The hotel is located in the most central position in Antigua, which is super convenient. They also have a garage for you to park the car for a small cost. The rooms are clean and nice, there isn’t much light but that makes sense given the structure of the hotel that is in a old cinema. All considered this place is a unique experience. The staff is very kind and will help you with any request you have.

We stayed just one night here and felt like we had a chance in the afternoon of arrival and then a few hours in the morning to see everything major in town. We arrived on a Sunday night and it was SWARMING - my son actually said it reminded him of Disneyland with vendors selling all the same things like light up toys, etc. Monday morning was much more calm and enjoyable. Was able to see the beautiful sites and enjoy the town much more. The volcano was barely coming out as we were leaving so wish we had a better view of that.

pay in Q and not dollars or use your credit card which is not a guarantee. They were canceling my guest reservations and my VISA/MC or DISCOVER was not working except my DEBIT card which was odd but was later explained that they have to wait 8 days to get the money from the credit card and DEBIT card was immediate money. That was not nice.

Lovely historical town that captures the culture, cuisine and spirit of the country. Walkable, or by Uber or tuk tuk. Most streets are bumpy cobblestone, so don’t recommend bikes, although there are bike tours provided in the area. Lots of hotels, B&Bs, and restaurants, museums, historical sites and shops for tourists.

It's a UNESCO site, so you know with certainty it's very special. I found it spellbinding; it's a place that "has it all!" Never once felt unsafe, even walking through town alone in the wee hours of the morning. Easily and enjoyably very walkable, even from one side of the city to the other (but you need comfortable walking shoes given the cobblestone streets laid in the 1850s). Great restaurants and pubs on every block, too numerous to mention except, perhaps, for the Irish pub called "Snug."

Antigua is a beautiful city with so much to do and so much to see! I walked all over the city at all times of the day and night! I never saw any danger or felt any danger! Antigua is very safe, different than Guatemala city! I did not go and I had no interest in going to Guatemala City. Antigua has everything!

A great experience in Antigua Guatemala! Both Efraín and Sylvia were excellent hosts! Really kind and helpful! The room was spacious and was equipped with everything we needed. The location was excellent, very close to the city centre and round the corner from the main market. The hosts were extremely helpful and assisted us with an urgent issue that occurred at the very last minute of our stay! The price was also very good, especially if we comare it with the average in Antigua. Muchísimas gracias queridos Efraín y Sylvia!!! Un abrazo!
Loved this hotel! It was comfortable, clean & quiet, which are really the 3 most important things you want in a room! The owner was so helpful and friendly. He went above and beyond. I definitely would stay here again next time I'm in Antigua and would recommend it to everyone. Also has a really nice outdoor garden to hang out in, filtered water is always available and a fridge if you have any food you want to leave in there. I loved how art decorated it is, it's a beautiful hotel in a great location.
There is no other hotel like this one, built on the mediaeval ruins. The atmosphere and and scenery of the hotel is out of this world. The spa is great with two heating pools and a big swimming pool, plus dry and steam sauna. There are even heater on the roof of the sap so you can be really comfortable even at night. I tried the jade massage and it was really good. The meals at the restaurants are great too. The king bed with spa access is much more confrontable than the standard two queen beds.
Beautiful, perfectly located hostel in the city center of Antigua. Nice common areas, rooftop terrace with stunning view over the city and the surroundings, on clear days you can even see El Fuego erupt. Best breakfast we had in whole Central America, sweet and savory, freshly prepared. Staff is very helpful with booking tours and transportation. Doublebed was comfortable, room quiet. Water pressure in the shower could have been better, but was totally acceptable.
By far best breakfast in our trip in Guatemala. Full of details, lovely food presentation, healthy recipes, a good variety of options...and the most important...excellent coffe and tasty food.
Front desk staff are warm and they are ready to provide you support, guidance about the different destinations in the City, and the most important how to save money in your travel.
Thank you for letting us feel at home at Selina Antigua. Good luck.
The beds are extremely comfortable and very private even though I was in a dorm of 12. The patio area was social particularly in the mornings and evenings. The terrace was a great place to relax and the toilets are cleaned regularly. Because I work when I travel these things are very important to me. Also, because im a coffee fanatic, its great that there is a coffee shop here that serves good quality coffee and delicious pastries.
An excellent hostel for me, very quiet, as the name means, a lot of peace and quiet with good areas to work or relax, wonderful view from the terrace, the receptionist is very helpful, they are very professional with tours and transportation, good value for money and very clean, very good option in Antigua
It was my second time stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant food is great and the staff is friendly. The water in pool is warm. I love the museums that is open to the public. Every details are esthetic . I enjoyed all a lot. Look forward to staying next time.
From the moment we arrived until departure, the staff exceeded expectations. They went above and beyond to help us find transportation when we needed it. The breakfast was delicious, and the views were breathtaking. The hotel itself felt like you were in your own little world.
The hotel is pretty much as others have commented. The staff were great and the place was clean and had a nice feel to it. The pool and breakfast are not onsite as others have outlined.
The negative I have is the managements selection of volcano tour operator as below
Great stay in a small charming boutique hotel. Very pretty room, nice breakfast. Architectural pool that was not really usable and somewhat isolated location in a gated complex was not ideal but everything else was lovely
Nice, big, clean room. Little hotel, I think only four or five rooms. Cheap, good breakfast offered in the hotel. Little, nice rooftop terrace.
We had a very nice stay and it was a very good deal for what you pay.
Beautiful hotel very close to the city center. I LOVED the staff (major shout out to Luisa and Estef for helping me with literally everything … booking tours, transportation etc.). Fantastic breakfast included!
Location is the best thing about the hotel, right in the heart of Antigua.
The hotel has great character.
The pool was great.
The room was clean and comfortable
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Very close to most things in Antigua. Very beatiful hotel, ver good service. Our room was small but we where on a budget and they had this cheaper op ion for us. Great spot.
