Excellent hosts with a smile on their faces and always happy to assist. We had our plan on what to visit and where to eat, but they provided us with a map of the area and very good restaurant choices! Very clean room and very nice Mountain view from it.

The place was very special and nicely decorated.
The guy what works there was always helpful and pleasant, but his English was not so good so sometimes was hard to communicate.
The location was great as well and close to restaurants in the village.

Papigko is a beautiful village, cobbled streets with quaint shops, bars and restaurants and stunning views of surrounding mountains. The only disappointment was that it seems in mid-September many bars and restaurants seem to close for at least a week break (some maybe a little longer). We were informed it was a break before the autumn/winter season starts. However there was still some places to eat and drink so all was ok. Lots a walking trails around for keen hikers. Well worth a visit to this Village, you would not be disappointed.

we visited during summer and it was the busiest village of Zagoria which made it more socializing than others. Also it has cute coffee shops and
tavernas almost every corner. It also has access to multiple good hiking routes as well as springs and lake so you dont have to travel far to access hiking paths if you are short in time or dont want to do another adventurous car ride up in the mountain.

There are tons of things to do in and around Papigko. From the walks around the picturesque village, to exploring the culinary experiences on offer, to the serene hikes and the Papigko rock pools. Before reaching Papigko, be sure to stop on the banks of the Boithomatis river and have a dip in the cold waters on a hot summer's day. The place is equally as breathtaking in the winter as it is in the summer. The air is clean it almost has a taste to it from all the lovely flora and fauna. Don't miss out, go there and you will find welcoming locals and memories to last you a lifetime.

Papigko is situated in the Zagoria mountains with interesting history and spectacular scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks in the mountains and in the Vikos Gorge. The surrounding villages have lots to see with interesting architecture and history. Our 5-night visit was just right. Greece has so much more to offer than just lovely beaches!

When you are at Papigko, you should visit Ovries, the local summer natural complex of small pools between Mikro and Megalo Papigko. Mikro Papigko for its nice view from to of the mountain and for hiking to Drakolimni. River Voidomatis for rafting is another location to visit.
The location is spectacular, high up overlooking the mountains and Vikos gorge and the village of Papingko is beautiful with many good restaurants.
The hotel is a thoughtfully preserved traditional compound. Breakfast is very good and Vassilis the owner is friendly and willing to help or advise on how to best spend your time.
This is a remarkable part of Greece with lots of history, fabulous landscapes, cold swimming places, walks and wonderful old stone bridges. One needs a lot of time to explore the area and we really loved it.
The couple here was so friendly and kind. It's a beautiful traditional guesthouse located in a picturesque village. The breakfast was excellent. The pastry served at breakfast was one of my favorite things I ate during my trip to Greece. I can't recommend this place enough. I would definitely stay here again!
Note: Park at the bottom of the village and walk up to the guesthouse. There are signs as you go through the village and it was easy to find.
A stunning and unique hotel - a cluster of small stone houses facing the most spectacular view.
We had a family room, which had a double bed upstairs and a large sofa bed downstairs- perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers.
The (small) pool and bar are just lovely and a great place to hang out and cool down after a day of hiking.
Staff were very helpful and organised an early breakfast for us so we could leave earlier for our walk.
Amazing genuine hosts and wonderfully clean and comfy room with the best view of Astraka in all Mikro Papingo. We had excellent homemade ice cream and breakfast here, everything is homemade with love and attention. They even started breakfast 30 minutes early for us so we could start our hike on time and have excellent local recommendations. Staying at Pinocchio was the highlight of our two week trip so far!
A very nice room, with a comfortable bed, and a great shower. Great view from the terrace. The breakfast was rich and plentiful, and probably the best we had in this trip to Greece. The host, Yiorgos is super friendly and very helpful. Can drive right up to the gate of the property and park right next to the gate, which is important since the property is at the edge of the village.
Great place to spend a few days in the mountain, we used it as a base for walking the vikos gorge and rafting the voidomatis river. Vangelis is a great host, breakfast is simple but perfect and really enough. Bathroom is small but clean and again, perfect for staying in Papingo. Don't expect hotel amenities, it is a guesthouse. But totally recommended!
Superb accommodation! The hotel was very nice and traditional. The room we stayed in was very warm, cozy and extremely clean. The beds were also comfortable. Mr. Yiorgos who owns and runs the place is the most incredible person and he made our stay much more enjoyable with his positive attitude and hospitality.
I highly recommend this place!
Perfect location in the top of the village with amazing mountains view in nice shared balcony, private parking area, well equipped and clean rooms, authentic and beautiful style. Breakfast was beyond expectations. We even bought a jar of their perfect homemade orange jam for few Euros. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended!
Right in the middle of a beautiful Greek mountain village. Giota is a great host! the property is sweet and quaint, magical touches of crafts and antiques throughout the property. Greenery, butterflies, bumblebees reflect a healthy and thriving ornamental and vegetable/fruit garden. The breakfast was excellent.
Quite simply - the highlight of our family holiday to Greece. An incredible place to stay beneath Papigo Towers, with wonderful friendly staff with lots of tips and advice (thank you Dina and team) and excellent food and breakfasts. We will be back!
beautiful scenic hotel, delicious breakfast, friendly owners. We loved it. Waking up at the hotel and looking at the mountains in the morning is a memory I'll remember for a long time. Breakfast was incredible.
The room was clean, very comfortable with great views, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Papigo.
George was a thoughtful and exceptional host! We were treated like friends and given many helpful recommendations for hikes. The hotel is stunning and views surreal with natural mountainous beauty!
Lovely Vasilia and her son Greg were wonderfull hostes gave us unforgatble welcome and stay.

The village is wow, very uniqe!
An incredibly accommodating host running a beautiful hotel in the heart of Papingo. Our room was fantastic, breakfast was delicious, and the host assisted in booking activities in the area.
This hotel was in a lovely spot at the edge of village. Convenient hiking paths right outside the hotel door. Beautiful view of the mountains from our room.
