The location was really nice - walking distance to a beach on one side and a promenade on the other side. We really liked the stay, the communication with the host was very good. Excellent location, peaceful quiet little town with restaurants within 10 minute walk. Very clean, spacious and well equipped home. Excellent communication by Dario. He was always at hand to help out with directions, questions and suggestions. Very prompt and friendly. We were a multi generational group with kids and never felt crowded or cluttered, the rooms are large and spacious. I would highly recommend this apartment- the views are stunning and communication from Dario is super quick and friendly. Thank you for a very enjoyable week.

TJ Boutique, hotel in Marsaskala

TJ Boutique enjoys a location in Marsaskala, 4 miles from Hal Saflieni Hypogeum and 7.1 miles from Valletta Waterfront.

Very clean and close to the boardwalk an easy walk down one hill and you are next to the ocean which is really nice. The bed was comfortable if a little bit noisy when you move. The balcony was clean, the street bellow can get a little loud but once the balcony door is closed the noise is reduce and it’s easy to sleep. Bathroom was small but it has everything you could need and was cleaned. For 2 people the room was more than enough for the duration of our stay. Very close to the airport, even with traffic on the morning it took about 20 minutes to get there. Owner and staff was very friendly and gave good advice on where to go. Would recommend going to Tiny Mint for good fish and local pasta (very good price too).

Nice place, very good to eat.

Nice place, very good to eat. But Malta in general is nearly full with buildings. So a lot of people, a lot of traffic. Maltese people in general are quite secluded, even though everybody speaks English quite well. If you strike up a conversation with somebody in the street, you can be sure it's a foreign traveler too.

I also spent time in Valletta, Sliema and Gozo.

I also spent time in Valletta, Sliema and Gozo. I'm so glad I ended the trip in Marsaskala. It's a lot quieter and more comfortable the other places I stayed. It was the perfect way to wind down and enjoy the harbor, the people and the ambiance of Malta before leaving. And it's also closer to the airport!

We had a week in St Pauls Bay so our 2nd week at Marsaskala was most welcome. A quiet coastal village/small town and off of the main tourist route. Having said that, Valletta is only 20 minutes away and easily reached by bus for 2euros or a Bolt Taxi for about 12 euros. Bolt is superb service and cheaper than white taxis & Uber. We used them quite a bit in our 2 weeks when some buses were full. Marsaxlokk 10 minutes away is well worth a visit, go on Sunday if you want heaving crowds around the market or any other day if you want to enjoy the fishing village with sme 70 fishing boats in the bay, a few market stalls and a very relaxed feel. If you do visit on Sunday, avoid the stall selling 'Maltese' small biscuits & cakes right opposite the village square/Costa Coffee. There are lots of online warnings about him, items are unpriced but when you come to pay you will be ripped off eg. 5 euro for a 2" almond cake. He won't give you a refund if you complain. In Marsaskala, 'Cool Waters' bar has excellent food and very reasonably priced. Orient Market 3 is a big well stocked supermarket with good prices.

We liked St Thomas Bay - wonderful for swimming (there is a small sandy beach and several rocky spots) and for starting your walks (we walked to the village of Marsaxlokk, through very beautiful labdscapes). We found some nice restaurants with very tasty food. The town itself did not look particularly interesting to us, but we only covered a small neighbourhood, so wouldn't know about the rest.

Marsaskala is a busy harbour area for locals.

Marsaskala is a busy harbour area for locals. Some boats but not a lot going in and out. It is not close to a sandy beach. There are a few small supermarkets and several restaurants with different price ranges to choose from. The problem is if you wish to travel by car then it is in part of the urban Valetta area and there are very busy roads to navigate to get in and out.

We stayed in the suite with the sea view and the room was absolutely beautiful, lots of natural light with the three windows, stunning view and overall it felt special in the beginning. The Smart TV was great, the location is lovely and close to the center of marsaskala. The lady who cleaned our room before we arrived was lovely and very smiley, we arrived a little before check-in and she let us into the room regardless, she was the only person who gave us good customer service there.

While researching Malta, I liked Marsaskala - it is not as overbuilt as more touristy parts of the island. Village Corner is close enough to the bay and promenade, while offering rural peacefulness. Green space is on premium in Malta - there is a nice view from the living room. There are three bedrooms, each with a wardrobe and: - a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, - a queen-size bed, - a single bed. A well equipped kitchen. Kind and easy to communicate with host.

We have stayed at the Cerviola many times as it is convenient for an early flight because of the proximity of the airport. I believe the hotel has changed management and it was unsatisfactory on our last stay, we tried again as in the past this was a good, fair-priced hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel has declined in standards and the room we were allocated was very damp with bed sheets that were old and threadbare and a terrible smell from the ventilation shaft

**Review for Portside Lodge** I recently stayed at the Portside Lodge and had a generally pleasant experience. The location of the hotel is perfect, offering easy access to key attractions and amenities in the area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the standout features of the Portside Lodge is its affordability. Given the reasonable price, the accommodations provided good value for money.

Very nice stay in the Marsaskala - we were given a clean appartment with a basic set of kitchen utensils, washing machine in the bathroom. There is a heated pool with a large 'lounge' area on the top floor with very nice view of the sorroundings. The room had access to ventilation shaft which enabled to quickly exchange the air in the room. Car parking in the garage was offered for 5 EUR a day, which eliminated the daily search for parking spaces nearby.

The apartment is great, situated in a quiet area that can get noisy at times. The apartment was as advertised, we found free parking in the street, although on the adjacent streets in some days. We had a car, so any point on the island was relatively easy to reach. The waterfront in Marsaskala is nearby (less than 10 minutes walk). The check in was very easy, with the help of the host, even though we arrived after 1 AM - there's a lockbox at the door.

Charming and relaxed town - so glad we came to stay! TJ Boutique was a perfect, clean, comfortable way to end our visit in Malta and was less than 20 mins from the airport. We were great location to walk to salt flats and St Thomas bays, we swam in the pool at the near by hotel, we walk all along the waterfront and ate great food. Great communication with friendly managers. In room facilities were clean and generous.

The property was neat and clean. We found it comfortable and were able to relax. We had travelled with friends and everyone enjoyed the stay. The kids loved the pool and the beachside view. Rosanne was helpful as she helped us with the taxi booking to and from hotel and also helped us leave our luggage whilst we went out for a few hours on the last day which was really helpful.

I loved the locating and the accessibility to most places and the fact that I have so much options of things to do. The locals were very welcoming and nice, it was such a peaceful place to experience Malta from. Thank you to the management team for making my stay so much fun and stress free. I am definitely coming back to Malta and hopefully it’ll be available for booking.

We were met at the airport by Justin who then delivered us to our hotel. Along the way he shared what Malta was known for, some back ground history and some of the best places to visit while we were there. We were met at the door by Maria who was absolutely lovely as well and very responsive when we had questions.

Convenience store nearby, close to the center. Very spacious, very clean, large balcony. Host very friendly and super easy to communicate with. Everything you might need. Quiet street and you might even be lucky to find a parking on that street or some parallel ones, which is super rare in Malta.
