It is very beautiful with a stunning view of Etna. The surroundings are quiet and the pool was the perfect place to relax and snooze, next to having a drink and a snack. The breakfast buffet is lovely and you can order eggs of all sorts. The staff is very helpful and fun to be around.

A very nice hotel just off a main road in Giarre. I was visiting cousins in the area and this hotel was very convenient for them to meet me. A very beautiful restoration of an old farmhouse. Great views of Etna in the distance. The grounds are very park-like and there is plenty of free parking. The dinner restaurant on the hotel property was great. Although there was an additional charge, breakfast was very good and well worth it.

Enjoyed our stay at Zash, room was beautiful and very modern and unique which is why I booked at Zash. The setting is beautiful with orange orchard surrounding the hotel and our room. Pool is very nice also. Make a point to eat at the restaurant, the food was excellent! The free breakfast is delicious too, no surprise as it is coming out of a michelin star kitchen.

Giarre is not a great tourist attraction.
Giarre is not a great tourist attraction. However it is a great center for touring East Sicily. We found it very strange that Sicilians keep to their siesta even in winter. After sunset when it got very dark and a bit cold, we did not feel like going to a restaurant (they open at 6 or 7). So we cooked our dinners. Good for us, bad for them.

Catania Airport.Bad facilities for disabled. Shortage of staff,and wheelchairs.Many disabled elderly passengers had to stand for over an hour. Quiet desolate place with nothing to do. Boring.
Quiet desolate place with nothing to do. Boring. On the other hand, it mightbe idea for anyone looking for a quiet place out of the way to spend a few days doing nothing. Our place had a pool (against separate payment which we found odd as we were never asked to pay elswhere. Pool was open to kids so be aware of this.

You have a splendid view on the vulcano from the terrace on the roof of the B&B. The sea is nearby, the beach is nice (2 km walk). Salvatore is a great host. There was Limoncello and delicious cannoli to welcome us. At the breakfast he serves great pistache croissants. Salvatore is very helpful and also has a good sense of humor !

Also on breakfast he served us what we choose. Really nice bonus was access to the roof terrace with view on the see and Etna volcano. We developed a close relationship with the owners which was a great start to our holiday. Already their hospitality upon arrival made a wonderful impression on us. We came to relax and the peace we found was exactly what we needed. Our holiday here was wonderful.

It took a little bit of driving around to find it (it was raining) but once we drove through the gate you feel like in heaven. Complete oasis. I especially liked the high ceilings and the paintings there. There was enough place for 5 persons in this accommodation. There were 2 bathrooms, a kitchen with the most important tools, a beautiful living room with television and three bed rooms. Two bed rooms were really amazing containing balconies.

The most important thing is that it’s very central and quiet place, the facilities are clean and work perfectly. The bed is comfortable and large. The bathroom modern and the shower works great. Next time we come to Giarre we are going to book the same property.
