Excellent hosts with a smile on their faces and always happy to assist. We had our plan on what to visit and where to eat, but they provided us with a map of the area and very good restaurant choices! Very clean room and very nice Mountain view from it.
Offering a pool and a bar, the stone Avragonio is located 984 feet from Papigo Village center.

The place was very special and nicely decorated.
The guy what works there was always helpful and pleasant, but his English was not so good so sometimes was hard to communicate.
The location was great as well and close to restaurants in the village.

Papigko is a beautiful village, cobbled streets with quaint shops, bars and restaurants and stunning views of surrounding mountains. The only disappointment was that it seems in mid-September many bars and restaurants seem to close for at least a week break (some maybe a little longer). We were informed it was a break before the autumn/winter season starts. However there was still some places to eat and drink so all was ok. Lots a walking trails around for keen hikers. Well worth a visit to this Village, you would not be disappointed.

we visited during summer and it was the busiest village of Zagoria which made it more socializing than others. Also it has cute coffee shops and
tavernas almost every corner. It also has access to multiple good hiking routes as well as springs and lake so you dont have to travel far to access hiking paths if you are short in time or dont want to do another adventurous car ride up in the mountain.

There are tons of things to do in and around Papigko. From the walks around the picturesque village, to exploring the culinary experiences on offer, to the serene hikes and the Papigko rock pools. Before reaching Papigko, be sure to stop on the banks of the Boithomatis river and have a dip in the cold waters on a hot summer's day. The place is equally as breathtaking in the winter as it is in the summer. The air is clean it almost has a taste to it from all the lovely flora and fauna. Don't miss out, go there and you will find welcoming locals and memories to last you a lifetime.

Papigko is situated in the Zagoria mountains with interesting history and spectacular scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks in the mountains and in the Vikos Gorge. The surrounding villages have lots to see with interesting architecture and history. Our 5-night visit was just right. Greece has so much more to offer than just lovely beaches!

When you are at Papigko, you should visit Ovries, the local summer natural complex of small pools between Mikro and Megalo Papigko. Mikro Papigko for its nice view from to of the mountain and for hiking to Drakolimni. River Voidomatis for rafting is another location to visit.
The location is spectacular, high up overlooking the mountains and Vikos gorge and the village of Papingko is beautiful with many good restaurants.
The hotel is a thoughtfully preserved traditional compound. Breakfast is very good and Vassilis the owner is friendly and willing to help or advise on how to best spend your time.
This is a remarkable part of Greece with lots of history, fabulous landscapes, cold swimming places, walks and wonderful old stone bridges. One needs a lot of time to explore the area and we really loved it.
We had the most wonderful time staying here. Our room was cool and comfortable, the view was breathtaking, the breakfast was huge and delicious - but it was Giorgios and Athena that really made our stay great. They were so kind and helpful, going out of their way to make our trip to Zagori wonderful. We stayed for six days, which we were worried would be too long, but we had such a good time in Mikro Papigo that it felt like we could have stayed longer. περάσαμε υπέροχα!
This place and its staff really exceeded our expectations! The location is amazing, and the set up of the hotel is literally all you need in order to fully emerge in Papingo. The view of the mountain peaks, the little bridge you cross above the river to make it to the hotel, the breakfast menu that is changing daily, the warm and cozy room, Mrs Voula, and overall everything fits perfectly the location and what you need to enjoy your time there!
The hotel is located in a quite place at the corner of the village, away from the shops, but within short walking distance. The rooms are very spacious, with all amenities required, and with a nice balcony overlooking the mountain. The view is spectacular. The rooms were super clean. The hosts are very kind and helpful; Marialena made everything she could for us to have a very pleasant stay.
Great place to spend a few days in the mountain, we used it as a base for walking the vikos gorge and rafting the voidomatis river. Vangelis is a great host, breakfast is simple but perfect and really enough. Bathroom is small but clean and again, perfect for staying in Papingo. Don't expect hotel amenities, it is a guesthouse. But totally recommended!
Wonderful hotel, rustic feeling, superb views, nestled in the nature. The room was spacious, very clean with its own outdoor space with a big table and chairs overlooking the mountains. The hosts were very friendly, always there for guidance and tips. Definitely worth it!
We were a family of 5 visiting at Papigo and we loved Absolutely everything!!!
Golfo is the best host, we could stay there a week more had it been possible . The road is a bit challenging but after going up once it turned to be a piece of Cake 😊
We have travelled in papingo area. The hotel is Close to the center of village, The room with the balcony was wonderful, the view of the mountains was amazing.
The stuff is Friendly Good breakfast
don't miss the yogoat.
Great location inside Papigko, the rooms are very spacious and have everything one might need (Comfy beds, sofa, kitchen, big bathroom). The owner was very polite, helpful and nice!
Definitely recommend this hotel!
A homely, clean hotel run by a lovely couple, Olga and Kostas, kind and pleasant, ready to help wholeheartedly, the hotel has a balcony with an amazing view of the Timpi ridge. Highly recommend
An incredibly accommodating host running a beautiful hotel in the heart of Papingo. Our room was fantastic, breakfast was delicious, and the host assisted in booking activities in the area.
Nice studio way on top of a mountain, incredible views in a great village setting. Great free breakfast, good wifi, great hosts, fast communication. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel is situated in the most megical spot, rooms are locally decorated , breakfast generous , and the hospitality amazing! A place worth the whole visit to Greece!
Homey in the best way- every detail of the place was chosen with care
The view is the best in the village (it's higher than the rest)
Wonderful caring owners
This hotel was in a lovely spot at the edge of village. Convenient hiking paths right outside the hotel door. Beautiful view of the mountains from our room.
Great location and amazing view on top of the Papigo village. Exeptional hospitality, rich and tasty breakfast and one of the best neture spot in Greece!
