Beautifully presented hotel in a picture postcard part of Sicily. The staff were exceptionally helpful and offered to book several restaurants for us in nearby towns. The location is great although a car is a must.

The Palazzo is a modern type accommodation housed within a refurbished Palazzo. It is managed by a central agency that looks after multiple properties in Scicli. It was easy to find and there was free parking nearby. Staff came and met us at the property after a short wait. The rooms are large and airy but somewhat sparsely appointed. The bathroom was excellent with a large shower. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to stay longer in the formal dining room after we had checked out. The wifi worked well and we were able to stream live television from abroad. Perhaps the highlight was the breakfast which is served in a lovely little cafe housed in the lower floor. The food was amazing and plentiful and the cafe staff were lovely!

Our time at La Dimora del Decano was wonderful and I highly recommend it. In fact it was one of our favorite parts of our Sicilian adventure. Patricia was so accommodating and once we figured out the Google Translate, it was easy to communicate. She was lovely and we so enjoyed her homemade almond pudding dessert she brought over after our decadent meal in Modica. The home is so lovely and the history fascinating. The home we stayed in was the Palmeto built originally in 1692 but with all of the new modern comforts of home. Loved so much the location and vicinity to beautiful Modica and Scicli! It was the perfect place for us to get away and explore the beautiful Sicilian Countryside. The drive was spectacular with farms everywhere. Just the quintessential Sicilian experience. Don't hesitate to book any of the beautiful homes on this property.

Very prompt response. Great hosts, friendly, helpful and committed to great service. Every thing you may need such as condiments, soap, first aid laundry items etc. We regretted not staying longer. Considering returning and staying for a month. The unassuming building in a narrow street does not prepare you for the beauty inside. From the marble(?) Stairs to the beautifully decorated apartment. Every room has plenty character and make you feel you are in a Sicilian palazzo. A place with personalty that adds to the travel experience. Great value!
