The town is not too big, but big enough to have all you need. At night there is a lot of people on the streets. There are more than enough fine places to eat and to buy stuff. The streets are at an incline and parking can be a challenge sometime especially when there are many visitors from other places. You can't always expect to park within 50m from you apartment, but it's not too bad. The city beach is wonderful, clean coast, clean water, plenty of space. Lagomandra beach is about 7min driving to the north (back to Nikiti) and is a very popular place for a good reason. Neos Marmaras is small town in the hills so you have to be carefull when you choose location of your accomodation because some streets are very steep. On the way from Neos Marmaras to Nikiti you have several nice beaches, everything is very close to eachother. I was pleasantly surprised that the beaches we visited were not crowded at all, including those very close to Neos Marmaras itself. However, the most exciting and memorable part of our stay was a one-day boat rental. We drove to Vourvourou (ca. 30 km from Neos Marmaras) to start the boat trip.
