The hotel is lovely, the staff is very kind and welcoming. Our room and its terrace were fantastic. A very short walk from great restaurants and the port. We booked here because of the hotel location and its pool, and we wish we could've stayed longer!

This hotel was absolutely breathtaking. The room was amazing with a water view and our terrace. The staff was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious, and the weather was gorgeous while we were there. We felt like royalty at this resort. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating to whatever we needed. I chose to include breakfast with our stay, and I believe this is the best decision I could have made outside of extending our stay by another day. :)

This hotel is almost perfect. We loved our room, with a comfy bed and windows that opened out to the village. The hotel staff were warm and kind, giving us tips for dinner and info about the area. We appreciated the Nespresso coffee in our room. And the breakfast was amazing - fresh Greek food and homemade pastries. The atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful.

Hydra is a wonderful place for scenery-gazing and long quiet walks (soundtrack: goat bells, cocks crowing and the occasional donkey bray) - past the monasteries, to the peak of Mount Eros, or across and a scramble down to Limnioniza Beach which we had entirely to ourselves... Our two best meals were both at Techne, where the food is technically accomplished, harmonious and subtle. Jeff Koons' Apollo Wind Spinner at the Deste Project Space Slaughterhouse is a fun diversion on the road to Mandraki. And the many cats seem by and large in good health and well tended thanks to Hydra Ark.

Charming island in a 2 hour ferry ride from Piraeus. Lots of waterside cafes and other restaurants in the center. Nice easy walks along the water, or steeper hikes up the hillside. Many shops. A good place for relaxing.

What I liked the most is that there were no cars, you can go everywhere on foot, very picturesque, quite, the people are friendly and polite, the food was great a bit expensive in elegant restaurants though.
I would like to go again!

NIce island. No cars. Beaches easy to access. Plenty o decent restaurants
Sometimes Hydra Town gets a bit touristy mostly when the big passenger boats come in. The business goes when the passenger ships leave! Nice opportunities for walks outside town, beautiful environment. The town is clean and there are some small supermarkets to get supplies.

Pros: Clean, great food, many options, a lot to see.
Pros: Clean, great food, many options, a lot to see. Good for walking, has small horses and donkeys for transportation. No cars. Everything in walking distance.
Cons: many of the restaurants were not open (March 2024), while their websites said they were. Relevantly pricey. Ugly, monstrous yachts moored at the front of the little harbour. Expect tourists with an attitude - not very friendly.
Since this is a newer property, I will be very detailed. Location is wonderful and room fully newly renovated and excellent in quality apart from an air conditioner that did not cool the room more than a few degrees. (similar air conditioner currently at a different hotel in Santorini puts out much cooler temperatures in much larger space .) Only 3 apts so very quiet apart from some night Restarant chatter below several yards away. TV nice. Beds comfortable … on firmer side if that matters to you. Nice to have the TV.
It was a very good experience, I really enjoyed my stay there. The location is perfect, facing the port and on the same level as the arrival from the boats, which means not carrying suitcases up the alleys and stairs of Hydra. The hotel itself is small but very nice, the room is perfectly clean, with a good size, comfortable bed and good shower. I did not get a room with balcony, but there’s a communal balcony where I could sit down and enjoy the view. The staff is also very cordial and kind.
The historic estate is a truly wonderful getaway. The garden is a beautiful and calm place to chill, have breakfast or drinks. The rooms are really well equipped and have really good air conditioning which kept us cool in 32degree heat. The host Andreas is absolutely amazing. Also the accommodation is really easy to get to from the port. A lot of hotels in Hydra are higher up on the mountain and it’s difficult to get your suitcases up there. This is NOT the case here.
We stayed 2 nights at Douskos Port House and are very excited. Vasileo was a perfect and very attentive host, also the breakfast team was quite charming. Our room was very large, overlooking the harbor and the amenities were very good.
The breakfast spot on the rooftop terrace alone is worth booking at Douskos Port House. So we can only recommend this beautiful boutique hotel and will come again.
Warm regards to Vasileo and his team

One of the original mansions converted to a pretty, historic hotel. Loved all the courtyards, balconies, sitting areas, little gardens. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Yanni!
Location perfect, 300 yards from the port; busy, touristy area with all the restaurants and shops. But the hotel itself is in very quiet, peaceful area.
Breakfast was nice, maybe should be more varied from day to day. Classic Greek breakfast.
2 minutes walk from the port & many restaurants/cafes. Clear instructions from the Hotel how to find it made it very easy to reach it. Polite receptionists. Smooth Check-in. Quiet Peaceful Hotel. Pleasant Room, Comfortable Double bed, Good Bathroom. Little Fridge. Electric Kettle. Sufficient Daily Cleaning Service. Nice mountain view from the balcony. Great value for Money. Would stay if in Hydra again.
This is a family run hotel. As a guest I had the feeling that I am staying at the owner's home and not in a hotel and that gives a great feeling.
The owner is very friendly, polite and provided a lot of information about Hydra.
The hotel location is great- short walk from the port.
The room is spacious, with large balcony, very clean and well equipped.
The breakfast is good.
Very recommanded!
This charming boutique hotel is located right off the harbor in an old stone building. However the rooms are modern and updated with a simple charm. Our host was gracious and patiently waited for our late arrival at the harbor and ushered us to our rooms. No breakfast is provided but there are several cafes right on the harbor walk that serve excellent breakfasts.
Staying on Hydra was like a dream and the Phaedra Hotel was such a beautiful place - a bit back from the port so very very quiet with beautiful little streets all around, possibility to walk up to the hills behind the town, very close to all the restaurants and shops. Hilda was so friendly, welcoming, helpful with lots of advice and support during our stay.
The staff was fantastic friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with good air condition. The transparent shower area was easily covered with a curtain. We had access to a beautiful rooftop terrace with a fantastic view. The delicate breakfast was served at the terrace. This hotel was an important contribution to our lovely stay at Hydra.
I love their garden area and the location. It's perfectly located not far from the port. The hotel has this beautiful lemon trees in the garden. Perfect place to breakfast and work from away.
The rooms are clean and the one we booked is refurbished and modern. 2nd time back in Hydra and this charming hotel.
We absolutely loved this place !!! Perfect location in the heart of hydra. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Close to the port and the “beach”.
The staff made us feel very welcomed, Nikolas gave us great tips on how exploring the island!
We 100% recommend this hotel ! Such a lil gem.
The hotel is in a great location, only a couple of minutes away from the busy part of town, The room, with balcony was very comfortable, clean. The staff managed to clean and make the beds every day during our time at breakfast. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good.
The location was perfect steps away from harbor. My room was charming overlooking bougainvillea flowers -quintessential Greece! Kettle coffee, tea and large water bottle complimentary in room! AC - everything to love. Rooftop views!. Nice helpful proprietor! I Would return !
Wonderful 3 room guesthouse that functions like a small boutique hotel. Crazy beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed, nice courtyard and high touches like wine, coffee and snacks in your room. Perfect location- easy walk from the harbor.
great location!! right in the port, everything we wanted to do was a short walk from the hotel:) also, Dafni was amazing and helped us figure out how to take the sea taxis. super kind and helpful🩵
everything about the Orloff Boutique Hotel was exceptional. Comfortable room, helpful and gracious staff, great breakfast in open-air courtyard, perfect location, quiet, historic property.
