Bustling area perfect for people watching. Watch the changing of the guard, take a walk through the royal gardens; walk down Ermou for shopping and connect to Monasteraki to continue the experience. Short walk to all the best museums and several sights.
Walk across the street directly opposite the King George Hotel and go down the steps. There is an unadvertised cafe at bottom on the left. Best freshest Greek Village salad and great cold alpha beer. Get the big glass. Lots of pastries, coffee omelette sandwiches. Fair and not over priced. Great place to people watch the folks coming out of the subway under the Parliament House after you see the changing of the Gua
It was fun to watch the changing of the guard, but we got a lot more out of it because our tour guide explained everything to us. I would definitely recommend taking the free Athens tour. The guides are incredible.
Lots of ambiance and atmosphere of all kinds through day and night. Fantastic meeting point and options for cafes and point of where u get trams , especially when I went to the Glyfada (athenian riviera ). Impressive square .
Sunday, 11am, is the big ceremonial changing of guards. Get here early though to secure a spot among the crowds. Guards change at other times too but the elaborate event with traditional Greek dresses happens on Sunday. In the evening, there are vendors in the park square below that sell nuts and dried fruit. Their fare is excellent! For a fancy dinner with a view of Acropolis and syntagma lit up at night, try Tudor Hall restaurant at the top of King George hotel that lines syntagma square.
Changing of the guard at the top of each hour. Stand at attention when taking pictures along side the guard. Music in the square and little cafes along the perimeter make it a nice evening stroll leading into Ermou street and into Plaka

We absolutely love the location of this apartment. Airport Express bus is just there right downstairs. Syntagma Square metro station is just right there. Walking distance to Ermou, Plaka & all tourist attractions. Apartment was spotless, neat & tidy too. Minimal design & very comfortable. Bed is firm and nice. Big bathroom, biggest we've seen in Greece by far. There's even a washing machine. There's a lift in the building so no worries with the luggages. Wifi worked fine.

The first thing that I have to mention is the view that the rooms (or at least mine) have. I was able to see across town all the way to the Acropolis. It was nice to be able to see it showered in light at night and to also wake up to that view in the morning. Aside from that, the hotel is centrally located, an easy walk to Syntagma square as well as to plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Staff was friendly and check-in/check-out processes were easy and straightforward.

The apartment is really comfortable, it's super modern and chic, makes you feel just like home in Athens. The host is super nice providing bottles of water, coffee capsules, juices. The location as well, it's in this really nice neighbourhood where there's local bakery, cafes and stores which is not so touristy but yet close to syntagma square about 10 mins slow walk. Highly recommended!!!

I love this entirely new and spacious apartment! It is extremely well-equipped, the bed is extra comfy, and it even has capsule coffee. It is in Kolonaki, a great neighborhood 10-min walk from Syntagma Square, so it’s vibrant but without tourist traps. The host is very responsive and attentive from the very beginning. I will definitely come back, and I will recommend it to my friends as well.

The hotel is in an amazing location, in the heart of Plaka and steps from Syntagma Square. Really could not ask for a better location. The staff were very helpful, and the room was nice, with a pretty amazing view of the Acropolis. The rooftop lounge has a spectacular view of the city, and is a wonderful place to have a drink at sunset. Get there early, though!

The bed was very comfortable, the area was roomy enough for us. Plus being right near the Syntagma square made getting to the apartment very easy by metro from the airport and to get around Athens. Everything was within walking distance. Even though right in the centre of the city it was very quiet at night. The pictures on the booking.com site are accurate.

The location is amazing! It is probably the best value hotel in this location. Walking distance to Acropolis, Ermou, Syntagma Square, National and Kapodistrian University. Very close to metro station. The breakfast was also very good. Hotel staff was very attentive and kind.

Friendly staff, clean, functional rooms at a good rate for the center of Athens. The surrounding area has some nice cafes and restaurants. The hotel is within walking distance of the National Gardens and Syntagma Square as well as several metro/bus/tram stops.

Modern spacious room, very clean, excellent bed, good breakfast. Hotel is close to central Athens metro station (Syntagma Square). Moderate walk to main shopping and dining areas below Acropolis.

The hotel has a brilliant location on Syntagma Square. The hotel room was very basic but did the job. The bathroom was more modern but small. Breakfast was adequate.
