We stayed just one night here and felt like we had a chance in the afternoon of arrival and then a few hours in the morning to see everything major in town. We arrived on a Sunday night and it was SWARMING - my son actually said it reminded him of Disneyland with vendors selling all the same things like light up toys, etc. Monday morning was much more calm and enjoyable. Was able to see the beautiful sites and enjoy the town much more. The volcano was barely coming out as we were leaving so wish we had a better view of that.

pay in Q and not dollars or use your credit card which is not a guarantee. They were canceling my guest reservations and my VISA/MC or DISCOVER was not working except my DEBIT card which was odd but was later explained that they have to wait 8 days to get the money from the credit card and DEBIT card was immediate money. That was not nice.

Lovely historical town that captures the culture, cuisine and spirit of the country. Walkable, or by Uber or tuk tuk. Most streets are bumpy cobblestone, so don’t recommend bikes, although there are bike tours provided in the area. Lots of hotels, B&Bs, and restaurants, museums, historical sites and shops for tourists.

It's a UNESCO site, so you know with certainty it's very special. I found it spellbinding; it's a place that "has it all!" Never once felt unsafe, even walking through town alone in the wee hours of the morning. Easily and enjoyably very walkable, even from one side of the city to the other (but you need comfortable walking shoes given the cobblestone streets laid in the 1850s). Great restaurants and pubs on every block, too numerous to mention except, perhaps, for the Irish pub called "Snug."

Antigua is a beautiful city with so much to do and so much to see! I walked all over the city at all times of the day and night! I never saw any danger or felt any danger! Antigua is very safe, different than Guatemala city! I did not go and I had no interest in going to Guatemala City. Antigua has everything!

Loved this hotel! It was comfortable, clean & quiet, which are really the 3 most important things you want in a room! The owner was so helpful and friendly. He went above and beyond. I definitely would stay here again next time I'm in Antigua and would recommend it to everyone. Also has a really nice outdoor garden to hang out in, filtered water is always available and a fridge if you have any food you want to leave in there. I loved how art decorated it is, it's a beautiful hotel in a great location.

The best about the accommodation is Carlos, the hostel owner. Definitely come here for his awesome support! He’s a great, kind and foremost knowledgeable guy. Carlos showed us the whole town of Antigua on a map with all important spots, cheap restaurants and ATMs. He can also organise trips and shuttles for the cheapest options and gives you price recommendation. The size of our twin room with a single bed was good with lots of storage. Toilets and showers were clean.

The staff is exceptional: Cristofer, Evelyn, Uber, Marvin, William et al. The place is beautiful, classy, and just overall comfy. Breakfast selection was delectable, and staff was so helpful to provide breakfast after breakfast hours - after we returned from our am hiking or walking tours. Mestizo through Cristofer was already servicing my stay way before I arrived, by taking care of my transportation needs, and any and all inquiries I had throughout our stay.

The property was breathtaking, quaint and just absolutely beautiful! The pictures and videos online does not serve purpose for what you walk into. The staff was excellent and very hands on. Again, the rooms are out of sight and the bed and pillows were like the best I’ve ever slept on. The facility was very safe, clean and in a prime location where you can walk to everything! Such a beautiful hotel plus museums plus spa! This was the perfect place to stay after the volcano hiking. We stayed in one of the spa access rooms and it was so comfortable and lovely to be able to walk from our balcony down into the spa area! The huge jacuzzi in the spa was amazing. And the pool was lovely to relax by.

The hotel was probably good 10 or 20 years ago. No AC in the room, no refrigerator. Not much things to do except the pool places to sit outside the room. Check in is 3 pm no matter what. The bed is hard and the shower has no pressure. But the staff are super sweet and helpful.
