It is enough to go for long weekend or 3 nights it has enough to offer, but not for super long. It is the best to go off season, because there are few beaches that are beautiful and are empty and available when there is not a touristic season.

This place is perfect for holiday-makers who want to get around quickly, find everything within walking distance and just plan to relax on the beach. Reasonable prices altogether, no luxury resorts. There are better places when you plan to do anything other than just lying on the beach and spend a happy time there.

Agia Marina and the rest of the island offers beautiful...
Agia Marina and the rest of the island offers beautiful beaches, some of them sandy and you can walk out for miles! It can be reached by 30 minute hydro from Athens to Aegina town, then a 20 minute taxi ride. The main town has everything you could need regarding choice of traditional greek and more contemporary restaurants, a few bars, shops and supermarket. For us it was reminiscent of 'old Greece' and not geared up to British tourists, which we loved! Amongst the charm, be prepared for the 'closures' like you may see in any seaside town in the UK, be that hotel developments or shops. A car is useful to visit the islands beaches and ancient landmarks. Aegina needs more tourists, but only those that want to experience Greece.

The water is the best water I’ve swam in in my lifetime. There is a ferry from the cove only 1 per day on Hellenic seaways.11:20 departure.
It will save you $25 cab ride to the port side of the island.

The Marina is a nice haven in which to stay, everything is to hand and the beach is wonderfully long, ideal location to either take a walk to the little church (recommended) or just sit and soak up the Sun.
Restaurants are also plentiful and either on or close to the beach making for a great evenings relaxation with good food and a glass of wine.
Its family friendly as apart from the high street you're out of the way of traffic, also the sea is shallow and warm making it safe for a wide age range.

Explore guest reviews of hotels in Agia Marina Aegina
The hosts, Monika and Fedy, are the nicest people I've met in all of Greece, and I've met a lot of nice people there. They will happily give you great recommendations, take care of any needs you have, and cook a very good breakfast. If you're looking for a nice, not too expensive hotel in Aegina, this is the place to go. Also Agia Marina is a very nice little village.
The best way to get around is by renting a car or something similar, that way you can explore the whole island! Plenty of great things to see!
The hotel is in a convenient location - 5 min walk from Bus (KTEL) station and 8 minutes from the ferry marina.
(+) Very comfortable Beds and pillows !
(+) Shampoo and body wash products.
(+) TV Signal ok
(+) Mini Fridge ok
(+) Descent WiFi coverage in the 1st floor (free wifi) Good for simple browsing, youtube, spotify, etc
(+) Strong Air Condition (August)
I Didn't have any Breakfast but The breakfast room is small ( 08:00 -10:00)
Third time in aegina - agia Marina - first time at Erato Hotel. We stayed for 14 nights with 2 adults and two teenager children in 2x standard rooms. The rooms was clean and functional with really nice beds (something that is not always the case in Greece) The bathroom was small but clean and it served it's purpose. Breakfast was simple but suffisient - . Lovely grounds - loved the small pool (big enough). Nice people working at Erato!
The common areas of the hotel were nicely done and clean.
The food - breakfast, lunches and dinners - were all tasty. Really pleasantly surprised
All of the staff from reception, to housekeeping, to the restaurant staff were all kind, welcoming and accommodating. Christos who seemed to work all the given hours at the restaurant was always friendly and warm.
Wonderful friendly host, value for money and close to the beautiful little beach town. Very clean and spacious, good breakfast in her beautiful garden. Aggelici even served greek yoghurt and coffee before 7 in the morning to us on our last morning, we had to catch an early bus back to Aegena. Thank you Aggelici we had a wonderful 4 days in Delfini Hotel!
The location is just perfect. Couldn't have been better. Our room had the view of the sea and the waves lulled us to sleep every night. Even though the beach is full of people most of the day, the hotel is a quiet place to stay in.
The room has everything you need in it and the staff is friendly and helpful. Don't miss out on their wonderful breakfast!
Perfect place to stay in Aegina island!❤️
Situated just 5 minutes from the clean sand beach, with a small pool in the territory and comfortable rooms. Our room was big, with a private bathroom and a small kitchen, air conditioning and TV, with a balcony and the great view for the sea and the pool. I definitely recommend this place, you won't regret!
The view and how close to the beach the hotel is and also close to all shops and food places. A bit down the road from the hotel there is a traditional tavern with live music! Absolutely beautiful. Iannis the owner was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel has also a shop with summer clothing and some good prices as well.
The family was lovely - they met us at the location with their sweet dog and explained all the necessary info and handed us the keys. The accommodation was exactly as described, a big beautiful balcony and a great room with the necessities easily accessed. Highly recommended for a stay in Aegina!
View from the room is nice. Room itself is pretty big and clean, had 2 balconies - one on sea side, another is on mountain side. And Jenny at reception is the best - she is very friendly, helpful and tried to do everything, so we will have the best experience in Aegina island.
Draw dropping views. The best position by far in Aegina Marina. Modern but authentic decor. Staff so helpful and kind but unobtrusive. Swimming off the rocks into the sea. Easy walk into town. Curtesy bus to port. Spotlessly clean.
All was perfect, from the host to the room, to the breakfast. Lovely people, very warm and welcoming. Always on call for whatever we needed. All was worth it for two relaxing nights in Aegina away from the craze of the big city!
The property has beautiful stone architectural features from a time long ago. Very well maintained. Demetrios was an excellent host. He taught us about the art and history of his home and of Aegina and Aphaia.
The hotel was clean, and the food was amazing. Also, Great location close to the beach and amazing restaurants around. The owner is a super helpful and caring lady. We felt like home there. Highly recommend.
Lovley location small walk from beach and Main Street, small hotel, really helpful host, simple tasty breakfast outside. Hotel met expectations for price and location and we really enjoyed our stay.
Great location in the waterfront section of old Agia Marina on Aegina Island. Great swimming area. Really nice value restaurant on the water. Free breakfast. Nice “mom and pop” local hotel.
Stay at Helios Hotel was amazing. The owner Gregori was very helpful, location and place itself were perfect. Also excellent choice when traveling with a pet like we did :)
