Varanasi is a pilgrimage city, heritage city with a history of 3000 years. It has a very special appeal and charms to Indians and for foreigners willing to explore India. For me it was a memory revisited after more than 50 years. Varanasi is a place to experience spiritual -the temples, Ganga Aarati, evening cruise - to happy indulgences - famous eateries of so many varieties, shops for souvenirs, Varanasi sarees and everything else, all within a small place. However, the surging and unmanageable crowd coupled with absolutely chaotic and undisciplined traffic that do not allow even a bit of personal space bore one down very soon.
