The Savoy is a fantastic hotel very near the beach (and with its own beach club). It's a five-star place with reasonable rates, an attentive staff, gorgeous grounds, and a comfortable room. It's a great place to spend a few days in a beautiful part of Italy, close to the Greek ruins at Paestum which are worth visiting.

The location is perfect for seeing the archeological site. It is also close to the bufala farms. The hotel is very pretty with a lovely pool area and the rooms are quite comfortable with a bedroom and sitting room. There was a small patio in front of the room. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly. What I enjoyed most was the hotel is located on a beautiful beach. The beach area was clean with comfortable chairs, umbrellas and lounges. The sea in front was great for swimming and the view from the beach was spectacular. I would love to return next year.
The hotel is greatly suited to those looking for a quiet stay, and hoping to explore the ancient Greek monuments for which the town of Paestum is known.

We had a Prestige room facing the Med. It was very well appointed and comfortable. Excellent restaurant, with many local dishes. Their summer season was just starting, so we were almost alone. The room was very quiet intrinsically. But.

The archaeological site is very impressive and well worth visiting. The beach area is OK if you like sand, but quite dull. It is not too commercialised. The area inland (particularly the Cilento National Park) is beautiful and well worth a visit. Wish we had had more time to explore.

The park where the Greek ruins are situated is quite isolated, so if you are coming by public transport give yourself plenty of time to get there before dark. There is nothing much around there at night.

Paestum has an AMAZING set of well-preserved ruins, considering they were build some 2,500 years ago! We spent about 3-4 hours there (a little over an hour in the museum, and then a few more hours walking through the ruins. They were amazing to behold. The app downloaded from the museum website (Parco Archeologico di Paestum) was very helpful to learn about the ruins as we walked through them. The kids got rather tired though, so it was good to have a gelato break after leaving the ruins at the nearby cafe.

Some of the finest Greek temples in the world...in Southern Italy! Not to be missed. After time in Venice, we took the train to Bari, rented a card and (in turn) visited one day/night in: Alberobello, Matera, and Paestum. What a wonder trip. It was off-season, which just meant there were no crowds. We had a wonderful time! After Paestum we continued to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and then to Rome.

Paestum is a fascinating historical site.
Paestum is a fascinating historical site. It has been well preserved and is well worth exploring. The archeological park is well maintained and easy to see in about four hours. The adjacent museum is very new, with an interesting collection of artifacts found in the park. The shops and restaurants lining the roads along the park boundary are fairly typical tourist focused businesses. One exception is the “Museum Cafe”, closest to the museum. It has excellent gelato, and even has babas.

The ruins are spread over a very large area and consist of mainly low stone walls but with three large temples still intact. The museum is a wonderful building of marble faced walls & pillars exhibiting many excellent paintings on the recovered stone slabs from the ruins plus jewellry and pottery. Very fine work and gives such a good idea of the lives of the inhabitants and what they admired.
The entrance fee also covers the ruin complex and is a much reduced price for EU citizens.
The modern town is just that and has various usual amenities.
A fantastic week for 16 (!!) of us (4 kids, 2 teens, 10 adults) at super clean, high quality Oleandri Resort in Laura, Paestum. Very nearby is the hotel’s great beach with its excellent cafe bar. Staff are friendly and super-helpful: late one night, when we were stranded, the owner and staff went out of their way to ensure our safe return to the hotel - service way beyond what might be expected. Amazing! Other highlights - lovely pool; wonderful Bar Guy (you know who you are!); lobster tagliatelle at beach cafe. Aaaaah, grazie!
The Hotel is in a historic building acrosss from the temple park. Its on a side street about 1.5 blocks from a public parking area. The street the hotel is on, is a pedistrian street with some amazing restaurants right outside the front door. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and the breakfast was a full service meal. The hotel is beautifully decorated with an amazing restoration. The main Museo and Park front entrance is about a 4-5 block walk from the hotel. Loved staying here and would definately do it again.
Because the holiday season had not really begun, we were the only guests for most of the time and nearby restaurants/bars were closed. It's a great location, close to the beach and it was about a 30 minute walk into Paestum which had nice restaurants/bars. All the staff and particularly Fabio were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was comfortable enough. The gift of a bottle of wine on our departure was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated, and enjoyed!
The personal service was incredible. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice with a lot of good food and drinks. For me personally, I had mentioned I am vegan during booking months before and the hostess had prepared something specially for me each morning. It's a very idyllic-looking location on a very short walking-distance to the restaurants and temples.
The room was nice, with a great bathroom and shower.
We have a wonderful weekend at Hotel Cerere. It is delightful and a great design hotel with many beautiful pieces of art work. It was so pleasant and relaxing. It has a gorgeous grandiose pool integrated into the architecture and landscape. The breakfasts were abundant and very flavorful with lots of variety. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The beach is also very nice with friendly staff to entertain.
Our family loved the location right next to the ruins! The property was very quiet, and was very well landscaped with a nice garden. Our children LOVED the hotel cat - they played with it everyday! The pool was very nice and clean. The breakfast was good, it will be great once Covid restrictions are over. The bathroom in the room was very clean and there was plenty of water pressure in the shower.
Amazing property and very comfortable. It made it nice an easy for all 8 of us to stay together and go to a wedding nearby. Rooms were large and spacious with air con in most rooms. Huge kitchen/diner/open living room. Fabulous veranda and 2 min walk to the beach. Highly recommend and would use again if we are ever back in the area. Host were lovely and very accommodating.
Its nice stand-alone house in the fileds nearby Paestum ruins. Nice garden, lots of parking space, good views on the mountains. Room was very nice, well designed, with good bed, conditioner/heater, good shower etc. Great thanks for nice breakfast, including some home-made jams. WiFi worked well either. Very positive owners, trying their best to help You.
Ran by fantastic people, super friendly and jovial. You feel at home as soon as you arrive. And the location is superb; quiet and slightly remote, a stone's throw from a great beach, and only 2km from the Paestum temple site. Ah, and what a breakfast! I didn't have to eat for the rest of the day ;)
Fabulous. We were super impressed by how green and sustainable this hotel is. They produce all their own electricity and the local area benefit from it during the off season.
Amazing breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful private beach. Just stunning.
I booked a room with a bath but when I got there we were given a room with a shower but the host was quick to explain that I booked a room with a shower and Booking.com was wrong but she kindly moved us to a room with a shower.
The staff was very kind and every morning prepared a delicious breakfast. The room and the bathroom were so clean. Suggestive enviroment, near the Templi.
So appreciated.
Perfect location, perfect owner, very clean. Nearby is a pizzeria with delicious pizza and affordable prices and of course PESTUM ARCHEOLOGICAL PARK - fantastica.
The staff were absolutely amazing, nothing was to much trouble.
They pulled out all the stops for an iron & ironing board.
The breakfasts are good too .
