The rooms are dirty and the shower didn't work most of the time, no hot water at all. The sink in the room was broken which caused a really bad smell. Worst of all this place had bed bugs, after two nights my body was covered with itchy red bumps.
The location and staff.
The hotel is not very clean. The biggest problem is the loud speaker which kept broadcasting praying songs at about 2.30 until at least 4. The sound was very loud. We didn't sleep well that night.
not clean sheets very poor, didnt seem clean no heating ..Dec? no hot water toilet wouldnt flush grotty area
Nice staff at reception. Free WiFi in the downstairs lounge (signal didnt reach my room a couple of floors up) Good location near the Medina.
Arrived early in morning but had reserved room for night before so I could go straight to bed. They put me in a dirty room with 1 clean sheet, no pillowcases. Took 2 days to get a towel, they kept saying they didn't ave enough. Tried ringing them 20 times to warn of my arrival but could never get through. Sent 3 emails but they said they were too busy to check so never responded. No apologies offered for any of this disastrous service, rathe made me pay full price for dirty room, no linen. Had to wait long time for toilet/showers as only 2 for many rooms.
The moment you walk in, you will notice The young friendly, polite and very helpful staff. Right of the bat, they are genuinely cheerful, chatty and provide useful information. They are also good listeners and will bend back ward to please. The location is very convenient to the the old medina wich is the major attraction ( about (5 mins leisurly walk), The beach is another 2 mins. The train station is within walking distance ( 20 mins), you will get a confortable bed with sheets and a light blanket, with a heavier blanket in the closet. There is a sink in the room for brushing etc.
Please remember that your experience may be diffrent, But During my stay only one of 4 showers worked, yet it was a deal breaker. There was a little be of street chatters here and there around 1am. And the biggest annoyance for me was the street night guard who hangs around the reception in the morning, you do not have to tip the guy unless you have parked a vehicle overnight. But he has the persistence of a green head fly. Other than this the stay was very safe, pleasant and rewarding. And I would stay at the place again in the future, because the staff makes up for all the shortcomings.
