Featuring free WiFi and 2 terraces with views of the city, San Giorgio Modica Hotel offers accommodations in Modica, a 1-minute walk from the Cathedral of San Giorgio. We stayed in a room called the "2001 a Space Odyssey". This is really a quite quirky room. Red lighted bathroom. Back-Lit 6 foot picture of a spaceman, alien, earth, etc., hanging over the bed. A Shower wall that could be pulled along a track. Glass type flooring. Obviously a room that had a gimmick! Breakfasts were attended by a very prompt, courteous waiter. Breakfasts included a nice array of food---eggs were hard boiled.

Modica was the perfect Baroque city to locate in to explore the other cities and the beach. The location to bus station and train station was convenient to do daytime exploring. The city had a good mix of tourist stuff and regular people shops and restaurants. Mostly I cooked in my apartment but I took day trips every day.
Modica is really lively and the old part known as the Centro Storico is a must visit place for some superb restaurants and a lovely stroll or just sitting on a bench in the piazza and watching the world go by!
Modica is nice little town in Valle di Noto with typical baroque architecture. It is located in mountains so count with many stairs. Modica is also famouse because of cocholate - try some and for special experience try cold liquid chocolate in Bar del Duomo next to the Duomo. It is delicious.
Charming town on the hills separated by Corso Umberto I street that was originally, before 1902 the river. Many lovely chocolate shops where you can taste before buying. Good possibilities for enjoying delicious and locally prepared dinner.
Lovely little town built on two sides of a valley with great atmosphere and scenery. Not crowded at all, has a couple of really nice places to eat. Highly recommended for chocolate lovers. Be prepared for many steps.
Modica was amazing! I really loved the city it was very peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately we had the most time to tour the city on Sunday morning and the shops do not open in the morning but at least they do open at around 5.30pm. There are some lovely coffee shops and there are good retail shops as well. Some of the main attractions include Cava Ispica and the Chocolate factory. I loved the scenery there! It is also great due to its mixture of antiquity with modern life.
Modica
La Terrazza Dell'Ittria offers staggering views over the old town of Modica-- something out of a dream. Breakfast also excellent and varied, the manager extremely friendly and inviting, and the room comfortable, functional, and big. A climb to get from the commercial center back to the hotel, but that's part of the enjoyment. The best place to stay when in Modica-- waking up to the astounding views is really magic.
Modica
The property is beautiful, in a quiet setting with a lovely pool area. Staff are attentive and helpful. Great for access to the baroque towns of the south of sicily (if you have a car of course). The rooms are lovely and a stay here would be very comfortable. On our anniversary the staff went above and beyond ensuring we had flowers and prosecco waiting for us in the afternoon!
Modica
Together with my friend we were at Sicily for couple of days, and Villa Gaia was a nice alternative to bustling cities. It is located at the hill at the rural area of Sicily. Definitely a good place to escape from hot cities of Sicily. The surroundings are quiet and perfect to chill. There is no restaurant, or other place to eat around, but the dinner and breakfast were good.
Modica
Lovely room with a balcony looking out onto the Duomo di San Giorgio in Modica. It is centrally located in the upper town with good access to restaurants, cafes and shops. The bus station is also close by, about 5 minutes' walk from the room. The staff were welcoming, the breakfast was excellent and the view from the room was fantastic. Would strongly recommend.
Conveniently located hotel in Modica. easy drive to the Old Town and surrounding area. Comfortable room. The pool area is beautiful. The house has the old traditional charm. It is located on walking distance from all sights, pubs and restaurants of which there are a lot in Modica. In front of the house, you can park for free, but closer to the city you have to pay. And they control this regularly.
The location was good, only 5 minutes by car to the historical centre of Modica and 30/40 minutes to the beaches. The host was splendid, very helpful and kind. The place was very quiet. A good place to stay, even if you have to work.
Modica
Giancarlo was so kind and helpful. Lovely family. Breakfast was the BEST! ENJOYED having that wonderful Modica chocolate on our breakfast plate each morning. Thank you for giving us great memories.

I have eaten the best brioche during my stay in Sicily. The host's daughter understands English. that makes everithing easier when you don't speak Italian. The staff is helpful and friendly.
I never experienced such an attentive, enthusiastic and genuinely friendly staff. A true family hotel at its best. Best of all, there is a first rate restaurant attached.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location! Highly recommend ! We had planned to stay one night, but loved it so much we stayed an extra night.
The location in the very city center. The helpfulness of the owner. The style of the hotel obtained from the refurbishment of a historical building.
Great view over Modica! Nice balcony, many great restaurants nearby and free parking in front of the hotel.
