We were greeted by the host and shown to our accommodations. Our host was even able to secure a last minute reservation in a local restaurant. It is a lovely unit and the views are tremendous. We were pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of the unit. If ever back in Ireland, we would definitely stay there again.

The room was quiet. The food at breakfast was good, but it started later than other places we had stayed (8:30 start time). The location was very nice. The main street in Ballyvourney has a sidewalk with nice countryside to see.
A 15-minute drive from Cork Airport and city center, Oriel House Hotel has a pool, restaurant and bar. The rooms have flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.

Renovated hotel with great facilities and spacious rooms. Location is also very good, right next to a shopping mall and main street. Although a little bit far from Cork, there is a bus going to the city centre 24/7.

Just stayed on the hotel for one night - hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were really pleasant and breakfast was good. Bar Food was finished by 8.15pm which was a minor disappointment as we were late arrivals (arrived before 8.30pm)...but overall no issues with the accommodation.

Excellent gateway to west Cork and a destination in its own right by the Castle remnants of the MacCarthy Muskerry Lords of Gaelic Ireland, and along the Banks of the Sulán River. Perfect for visiting peaceful, stunning Gougane Barra, Máigh Cromtha, land of the Caoineadh Art O Laoghaire has it going on, nice cafe by Castle market gates too, also the nearby Ghaorthaidh , the only alluvial "drowned" forest in Europe , Paddy Hodnett the whiskey coinneuseur worth a shout into if travelling onto Inchydoney and the Clonakilty Distillery

We stayed at the loft, a little beautiful b&b, but a little far out of macroom so we used a great local Taxi, we used was Casey's taxis, reluable and very friendly.

Only went in to Macroom to eat, had dinner in the Castle Hotel and it was great. It was recommended by one of the staff where we were staying, outside Macroom, and it was well signposted once we got into Macroom. The car park in the Castle Hotel was a little tight though.

Very nice location for our few nights, good place to stay with lots of nice day trip to take from here. We had dinner one night in Granvilles which was the best meal of our whole trip to Ireland, highly recommended.
The facilities were outstanding. The kitchenette was supplied with tea, coffee, bread, milk, juice, and water for breakfast. I have never had as many toiletries in a bathroom. There were hotwater bottles in the drawer. The views over the lake were beautiful even if the weather wasnt the best. The location was secluded and the hills on the drive down were steep but it was worth it! The decor was beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here for a secluded countryside get away, only a few minutes from Macroom.
The Apple Lodge was so amazing. And our host literally thought of everything, going to great lengths to make our stay as comfort and accommodating as possible. The property is in the quiet countryside outside of the quaint little town of Macroom. It was a delight to see rabbits on the lawn and birds enjoying the water as we sat on the deck to watch the sunset/sunrise over the lake.

We were pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of the unit. If ever back in Ireland, we would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful setting with horses in your backyard! The Irish breakfast was great. Short drive to Macroom for dinner or to Cork and Cohb for a day of sightseeing. The morning breakfast team was very friendly and professional. The owner was so nice at checkout and explained the history of the house. Nice guy.
Large very comfortable room. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to get us dinner when we arrived as the kitchen was closing. Excellent breakfast and a good dinner menu. Nice bar. The pool and hot tub looked nice even though we did not have time to use them.
Great choice for a base camp and touring West Cork, everything is about 30-40 minutes away. Quiet, peaceful environment, very relaxing. Macroom is 10 minutes away, with all essentials and good eating choices, recommend Lynch's Bakery, Grandville's and Castle Hotel.
The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large and comfortable and the meals were wonderful. We had to stay an extra night here due to Storm Barra and feel really fortunate that we were in this hotel at the time.
Very friendly staff and country location beside the river Lee. Macroom is a couple of miles away with good restaurants, pubs and shops. The surrounding countryside is very scenic with Killarney about 45 minutes away by car.
The location was perfect for us. The rooms/beds were comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. The food was wonderful. And every staff member encountered was professional, warm and welcoming. Top notch hotel!
Everything! Wonderful room, facilities, staff, and breakfast. Stunning views from the room and anything you could possible need is available in the room- toiletries, take away menus, slippers, etc.
Friendly and plenty of space and surroundings. A welcome break from thel hotels I normally book. Everything needed. WiFi. Ensuite private room. Solid breakfast. Parking. Loved the surroundings.
This was a warm and welcoming place to stay for the 3 nights we needed near Macroom. There was a lovely selection for breakfast and it has a guest lounge with tea/coffee available all day.
The location was lovely and peaceful. Short drive to Macroom. Staff were very friendly and the Lodge was perfect, a mirror in the bedroom would helpful 😂
