though one might be able to see most attractions in a day or two, it feels much nicer to take the time to roam through the atmospheric streets and see where one ends up and what is personally relevant at the time. It might be nice to visit the town market in the early morning hours; skip a breakfast in one's hotel and instead have breakfast in a coffee shop and sit between the locals; walk in non touristy areas and take time to make contact with sellers, like the wonderful owner of the religious gift shop 'Thomas', close to St. Spiridon church.
Take time for a siesta in the hottest hours of the day and start refreshed for an afternoon excursion to one of the recommended attractions, followed by a splendid dinner in one of the many restaurants in the narrow alleys of the town, accompanied by the songs of swallows.
We certainly come back, as there are still many things to discover and town and people deserve your interest and appreciation.
Lovely architecture, clean streets, classy cafes and restaurants. Fairly noisy, but seemed to switch off at midnight which was great. Massive choice and variety of cuisine. Modern, efficient local and island-wide buses. English spoken everywhere, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Highlight - Apothiki for mezzes and fabulous local folk music at the weekend.
Lovely little apartment in the absolute best location in Corfu old town. It is directly across from the old fortress, bus stop and taxi rank and we had a maximum of a 10 minute walk to get to any restaurant/place we wanted to get to in Corfu town! 2 beds upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs. Water and tea and coffee making facilities were provided and aircon was working. Host was lovely and met us to check us in late at night even after our flight was delayed and provided us with information about things to do in Corfu!
The breakfast was adequate, with a wide choice of warm savoury and sweet food and a good first breakfast. We did not try lunch and dinner.
The hotel is well placed close to Kanoni beach and Kanoni square. There, you can find several restaurants (including a really nice Greek Taverna) and the bus stop that is really easy to use to get to the main centre of Corfu town.
The staff was also really kind and helped us organise taxi bookings and recommended places where to eat in Corfu Town.
The cleanest Apartment/hotel you will ever have.
Alexandros speaks perfectly english and is such an intelligent/ charming and caring person, not to compare to anything !
His wife is a beautiful warm hearted woman.
The apartment is in the centre of corfu town, just opposite the asian museum.
I loved the tips where to go and what to do from Alexandros and his help
to what ever ….
I can not wait to go back to visit corfu, the apartment and this great couple.
Thank you again !
We arrived there pretty late at night because of our flight and even though it is a small hotel, it had someone on the reception that welcomed us and gave us the information about the hotel like wifi and so on.
Also on the following day they held our bag for a few hours after checkout so we could explore the city with less weight, I really appreciate them for doing that.
It's not a 5 star hotel, but it greatly serves its purpose of cost benefit.
Everything! We were lucky to book at Mayor Mon Repos. The location was excellent (few meters away from Kerkyra town), along with a wonderful view in front of the hotel including the sea (at 180 degree from the balcony) and the greenery of the hills. In addition, the hotel was above expectation in terms of luxury, comfort, staff and breakfast. worth mentioning that latter was royal and succulent, and the staff were very friendly and respectful.
Room 403 had a small but usable balcony with great view over the bay and the port. Car parking is tricky, but this is normal for Corfu town due its wonderful antiquity. Unlike many, there was a lift for baggage. Room nice and spacious, no complaints save one; we would have liked a kettle in the room, especially as there was a small, useful, fridge. We did not avail of the breakfast as there were so many eateries near by. Location is excellent.
The apartment is perfect. I couldn't fault it, even if i tried. Newly renovated, stylish, with two air conditioners and mosquito nets on each window. The location could not be better. Right in the old town and a step away from the beaches. Maria is the best hostess, she is like a good friend. I love Corfu town's authentic rustic style but, it is a treat to walk in the luxurious apartment after walking in the summer heat.
Excellent apartment!! Feels like at home!
The host is very polite and responsive!
I found the place as described, fully equipped, comfortable and clean!
The best thing about this apartment is the location. It is located in the heart of Corfu town and everything you might need, like supermarket, cafeterias, restaurants are in a walking distance!
I would totally recommend this place!
Very clean room, comfortable bed, quiet, amazing swimming pool and tasty breakfast with different variety of choices including fresh orange juice and another healthy options, spa & sauna, friendly and helpful staff. Adults only is perfect option which guarantee well rest. I saw a lot of 5 stars hotels which does not look as good as Corfu Mare. Well done!
The location is amazing. Right in the center of Corfu town, surrounded by restaurants and shops. The stuff was nice and professional but the cleaning lady forgot to change our towels once and the floor in our room was a bit dusty. However, the facilites and toileteries were fine. And loved the rooftop restaurant wih beautiful view and delicious food!
This was by far one of the best stays I had. The owners go above and beyond with their hospitality. You've some small snacks in the studio. It's super clean.. and the bed is really comfy.
They'll meet you, tell some things what to do in corfu townd and bring you to the studio.
Location is perfect, in the centre. But no issues with street noise.
The location is ideal indeed. The host is the best: very responsive, and very kind. He reacts to every single request very quickly and his (his representative's here in Corfu town) actions meet all our expectations. The host gave us his sightseeing recommendations and on the restaurants with the best local cuisine.
Very professional staff. The location is really great in the real centre of Corfù. The Rooftop terrace is one of the best in town.. Overall a good hotel so I can recommend it; you pay for the location but the interiors probably require some refurbishment, as it is all a bit old.
Everything was fantastic. Location is the best in Corfu town. The hosts were the most hospitable and lovely people. The bed was comfortable, shower large and powerful and a superb breakfast with eggs cooked to order and a great spread of fresh produce. We loved our stay here.
We travelled around the Balkans and Greece for a few weeks and this was the best property we stayed at. The apartment is an absolute dream. The host was above and beyond accommodating and responsive taking extra care to ensure a great stay.
Superb boutique hotel, exceptional in every way. The breakfast, served in a beautiful courtyard was among the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. A true gem.
