This charming grand old hotel is lovely and comfortable. It is easy to imagine days gone by here and families coming back generation after generation. Being off season we had the place to ourselves. The staff was outstanding particularly our waiter in the dining room who was gracious and kind.

Great place to get the ferry to Ventotene and islands or if you want to go the beaches between there and Gaeta. Also a good stop off en route to anywhere along the coast between Rome and Naples as you also have the train station. Something about the back streets and where we went for a really authentic tasty meal( very popular with locals) had the spirit of Naples.

In Formia a visit to the Cisternone Romano is a must.
In Formia a visit to the Cisternone Romano is a must. It is also a perfect base for a visit to Ponza or Ventotene. But als Gaeta, Sperlonga and Minturno are just around the corner. If you travel further than you have Terracina, Reggia di Caserta and Monte Cassino.

Very clean and comfortable with everything you need.
Very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Host and staff were most welcoming and kind - nothing was too much trouble to them; very warm and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options and plentiful. The beaches, countryside and restaurants are great and all within easy walking distance, no hills or steps. Transport to hilltop villages and back to Formia and Gaeta found by bus with bus-stop a few moments away. I would highly recommend for couples, friends and families and we had great weather too

Great beaches nearby, Good restaurants in Formia.
Great beaches nearby, Good restaurants in Formia. Sperlonga is not far away with Tiberius' villa and great beaches and rocky promontories for snorkelling. the regional national park just on the southern outskirts of Formia is interesting with well signed paths leading to archaeological sites and from the beach at Porticiollo Romano there is good snorkelling
This is a lovely place to stay. The accommodation has been refurbished to a high standard and is extremely comfortable.
The hosts were so friendly, and made sure we weren't lost by coming to meet us. Formia is a charming little town, with a delightful labyrinth of alleys in the old part. It made an excellent staging post for us, travelling from the south to the north by train, because the railway comes back to the sea here before making its way inland again. The flat is very close to the station.
The location was great. The hotel is right on the beach with a huge patio in front of the hotel. This was a great place to sit and relax with friends and family (we were 2 families/11 people/three generations). There is a small Bar at the patio, which offered alcoholic and soft beverages as well as light fare and gelato. The staff here was wonderful and the food and drinks were very reasonable.
Gisella is a fantastic host. She was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The apartment is right on the beach. The terrace has panoramic views up and down the coast. The apartment is located in a quiet, gated community that is a 5 minute drive from the heart of Formia. If you don't feel like driving, you can walk to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
I spent 3 nights with a colleague (2 superior double room - 107 €/night each - park & breakfast included). Good position: the hotel is close to the beach. The private beach costs about 20€/day (parasol and 2 sun loungers), but next to the private beach you can find a small public beach : unequipped - costs free. Large outdoor unattended park inside the structure.
The breakfast was out-of-the-box and local pastries. The coffee was good. The dining room is lovely with a fine view of the sea, but we were there at the end of the season and I think they could not keep a chef available for all meals. The grounds, parking and access to the beach were outstanding. A classic early 20th century Victorian hotel.
The location was close to everything in Formia. No need for a car once settled in. The property was exceptionally clean and in excellent repair. The property was modern but felt homey. The best part of our stay was the host, Marissa. She was kind and incredibly sweet. A lovely person and one who cares about her guests.
The place was great we could feel that it was brand new. The host was quick to react and gave perfect directions to reach the place on your own.
The location is close to everything you need - restaurants, shops, public beach (10-15min on foot). I highly recommend a relaxing time in Formia to spend it here :)
We were 4 people staying here for 2 nights and we had a great time.
Location is excellent, right next to a restaurant, a seaside bar/café, and the amazing (and public!) beach.
Our host responded very quickly.
Buses going to Gaeta 500m up the road, and a 25 minute walk from Formia-Gaeta train station.
We liked everything. The hotel was really beautiful, peaceful and stylish. It's a perfect place to relax. The room and the pool area were super clean. Our room's own terrace with a sea view was also nice. The hotel's restaurant was definitely worth going to and the staff was really friendly.
Wonderful house. Lot of space. The host is very helpful and kindly. The view from the house is fantastic. Mountains and at least the sea😊 The beach nearby is great also for smaller children. Formia is perfect in October ☀️We was staying 13 family members.
We came to Formia as last minute stopover whilst travelling through Italy and it turned out to be one of the best parts of our trip. Accommodation was at a high standard and they couldn’t do enough for you. So friendly and helpful!
Really nice apartment and owner in the best part of Formia. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was good. The breakfast next door was nice, a cornetto and a cappuccino or espresso. we loved our stay.
The location in the old town of Formia, a lot of facilities nearby. comfortable and quiet apartment. Everything worked properly. Andrea was very helpful when I had problems with check- in.
A fantastic room in a unique part of the town. Easy to get to many places. Lots of great food to try. Antonio went above and beyond to welcome me to Formia. Very accomodating.
Absolutely perfect location - just over the road from the beach. Comfortable room, Good breakfast, very helpful and pleasant staff. Very clean. All in all an excellent hotel
Luigi was a very welcoming host and told me many things I hadn’t known about Formia. Lovely room on the second floor of a 1950/60’s apartment building. Excellent location.
The location was great, directly across the street from a very nice beach. The hotel had parking and the breakfast was good. The staff were very polite and helpful.
