The place is great value for money. Perfect location, clean spacious room (mine had a large balcony from which I could see the Tepozteco and mountain range), great staff and tons of freebies (drinks and bfast).
BUT!
there is a dog next door that BARKS all night!!! I tried headphones, ear plugs….nothing would work! and it’s not a few barks here abs there, it’s all night!
This hotel MUST do something about the neighbors dog or replace all the windows with triple pane. there’s tons of windows btw which is great during the day when the dog presumably sleeps.

Tepoztlan is one of Mexico's Pueblos Magicos and as the name implies, it is MAGICAL. it's definitely the most picturesque and beautiful place I've been. The Zócalo (public square) has a market teeming with life and fun artisan goods. The streets are lined with old buildings and traditional handcrafts. The plants flower and the views from wherever you are are breathtaking. It's a quieter town, so don't expect a ton of nightlife, especially on weekdays, but if you're feeling overwhelmed by CDMX, a trip to Tepoztlan is exactly what you need to recharge your batteries. Be sure to stop at Tepoznieves for some ice cream, and grab a Sandia (watermelon) agua fresca from the Zócalo.
If you're a gringo like me, know that very few people will speak English. Learn some Spanish, or download Spanish on Google translate so you can communicate offline. Additionally, the streets are STEEP. my buddy's cheap Chingan rental car literally could not make it up the hills, and we likely killed the clutch on a single hill. Taxis seem to be bulletproof tho, no issues on hills.

Beautiful small town, make sure you wear confortable shoes, no heels, its hard to walk on the streets because they are made out of rocks.
I recomend to start your walk around early because there will be no vendors and you will be able to take the best pictures.
We started early around 7am, there was no vendors, we took some beautiful pictures.

The hotel is stunning, the view is beautiful, the food is amazing. The staff is rude and none responsive. The sheets were dirty. We could hear the people in the room upstairs all night. It is not a quiet place at all. It is impossible to sleep there. Too much noise.

The staff including the owner, Yonatan, went above and beyond. Minerva took care of our room and our breakfast. We were given other options for breakfast at a very minimal price. Minerva went to the extent of taking our clothes to the cleaners. Amazing attention to all our needs!!!
This was truly a magical place. Full of comfortable spots to relax on the grounds, lovely gardens, a beautiful room with a view of the pool, the town of Tepoztlan, and mountains all around. At night, the twinkling lights of Mexico City can be seen. The bed was so comfortable, a great jacuzzi tub amd shower. The breakfast was very good with a choice of included items. We ate dinner and lunch here as well on a couple of the days
The staff here truly understand service and are always so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return!
I loved our room! I am pretty sure we got upgraded because I booked a King Room, and we got a Master. The decor was very tasteful, the refreshments in the fridge complimentary (water, beer, non-alcoholic). WE LOVED the sauna. There were robes provided in the gorgeous bathroom that could have been a hotel room itself. All the toiletries you needed, provided. The staff super nice and accommodating. Also received an amazing message in the master suite. The spaciousness of the room allowed that and made it so much more comfortable.
The place is very cozy, and the staff quite kind, we were about to stay only one night with a tight schedule we wanted to get around Tepoztlán as much as possible so we did not get the chance to enjoy the pool and the facilities and the activities they offer at its full… one thing that we did not like is that the restaurant/bar closes pretty early (8 pm) and opens up late for our taste (9 am) we did not get the chance of having breakfast at the place either, it was too late for us… nobody at reception before 9 am…
Hotel Teocalli is a gem in the heart of Tepozlan.
Beautiful setting with a small garden and a pool for an afternoon chill. The rooms are very nice and clean with beautiful view on the mountain.
The hotel staff are the nicest we have ever met, and the hotel manager don Marco was always present to make sure we have everything we need. This place was so magical.
They also have massage, yoga and Temazcal service which I highly recommend.
Location is superb, breakfast were excellent and the Sunday brunch out of this world. The name, "buena vibra" it is really the most appropriate name for this hotel. You could feel the buena vibra in every step. No TV's in room is a plus. Feel very special when you relax in every corner of the garden. Having the mountains in the green backyard made our stay memorable. People were so kind.
The location of this hotel is truly amazing. If you book a Deluxe Room with Balcony you have gorgeous views of the mountains, are less than 100 meters from the main part of town, yet are shielded from any noise from the trees and other buildings. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The family that runs the hotel was incredibly friendly and accommodating to any and all requests.
Beautiful hotel with art and sculptures. Staff very helpful. When we complained about the noise in room 8, we were moved to another room the very next morning. Staff were great. The location is great too. Can walk into the main town easily. Food delicious. And the temaczal is wonderful. Pool lovely, we had it to ourselves as we were off-season.
There is a wonderful view of the mountain from the pool. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Check-in and -out were easy. The bedroom was big, comfortable, and had a fan and mosquito net that made it very comfortable in the Morelos heat. And very centrally located.
The refreshing pool at this property is an excellent ending to a long day of exploring Tepoztlan. There is a beautiful view from the rooftop bar, and the location is just right – off the main street's hustle and bustle in a quiet alleyway.
The view from our room was amazing, you could see the whole mountain. The room was comfortable and clean. The host was very nice and helpful. The posada was located one block away from downtown Tepoztlán, which was very convenient.
Bere is the greatest hostal host I've ever met! She was great during my stay and I'll be going back to her hostal for sure, it kind of felt like my Tepoztlán home. And what a view she has from the terrace!!
The property is very clean and colourful. The hosts are the most amazing family that were happy to accomodate us and take care of the guests and their needs. The best prize you can find in Tepoztlán.
The host was very helpful and kind. The location is very good, just a couple of blocks from tepoztlan's main strip, however quiet, has a nice view from the rooftop.
The hotel is in a super location, close to town and a beautiful setting. Lovely rooms and nice rooftop. Really sweet and kind staff. The breakfast was delicious.
The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. It’s a lovely hotel with a very comfortable bed, great shower and good linens. We plan to return!
