The Stall, and especially, the manager, where there every minute to I insure our needs.
The breakfast were so wonderful and delightful. Everything was done 1st Class.
Also, we were "right on" the ocean beach, generally with No One else is site.
My daughter also received a wonder , on-site 1.5 h hour massage that was also wonderful.
The new airport in Tulum is also wonderful and just a short 1/2 hour away.
We will definitely return i the near future as the airport is only 1.5 hours from Atlanta.
Our recommendation is to give the manage JP a raise!

At the centre of the Mayan Riveria is Playa del Carmen, a playground for hip Europeans and toned-and-tanned Americans. This resort town showcases the renowned white-sand beaches of the Caribbean Coast along the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.
Playa del Carmen's powdery white sands are nestled between Cancun to its north, Tulum in the south and the island of Cozumel, 20 km east with its fantastic diving in the nearby Great Maya Reef. Awake from an afternoon nap to take a dip, go snorkelling or deep-sea fishing in the beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Playa is an easy choice as a holiday destination with its range of hotels, many first-class restaurants and beachside nightclubs. Quinta Avienda, also known as 5th Avenue, is the main tourist hub and shopping district. For a more authentic Mexico experience, venture outside of the centre to a local cenote (sinkhole) or Mayan ruins in Tulum.
Cruise ships dock in nearby Cozumel and traffic people to the mainland arriving at the Playa del Carmen Maritime Terminal. If the glimmering Caribbean waters are full, then Booking.com has a huge number of hotels with an outdoor swimming pool by the beach.
I have been coming here since 1976. I own a place in a nearby town. I come to ship and for some options not available in a smaller town. I hate to see the beach disappearing as it used to be quite large. Also not found of the party/drug crowd that comes here.

Very humid in the northern hemisphere summer.
Very humid in the northern hemisphere summer. Best to come in the "winter," but, of course, it's more crowded then. Lots of veg/vegan restaurants: just Google. Don't bother buying in the organic section at Chedruai; the food there is not fresh. There are local organic markets in the side streets when you walk a ways from the tourist areas. Try nopales at one of the little joints away from the tourist zone.

We booked 4 days, wanted to be done with it by the end of our second day. Tried to get a refund but couldn't. Staff was not very helpful with that and couldn't really reach Booking. Stayed for the whole 4 nights! Didn't want to do any of the activities at the resort, just poor quality. Luckily we had rented a car. Had breakfast at the resort, packed some food, and then stayed out for the whole day. Went to Chitchen Itza for one day and Las Coloradas the other day. Booked another all-inclusive at the Moon Palace, completely different experience! The sales pitch at Moon Palace basically said Sandos stands out just because it is well priced... not when we booked it. Think twice, do research, before booking.

Beautiful little town with a great beach.
Beautiful little town with a great beach. Plenty of dining options on every street. Very well located for the major tourist attractions in the region, from Cancún to Tulum, Cozumel and out to Chichén Itzá and beyond. The amazing "X" adventure parks (Xcaret, Xplor, Xenses, Xavage, etc.) are all readily accessible from Playa del Carmen.
Make sure you visit a cenote or ten! Well worth a day or more of your holiday. And try a scuba dive in one, if you're licensed!
I strongly recommend renting a car to get the most out of a stay in the region. Try to avoid the big-name American car rental agencies; they are nothing like the outfits you may know in Europe or North America.

The beach was well maintained.
The beach was well maintained. However, there is a lot of constructions as they build more residential buildings near the lake and 5th Ave. Be aware that the roads are not well maintained as construction equipment beats it up.

Let’s start with the good: restaurant staff was wonderful, food at the buffets had variety, now our room bathroom faucets practically came out of granite counter into your hand & water sprayed everywhere, mini fridge was stocked with soda but had to beg for water bottles!! Our reservation was for 3 adults every time we asked for towels & washcloths they only gave us 2 extremely frustrating & finally I got sick @3am our lat night most likely from the reused cups everywhere some you could see had been chewed on!! Disgusting

Explore guest reviews of hotels in Playa del Carmen
This hotel has an excellent location, one street far from the Fifth avenue which is the main street in town, 3 streets far from the ADO stop (Playa del Carmen Alterna). Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops close by however, the rooms insulation is so good that we didn't get disturbed by the hectic weekend night life. There is a 7 Eleven and a fantastic place for breakfast at the corner.
The room was very big and comfortable. Excellent and quiet aircon. Good WiFi.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
location was perfect ( not too close to the clubs district and right near calle 50, on the beach- lovely little beach club and decently priced bar), 5 min from ado bus station and ferry to cozumel- perfect location in playa del carmen; hotel was super accommodating to us arriving late, there is a 24/7 security guide, massive balcony to sit and chill - all great; even though there is a club nearby from the room you couldn’t hear it ( with the balcony door closed); air conditioning in good condition
The location of the place is great, near all the main attractions of Playa del Carmen. The hotel itself is very charming, exactly how you see on the pictures, but rooms are a bit outdated.
Omar on reception was extremely helpful, he gave us local tips and was overall very friendly. We liked our stay at this hotel.
We love this place, we returned after a few days when we came back to Playa del Carmen. Last time my only complaint were the curtains, but this time (coincidence or not, I don't know) we got black out curtains. The room was dark and the sleep was amazing. Really recommend this hotel.
