Stayed here for 8 days comfortably. Fundamentally, the room was clean, the staff was professional, and they had a good selection of food. It's also close to the beach and you can easily catch the bus from the nearby stops to go anywhere. Oh and a bonus - THEY HAVE A LIFT. This last point is a bit one because there's a bunch in Hulhumale without it, which forces you to carry your luggage.

The staff especially gaya was accommodating. They’re very professional and friendly. The room was extremely beautiful. The best room we stayed so far in Hulhumale. Spacious, clean and the view is stunning! 🤩 And the breakfast food was delicious! A Must to try the local food.

The bed was the best - it was so soft and comfortable! The room was also super clean, despite a very short notice to occupy it. Our flight was actually cancelled on that day and we were in a hurry to find a place to stay. After 10 min of booking online, we came to the property and voila! We had a smooth check-in at past midnight (thanks to the receptionist who was quick and very accommodating at that time).

    I had previously stayed in Male city on two previuos visits...

    I had previously stayed in Male city on two previuos visits and found it a pleasant place to stay. In the intervening 12 years since my last visit the entire Hulumale area has been developed and has become something of a dormitory suburb to Male city with the completion of the China Friendship Bridge. Male is now a somehwat traffic choaked hot and relatively dirty city with Hulhumale a relatively quiet place to stay with plenty of good restaurants and hotels to suit almost any budget. In addition there are plenty of options to keep you occupied from shark and manta dives, island tours and windsurfing, paddle boarding and even kite surfing advertised by tour groups located in the area.

    Hulhumale is great for crashing out after a long flight or for staying the night before an early flight. It is also a good base for visiting Male by ferry. The long straight beach is made up of broken coral and soft white sand. The off shore reef protects the beach and make swimming safe for children. There are also areas of shade from the palm trees for those who don't want to stay out in the sun. There are numerous cafes and restaurants of all kinds.

    I prefer Hulhulmale to Malé when I have a stopover.

    I prefer Hulhulmale to Malé when I have a stopover. It has a beach and isn't that busy and loud. The travelling time from the airport is only 15 minutes. Hulhulmale offers everything I need for my short stays.

    Probably the worst condition of a hotel I have ever seen at...

    Probably the worst condition of a hotel I have ever seen at this expensive overprice. The staff was nice and helpful, but was glad it was just for One night. The whole hotel was in a miserable condition and completely No sense of internal decoration. No elevator. Unbelievable smell of urine. The beds were Soft and with a hole in the middel, moldy wet Walls, the White curtains too long and Brown. The airfreshner too strong and overwhelming. The only consolation was a Great Bombay Indian Restaurant 5-7 mins walk away. Always tale local taxi and not the taxi the hotel trys to make you take at 5 times the price

    Would recommend this side over Male, what some locals said to us. Has a lot of small hotels and more beach area. Male is much more crowded and more concrete, less beaches. A few decent Indian restaurants. But other restaurants were hit or miss-lots of canned and dried foods. So definitely had a hard time with my stomach and some of the meals. But locals were all very nice. Stayed here 2 nights prior to going to a resort but 1 night would’ve been good enough.

    Hulhumale is the face of the Maldives that you don't see in the holiday brochures. It is very busy, especially the roads which buzz with motorcycles and scooters. The physical 'state' of Hulhumale is unkempt and dirty.

    Amber Beach hotel is in the city and very close to airport. And same time the beach is available when you open hotel front door. It is for people who like to see the city life and same time to have opportunity to enjoy the sea coast, water and sun. About the beach should keep in mind that it is public beach and you should obey the rules. If visitors want, they can arrange one day tours or do some watersports next to hotel. Relaxing walk and sitting and observing the ocean in the evening darkness were special moments.

    LOCATION: The location is about a 2 min walk to the beach. It is in the middle of a lot of things. Shops, restaurants, banks, etc. It is about a 9 min walk to the Bank of Maldives. From the hotel, we walked to any location that we needed to go to including Centro Mall and NY Steak Shack. The location is ideal. BREAKFAST: The employees at the restaurant were friendly. The breakfast was a typical dish: eggs, hot dog, fruits, etc. You put in your order and it is ready within 15 min or less (maybe even 5mins).

    A magnificent hotel, indeed. A pleasant stay, rooms are clean, the view is remarkable, variety of options for the breakfast, and the location is prime where all restaurants and cafes are just right next to you. I would like to thank Nash, Shaaly, and Bhagyanath for their support, help, for being professional and friendly, and for their effort in doing everything to ensure that I have a pleasant stay. When I go back to Male/Hulhumale, this would be my place to be. Thank you!

    The beach was not for the tourists for sure. If you want to enjoy the beach, it is not the right place. The whole place was very disappointing. We preordered the breakfast as well, but the whole hotel or rather a hostel had one person in charge , he was the cleaner, the cook and everything. We asked for salt and pepper , he was gone for a while. All the basic stuff you think are basic , seemed to be extraordinary for this place.

    I stayed at this hotel for a longer time, which worked out great as male is easily reachable from here. The service was outstanding, got picked up from the airport, treated with a smile, staff was always attentive. Besides that, the room was clean, large and comfortable. I had a water boiler, fridge, coffee machine and staff made sure I got plenty of drinking water every day. Wifi and TV were another big plus, working great.

    When we’ve arrived at New Year Eve, they told that they didn’t have room for us ( I’ve booked month before and corresponded with them before arriving ). They took us into the other, very small accommodation for 85 usd , so we were very disappointed, because it was night and rainy for changing hotel. Only because the manager or owner was very kind and helpful I don’t rate they very low.

    Excellent service by the staff. From the time we were picked-up from the airport to the time we were handed over to the staff of the resort, the friendly staff looked into all our needs. The location of the hotel was very close to the beach, Central Park as well as restaurants. We will recommend Samann Host to any holiday maker who wants to transit in Hulhumale..

    Staff were super friendly and the hotel has a quirky feel to it. I was at the top with an outside area, which was lovely. The location of Hulhumale is perfect with lots of cafes, restaurants and a park in the walking vicinity of the hotel - much better than Male itself. There is a beach but you need reef boots to go into the water.

    Aman and his staff were very accommodating. They took care of us by organizing transportation, gave us some recommendations on places to visit, and made sure we were comfortable. This hotel is very clean and smells very fresh like lemon grass. Breakfast was all you can eat and very tasty. Thank you for everything.

    I spend two days in Hulhumale and it was first amazing experience of Maledives. I went to the Fishmarket, i bought delicious seeet fruits and could swim in the ocean. the Hotel is right by the beach.
