It is a city of scamsters and touters. I have not seen a single city in the world except Kolkata where almost all cab and taxi services (including ola, uber and bikes etc) ask the customer for more money than what is shown in the app and threaten to cancel the ride otherwise. The worker class and labour class is fully corrupt

Kolkata is indeed the city of joy.
Kolkata is indeed the city of joy. Walking through the street of Kolkata means, walking through history, culture and heritage. One or two days are nothing for Kolkata. To know Kolkata, to see Kolkata you need at least a month to get the best essence of the trip. Old part of the city as well as modern part of the city has so many beautiful things to offer for a tourist. I think Kolkata is the best place to enrich ones knowledge of arts, music, literature and what not?

This was my first time visiting Kolkata.
This was my first time visiting Kolkata. I had heard that it was very congested, old, run down and dirty. I found it to be the same as most of the other big cities in India. Liked the history. However the old Kolkata could do with an uplift. To preserve some of the old buildings they need to be refurbished.
The breakfast was excellent, the staff very accommodating, best omelette in india. Very nice staff, food was delicious with a huge array of amazing Indian and European foods, fresh waffles, juices, honestly I was taken aback at the Fairfield it is on par with the ITC West Bengal when it came to food. Loved the young staff and a manager that was a girl…. Girl power, yes. Travelled alone, felt extremely safe, would return, relaxed atmosphere I was in my ZEN there. Will return
A very nice hotel in a good location.
The hotel management and staff are very kind and helpful. They do a great job at making one fall in love with Kolkata.
Their hospitality is one of the best that we experienced so far in India.
They wrote down a plan for us to cover Kolkata city in two days time.
This is also the only hotel that offered us take away sandwiches for breakfast at an early check-out of 6.30 a.m.
Also, make sure you try their Bengali special dinner options :)
The hotel is located in the middle of Park Street. It is a prime location in kolkata, from where yiu can get metro, bus & cabs easily.
The room, bed and bedsheets, washroom are very clean.
Room is filled with all the amenities. Multiple options are available in the breakfast.
One thing I should say that all staffs and their Manager are very polite and humble. They are always ready to help you.
Thank you very much team "Park suites" for your help. Thank a lot.
We were put into an urgent situation by our overnight train journey Jaipur to Kolkata not being confirmed. We had to arrange a flight and an overnight accommodation . We picked this hotel because of 2 reasons:
It said AIRPORT, and it said pay at the hotel. We have been advised by local friends to always inspect the room before paying. Additionally, we had experienced difficulty with online payments so far in our 9 week stay in India.
“I had an excellent stay at the Grand oberoi Hotel in Kolkata! Not only is the hotel centrally located, making it convenient to explore the city, but the service provided by the management and staff was truly exceptional. Additionally, the breakfast offered at the hotel was delicious and of high quality. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Calcutta for a comfortable stay with excellent amenities.”
The location is okay, although also a bit weird. There are definetly better areas in Kolkata. The prepayment I had to make before arriving suprisingly worked. The bathroom was okay and the shower worked and warm water was available.
The price is generally more than okay/it's a quite cheap hotel. However I can't recommend coming here.
Great hotel! Very modern, comfortable and luxurious. Extremely clean all over. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. Location is in the heart of central Kolkata, close to Park Street and New Market and also only a 10 minute walk to the metro. All the staff I interacted with were so great and helpful.
Super downtown hotel in kolkata. Near to rabindra sadan metro station. Close to park Street. It has clean and comfortable rooms.A good affordable price and helpful and kind staff. It is next to a small pond with ducks and green trees , nice scenic spot right in the business district of Kolkata.
Actually everything was excellent. The hospitality, food and located not far from the airport. They strive to make the guests feel at home and ensure all is needed to make the guest happy..Any assistance required is met with a smile and most helpful especially if new to Kolkata or India.
Room was cigarette smalling. No one come to clean this room and geiser was not working . Room's big carten are toren out.this time very bad stayed at hotel Golden place .now a days no one can listen our problem. .
This is a small quiet hotel in the heart of Kolkata - just a few blocks away from park street (walking distance). The staff was really nice, the rooms are clean and cosy. They also serve breakfast.
The staff is the highlight of this tastefully done property. They are gems.
Also the ambiance is surreal. This is by far the best boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed in - both in India and abroad.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kolkata
Excellent location near airport , lots of shops nearby , a long distance to CBD in congested traffic so it suits airport travellers
very clean spacious room , well trained staff
This hotel has some of the amazing views of the city. It is located 30 mins from the airport and in the new town area of the kolkata. I enjoyed the breakfast here.
They are very cooperative. Staff's behavior are good. This hotel is very close to Kolkata Apollo and AMRI hospital. The owner of this hotel helped a lot .
