Best location in town.
Helpful, friendly and courteous staff.
Set right on the seafront in Portofino, Hotel Piccolo Portofino offers a private rocky beach with a bar. It is a historic villa that now features stylish designer interiors.

The location was great! Our balcony is huge, and over the main road, with an amazing view of the water and Brown Castle! We people/car-watch. So easy to walk to the main Piazza, has a private beach (though pebbly). So convenient for the bus.

The apartment boasts a generously expansive area, complemented by a contemporary and minimalist design. The charming balcony adds a touch of allure, while the inclusion of a piano provides an elegant and beautiful touch to the overall ambiance.

Very beautiful location & view and unique historical site surrounded by nature. Amazing food!
The only small thing the accommodation should change is that the rooms cannot be locked.

Portofino was beautiful and lived up to expectations.
Portofino was beautiful and lived up to expectations. However, it is tiny and the weather was not great which limits what there is to do. Two nights rather than three would have been enough.
Also it really is expensive. Not a place to go if you are on a budget.
My husband and son had brilliant food - particularly DaV Mere - but they love fish and seafood. Not great for vegetarians.

We enjoyed walking and getting around but Portofino is really small so don't spend more than one night there. I was expecting more people to be around but it was really empty after the sunset. People come in boats to know the harbour but they don't stay around after so it's very quiet (at least in April when I went). There aren't that many options for good food but the restaurant "Trattoria Tripoli" was a highlight of our stay in Portofino. Probably the best Frutti di mare spaghetti I have had in my life!

Portofino had been on the bucket list for some time so the expectations were high.... and so they were met ! A very very nice little village on the cost with all typical medditerrainian stuf. 1 day should be enough to cover it as a small place. Can recommend to travel here off season as no crowds and safe to move around. The Restaurants might seem a bit expencive but then they are good !

Portofino might have been a lovely place in the 60s - today it is a poor cartoon of a fisherman's village. Ridiculously overpriced (2 spritz + 0.5l water 33€) but still overcrowded. Seems there are a lot of people, that hope some of the yacht owners wealth will be shared with them if they get close...

Portofino is a hipe and we wanted to go there once, but unless COVID it was too much overcrowded.
It is a very small village around a harbour. Lovely with a lot of high fashion boutiques and restaurants along the harbor.
During July 2020 a lot of shops were closed but most restaurants were open - although only the once with the best rating on google and tripadviser were full, so we were glad to have a reservation.
the light at sunset is beautiful too - but if it does not have to be Portofino - there are other small beautiful fisher villages which are not so famous and expensive.
Great location in a little cul-de-sac just outside the touristy area of Portofino bay. Very nice host who responds promptly whenever you have a problem (we had one with the washing machine breaking). Luxurious bathtub with water jets, as well as a separare bathroom with a shower, for everyone according to their taste. There is also a little terrace for eating outside. Charming restaurant nearby with an authentic Ligurian feel and piano recitals: Concordia.
Albergo Nationale is a good stay in Portofino if you dont want to break the bank account but still be in the mids of all the fun! Its a small and pleasant hotel with normal facilities but you wont need much more if your in Portofino for a weekend break or just passing by. I would repeat my stay. windows are over the main plaza if you manage to get one of these rooms and those are really worth it! Good air con too.
an absolute gem of a property in Portofino with undoubtably the best view for a fraction of the price of local hotels! beautiful room shabby chic style with a balcony affording a panoramic view of Portofino and the Brown Castle. Thomas as your host, is charming and very attentive. yes there are 180 steps to climb which we did with cases cut would do it again in a heart bit.
Together with my husband we stayed here. We were upgraded to the junior suite which had breathtaking view. The hotel is very clean , suite was spacious, beautiful landscaping, wonderful pool, and last but not least very friendly staff! No other accomodation tops up to this property in Portofino.
Definitely the best view on Portofino. This appartment is a pearl, I hope to come back next year!
Our host Oulid was helpful all the time and specially carried our luggage upstairs and downstairs and even to the bus station on our way back. Thank you Oulid!
Very friendly staff who were keen to please, breakfast was lovely with a good choice. The location could not have been better, it is in the main square of Portofino. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and well equipped.
The rooms and the hotel was clean, friendly and very helpful staff, perfect location just a few minute walk to central, perfect view! Overall 10/10 stay , totally recommend to everyone who is planning to visit portofino.
The property is in a great location just steps from the harbor on a quiet street. It had the best shower I’ve had in Italy (great water pressure and plenty of hot water). Check in and check out were very quick and easy.
You can’t beat the view. Location, location. Just up the street from where the bus drops you off in town. Yes, the climb is truly taxing and takes a while. But the view over Portofino is worth it.
Casa Papu offers a great location, right in the center of Portofino. The hosts are quite flexible and always available to attend your needs. I would greatly recommend this place.
excelent location, in front of a beach where the hotel has sunbeds for the guests and a good bar / restaurant. breakfast was amazing and staff was very helpful
Very special refuge tucked away from the bustle of Portofino. A restored monastery with medieval appointments (in a good way) staffed with very kind people
