The entire place was beyond our expectations. It certainly is one of the most interesting and best laid out 5 star hotels we've ever been too. The museumesque architecture is so fantastic. You could wander around all day and find something interesting to learn. On top of it the spa is top notch.

This property is absolutely gorgeous! I loved every minute of my stay here. I was in suite 5, and the bathroom felt like it belonged in a castle. I’ve never experienced such a big bathtub in my life; it would definitely be big enough for 2 people, if that is something you are looking for… The bed was very comfortable, and it was great to have a private veranda with a giant hammock. Breakfasts were delicious, as was my complimentary welcome cocktail. I had dinner in the restaurant one night; it is just gorgeous and there was live music. All staff that I interacted with were friendly and welcoming. I took advantage of the lap pool each morning and participated in a wonderful yoga class with Giulia. If I return to Antigua I will absolutely stay at Meson Panza Verda again.

The Host at the front desk was exceptional! I’ll say it again ha- Exceptionable! She had an excellent disposition and spoke very good English. The room was very comfortable, great location near everything. Safe area and the upstairs roof top view —- wow! From there it was certainly the first time I could see two volcanoes at once. Free coffee and water. For an extra charge they did my laundry and it was much appreciated! Oh yeah… I loved the 80’s music playing most of the days I was there.

It's a UNESCO site, so you know with certainty it's very special. I found it spellbinding; it's a place that "has it all!" Never once felt unsafe, even walking through town alone in the wee hours of the morning. Easily and enjoyably very walkable, even from one side of the city to the other (but you need comfortable walking shoes given the cobblestone streets laid in the 1850s). Great restaurants and pubs on every block, too numerous to mention except, perhaps, for the Irish pub called "Snug."

Antigua is a beautiful city with so much to do and so much to see! I walked all over the city at all times of the day and night! I never saw any danger or felt any danger! Antigua is very safe, different than Guatemala city! I did not go and I had no interest in going to Guatemala City. Antigua has everything!

Holy Week, the alfombras and the processions, is unforgettable. A must see. Antigua is carefully curated to maintain the traditional facades. Even the Burger King and Starbucks are in old buildings. No big trucks or buses in the town. Wide variety of good restaurants. Many small hotels and hostels. People open up their homes to sell food or give accommodations. Huge crowds in places, mostly Central Americans. Town is quiet. Tons of tourist junk to buy. The town is on a grid system so it is impossible to get lost.

Antigua is a very beautiful colonial city.
Antigua is a very beautiful colonial city. There are many old cathedrals in various conditions. There are two that are easily accessible and you certainly want to take a look inside. The La Mercede is at one end of the main tourist area and the other is at parque central, in the middle of the town. You can also spend a few hours making your own chocolates and learning about the history of chocolate. It jade is of interest, there are tours of jade factories near the square. At he edge of town, about 15 min on foot, sits an organic vegetable farm that has delicious fresh foods. If the textiles are of interest, don't miss a visit to Nim Pot. Here you will find an amazing collection of textiles for sale from all over Guatemala along with wooden and ceramic items, and of course coffee and chocolate. If you want a taste of local shopping, take a short walk to the local market where you can fin everything you would need for daily life and souvenirs all in one place.

We happened to be there during the Lenten celebrations that take place every Sunday 4 weeks before Easter so we were happy to see the procession. The city was very crowded but it was so interesting to observe all that was going on. The city is nice just to spend time in. It is easy to walk around the central areas and there are many options for eating. As well there are many options for day trips from here.

Exquisitely clean.
Exquisitely clean. A great base location for visiting Guatemala. We made side trips to Lake Atitlan, vulcan Pacaya, and Tikal. Some basic electrical maintenance is needed for the lighting and the hot tub.

The hotel is exquisite and staff is attentive. Travelling alone and speaking minimal Spanish I frequented the reception frequently with questions. They helped or greeted cheerfully, and never made me feel self conscuos or like a pest guest.
Wait staff for meal service are dressed formally, enhancing the dining experience in the lush and dreamy garden and poolside dining areas.
My room and its amenities was wonderful. And the robes provided robes are gorgeous local patterns. I wish I could have purchased one.
The room and the location is fantastic but I think that it should include the breakfast as it is not a cheap property. Also, in Guatemala on many hotels you can't flush toilet paper and you leave it in a bin, but I had to ask to have the room cleaned as after two days they still hadn't emptied the bin or clean the room. So for the price I expect to have breakfast included and clean the room more often. I booked an ensuite double room.
Also they didn't accept credit cards, but I hope this is been fixed.
Selina is a special place. We had a provate room at the 1st floor, which I can only recommend. Not cheap but beautiful, spacious and very clean.
The whole hotel and the common areas are beautiful, nicely decorated with a lot of services (co-wotking space, common kitchen open 24h, small swimming pool, hammocks in the garden, library, bar and restaurant, etc.) and events.
Location in town is good, close to lots of cafés and restaurants.
Staff is very helpful and friendly
Beautiful, perfectly located hostel in the city center of Antigua. Nice common areas, rooftop terrace with stunning view over the city and the surroundings, on clear days you can even see El Fuego erupt. Best breakfast we had in whole Central America, sweet and savory, freshly prepared. Staff is very helpful with booking tours and transportation. Doublebed was comfortable, room quiet. Water pressure in the shower could have been better, but was totally acceptable.
My transportation driver Edris (I don't know how to spell his name) that Ojala provided was the first person to welcome me to guatemala. I am forever thankful to him.He is so nice and the ride to Antigha was so much fun
The crew were all attentive and nice, also shout out to the ojala café crew too
I love the location it's very close to everything
My private room was clean
Ojala is very beautiful, the nature, the view. I just enjoyed my stay there
Such a beautiful hotel plus museums plus spa! This was the perfect place to stay after the volcano hiking. We stayed in one of the spa access rooms and it was so comfortable and lovely to be able to walk from our balcony down into the spa area! The huge jacuzzi in the spa was amazing. And the pool was lovely to relax by.
I thought this hotel was a magical place to stay. We were lucky enough to have booked 3 nights and my wife and I both thought it was a wonderful experience!
I liked everything about the hotel, the room, the friendly staff, the museum ambience, the space of the grounds, the heated outdoor pool, the food….
The hotel is very cute with an eclectic assortment of art, great textiles, high ceilings, spacious rooms, and great views of volcanoes. The location was great and close to everything you might want. The pool was lovely and views from the pool, even better.
The hotel room was very comfy.
-Bed was huge and the toilet as well.
- Netflix included on plasma TV by connecting your account.
-Near to the centre
-Breakfast was good & cheap
-hot water
-beautiful layout (you can actually disconnect).
The location was perfect for Semana Santa. The staff was incredible and accommodating. The room was cleaned daily and toiletries were replenished daily. The staff were really helpful in getting transportation. I love the terrace!
Very helpful and kind hosts. Arranged transportation from Guatemala City airport with no hassle, as well as transportation from Antigua to San Pedro. Great location, good recommendations on places to eat locally.
Beautiful hotel very close to the city center. I LOVED the staff (major shout out to Luisa and Estef for helping me with literally everything … booking tours, transportation etc.). Fantastic breakfast included!
Great location with a great view. Staff was phenomenal at assisting with transportation, early to-go breakfasts (waking up at 3am to give us our warm breakfasts in paper bags). Very friendly.
