The getting and returning the keys was super easy. The host was very nice, he even let us park our motorcycle in front of the entrance inside the locked gate. The location's perfect, in the center of the town. The apartment is positioned at the corner of the building on the 2nd floor(?) so there's a great view from all of the windows, all around. The ambient feels like you've travelled back in time to the early 1900s with high ceilings, old fashioned furniture and bathroom, piano... All of the rooms are bright and spacious, with huge dining room and a bit smaller but modern kitchen. The bed was super comfortable.

Great breakfast. Good size room but lacked window darkening shades/curtains. Location fairly remote. No on-sight staff to help with questions - to me, more like an Airbnb almost vs a small hotel. Very clean and nice size rooms though. Country-side is lovely.

It was such a kindness that the proprietor, Dejan, was able to help us out with transportation up to the property (travelers should note that there is limited taxi or transit service in Gorizia). The food and wine were both phenomenal, and the atmosphere lovely.

Gorizia is an undiscovered gem.
Gorizia is an undiscovered gem. It has history, shopping, restaurants and a great location adjacent to the Collio Goriziano wine region, with numerous producers of excellent wines. Mountains, forests, beach resorts and the Adriatic Sea are all within a short drive. Slovenia is right next door.

Few meters away there is a beautiful park next to the famous Isonzo river. Apartment itself is very clean, beautifly decorated and with an amazing morning view of the sunrise. City center is not far away, over there its very easy to find main tourist attractions. Owner is very nice, generous and helpful so you'll have an easiest time communicating with him. Would highly recomend 🍀

He gave us directions to the i centre where we picked up a map and some local knowledge of where to find the best aperitivi. There was a washing machine in the apartment and a lavanderia nearby where we could dry our clothes. We also used the washing line on the balcony. The kitchen was well-equipped, as was the spacious lounge. There is a lot to see and do in Gorizia.

At night it’s a very quiet place and by the daylight it stands close to the city center and many other Gorizia’s attractions. The hosts were really nice, helpful and welcoming with us. Also, the breakfast was very complete and tasty. We truly recommend this place to stay at Gorizia.
