Come to Cesano if you want to experience peaceful and serene traditional Roman countryside. We stayed at the excellent Il Casale Di Gardenia. It is very peaceful, beautiful, and family traditional building. Manfredi runs a first class b&b. He gave great suggestions, helped us with translations, excellent chef, and very delightful personality. We suggest a car to get from countryside to town if you are opposed to long walks. The store and shopkeepers are very helpful and kind in Cesano. Very good coffee bars. This is a very low key, not fancy, working class/country town. If you want to experience true Italian living this is a very nice place to start.

Food was excellent and traditional Italian recipes. We really experienced true Italian lifestyle, not commercial, touristy Italy. We highly recommend to any travelers wanting peace and quiet, and a real Italian lifestyle experience. The whole Cesano area is very friendly! So happy we found this beautiful place!GeorgeItaly
