Montego Bay is a very tourist town. there are plenty of hotels to fit whatever budget you are going for and lts of Ocean views. There are fancy restaurants and local authentic jamaican spots as well. The downtown area is local made but if you really want to see Jamaica visit there to see all the authentic vendors and maybe eat at the street vendors and get your hair done or buy cheaper merchandise for everything there. They have a casino and game room in center of the hip street with surrounded shops bars and restaurants. So a very nice place with great views and food as well as parasailing and boat rides or whatever you like to do in the ocean...

It was nice to know upon arrival and gaining entry to the resort you were checked in. I booked 3 nights and was not disappointed. If I could have stayed for 2 more nights, it would have great. Check out the Piano Bar.
Although a Solo Traveller, I felt safe. All staff members whom I came into contact with conceigre, front desk, tour desk, waiting staff and housekeeping were very helpful.
Definately would stay again as you are literally 5 mins from the airport which was of no disturbance.

Great place but be prepared to pay to use the beaches.
Great place but be prepared to pay to use the beaches. If you are going to stay for the whole day then you will get your money's worth, if only for a couple of hours it is not worth it. The beaches all appear to be owned by the resorts so you need a day pass to enter onto them.
Montego Bay is amazing though, you can watch the aeroplanes landing and the landing lights start in the Ocean, great to watch.

If your a new travellers to Mo'Bay, the Deja Resort is in the heart of the hip strip; from here nothing is too far, popular beach is across the road, for those travelling long haul the transfer once you arrive is a 15min short taxi ride. Other resturants if desired are all within walking distance, even a trip in to Mo'Bay is within walking distance; I'm a Brit so walking everywhere is pretty much standard but a short cab ride is available if you so desire.

Margeritaville and Aquasol are closed due to a wave that destroyed them. No go karts. Heard pelican cove was good but since we cooked we didn’t go out at night. We didn’t feel comfortable doing that anyway. All I he tourist shops sell the same stuff. The shops that say groceries have very little. Go to progressive foods and stock up on water, dairy, etc. there was no lettuce so I made greek style salads with peppers and tomatoes. Toasted westerns. Pasta and rice.
We spent most days at doctors cave which is perfect and lunch good too. $50 per day for one umbrella and two chairs. We had lunch on the beach every day. It was great.
Tried harmony beach twice it was good. But I would not wander further than that. We took local red plate taxis for 200 JM or $2 US. The KFC sells the most amount of chicken daily it’s a lineup and drive through around the corner, you won’t get any. Just get the pizza next door and give the leftover to whoever asks. This is across from harmony beach. 🏖️ I like that they search all our bags for glass and knives and hang on to them. Good! We felt safe there too.
Doctors cave was the best. People everywhere were super friendly.
Next time, I’ll go back to Negril. It’s more zen there.
But I’d stay a night or two in Montego Bay. And hang out during the day. Not the night.

Unless your all-inclusive resort has a lot of options to...
Unless your all-inclusive resort has a lot of options to keep you entertained, nice beach access, and good food, you better find a different part of the country for your stay. Mo Bay is a run-down town, not fun walking or strolling the city's pot hole ridden streets. It has an uneasy feeling of " I made a wrong choice" place. You'll be constantly bothered by people trying to sell you weed. offer you a "boy for the night," taxi services, or beg for money. Avoid!
Nice little appartement. The place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's close to area attractions like the Rose Hall Great House. It's a great place to stay if you are like me and prefer to get to know people and the culture and not just other tourists in an all inclusive resort. The property is gated and felt secure. Annmareen was so sweet and helpful. She actually called me when she saw me leaving and noticed I took a wrong turn. Would definitely stay here again.
we didn’t make it past the gate, it looked to be okay but the property manager ( if that was who she was) made me very uncomfortable. when we arrived we waited for about an hour to be let in the gate and downtown Montego Bay is no place for nice family without a man present. Once the person arrived they wanted our id’s and cash for the room and told they had a plumbing leak. Thankfully the people noticed us waiting and stayed with us to redirect us to a secure hotel.
We love the service from the staff!! They really go above & beyond to make us comfortable! We request the same room every time and they honored our request every time. Yes we've had the same room on our last 4 visits! We even reserved the room for our next trip in 2 months! We love the convenience from the airport to the beach across the street to the great buffet (every meal) in the dining room to the pool side grill & open bar! We ❤ Deja All Inclusive Resort!!!
We stayed in the Spa Suite and the facilities were excellent! We could stay there all day. The room was very clean. As locals, we love how the decor, art and storytelling throughout the hotel highlighted authentic Jamaica. It didn’t feel super touristy, rather genuine and artful. We enjoyed breakfast. It’s really a beautiful hotel. Right in the hip strip, which allows you to go walking and exploring the city of Montego Bay. This is our new go to Mobay hotel.
Shalene was an excellent host. She met me in person to organise the gate pass and accompany me to the property.
The property is in a secure gated community in a quite suburban zone of Montego Bay. It is 5-10 minutes drive from the cruise terminal and the beach. There are shopping centres and restaurants around the property.
Property is equipped with all the basic amenities. The beds are clean and comfy.
Thank you Shalene for looking after us.
The hotel is on the beach. The entertainment is excellent. Charmaine the manager is excellent. Shantee Kelsey and a few of the staff very friendly. The snack bar food is excellent. Jerk chicken wings burgers rice and peas chips and so on was excellent. Some staff friendly some not so. The main restaurant staffs friendly. The bar staff friendly. Great security system which made you feel so safe. Enterament for all ages.
I honestly wasn't expecting it to be this good. First time doing an all inclusive package in a 3* resort and wasn't sure what to expect.
I've been in far more degraded 5* resorts where maintenance was clearly lacking. But in Seaview everything was well maintained.
The room is huge, very clean and comfortable. Incredible lighting.
The beach is awesome and just across the street.
Staff very helpful and professional.
Everything was exceptional. Great view and safe neighborhood with a host with phenomenal hospitality! Would recommend to anyone looking to come to Jamaica for a comfortable & inexpensive stay! You will feel right at home. Montego Bay is not the only location. There’s other locations for different accommodations.
I didnt like anything about the hotel except for location The food wasnt up to standard and room was poor. Bathroom door couldnt lock, broke in the inches, sink cracky. Come on .Is this you call all inclusive. Check out what is entailed in all inclusive. Cant recommend anyone to this hotel
The S Hotel is EVERYTHING! From the great customer service every hour every day to the food to the ambiance, I was beyond amazed! It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny. This was my first time in Jamaica and I will always stay here at my next visit!
It is a wonderful house with all the amenities of home. If you have personal transportation this place is prefect not too far not too close to down town Montego bay. Whitter Plaza nearby. It is located up hill and the view to the open waters are gorgeous.
Absolutely loved the food and drinks. Staff were so lovely and welcoming. Really looked after us. Great place to stay the night near the aiport for flying in or out of JA. Right in the heart of Montego Bay. Easy walk to all the tourist hotspots.
The complex is close to airport, about 5 minutes. Taxi from Booking .com was £14.00 each way. Possibly cheaper from other companies.
Private beach was very nice
Free water sports equipment
Games room
Sea water was wonderful and warm.
I like ntn bout this place this isnt an all inclusive no buffet worst hotel ever they post all these nice tings n ntn is here cwme to breakfast frm 7.30 after 8 now had to order wat i want only ting dem got good is ackee n saltfish
Everything! Clean, Modern, Quiet, owner thought of every convenience with this unit.
Beautiful pool and walk to waters edge.
Right next to Montego Bay Yacht club for a 5 star dinner.
I love the all inclusive part. The staff were all nice and helpful. He property was well maintained. There were activities for everyone from day to night. It’s a beautiful property.
