Offering two 24-hour pools, one nestled in a cave with salty, hot water, and a second one outdoor in the hammocks area, Hotel Zentik Project is located in Valladolid in the Yucatán Region, 24 mi from... This hotel is absolutely stunning – a unique oasis right outside the city center of Valladolid. It has a jungle vibe to it that is really relaxing, but the true highlight of the hotel is the underground cave pool. There is an amazing healing sound bath session every morning inside the pool, which is a great start of the day and another aspect that makes this hotel really unique. The breakfast is delicious as well and the staff just lovely. I could go on and on listing why I really loved my stay, but I highly recommend you just check this place out yourself :).

Hotel Refugio41, Hotel Hacienda Margot, and Hotel Posada San Juan got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Valladolid.
Cute little town. Most of the attractions are within 1-3 km. Mainly around the main Square. I would only stay here 2-3 days maximum. Sidewalks are a BIG problem as they are not even. Most of the time you have to walk on the road. Feel sorry for the handicapped!!
Great small colonial town near many cenotes and historic sites. Save yourself some $ and stay here as a central point to many interesting sites and adventures. We drove the Chichen Itza in morning, got a front parking spot for a few dollars, found an excellent guide for $60USD for 90 minutes. It was awesome! WE also drove to Itzamal the golden city and several cenotes. Much better than being stuck on a tour bus. Restaurants are EXCELLENT in Valladolid and food is amazing. Just be aware that the tourist shops near main square are the worst and a late afternoon stop for all the tour buses from Cancun and Play del Carmen and Cruises.. if you enjoy price gouging, haggling and a huge shake down then please visit. I could not find a bottle of tequila at a decent price and gave up after being shaken down. Next time I would stop at a supermarket and buy your own water, beer, tequila wine etc.
if you are going to the ruins, then a day-or-two tops, but I would either do a day trip from Tulum to the ruins, or go to the ruins first, stay here after then head up to flamingos. That's a day in itself so worth staying closer to it, but it all depends on if you have a car. but go up to the flamingo coast and don't dilly-dally in Valladolid. I liked the city--it's quaint a few neat churches, one popular cenote, somewhat good restaurants...but it's a pit-stop city. The light show is neat by the towne square church compound, but it's late a 9 pm.
Ek Balam was amazing - you can climb the pyramids! You can find the sitio de taxis colectivos to Ek Balam on the map, which is the most economical way of getting there. The entrance fee is almost 500 pesos, and there's a separate fee for the nearby cenote, which you have to bike to. I spent less than $70 USD for Ek Balam and the cenote, food, transport, etc. Cenote tours are worthwhile to go to other cenotes of various types all around here -- closed (more like caves), semi open, and open (sky very visible from inside). As of mid December 2022, the city's cenote (Zaci) is not available for swimming. I recommend Premier tours for a variety of good cenotes to visit. Restaurante & Pizzeria Oasis has a wide variety of juices and a big menu to choose from (pizza only after 4 pm). Itamae Japanese (in the back of an Italian restaurante) is great if you get tired of heavy Yucatecan food.
The city of Valladoild is one of the most beautiful and diverse cities of the Yucatan peninsula. It offers many sightseeing gems, a wide range of really good restaurants and the city is a good starting point for daytrips to many of the highlight around, such as Chichen Itza, Cenote Suytun etc. Another highlight is, that you can find a small Cenote directly at the city center.
Buetiful city, very clean, great architecture, buetiful Mexican homes. Having our dogs limited us to our activities. Didn’t expect it to be so touristy, but great tourist destination. We live in the city of Cancún
The hotel definitely feels like its own little world in Valladolid, complete with an impressive palm-thatched hall, a tower, the steamy saline cave, a cool outdoor swimming pool, and even a clothing-optional relaxation space. Plus, our room had art from an local artist that was "trippy" to say the least! To finish our stay, we got a couple's massage at the hotel that felt great after days of sightseeing Mayan ruins in the jungle.
We were looking for a non-expensive hotel near the bus station and the collectivos going to Chichen Itza,, and close to the main square / center of town, so Hotel Valladolid was an obvious choice - although there are other options in the area. Our room (room 1) was large enough for 2 people, clean, with a king size bed and a nice stone wall. The receptionists were friendly and gave us tips on what to see and how to get around.
A perfect Mayan boutique hotel, comfortable bedding w/the option of a hammock, the same balance you find in this amazing small hotel, modern features with the beautiful decor of local traditions. The garden was just picture perfect and the food?? Let me just say only three guests in hotel my night, yet the cafe was full all morning. Locals know this spot delivers GREAT food. Yes centrally located and great WiFi!
Hotel has great central location, easy to park on the street. Tea and instant coffee all the time (24h) are available next to the reception. There is a big fridge in the table area so you can put there something (no fridge in the room) or microwave to prepare food if this is the case. Valladolid is just a beautiful and authentic city with so many places (cenotes) etc. to see around in close distance.
Loved the rustic feel of this charming hotel. Our room was exactly how I imagined a typical Mexican hacienda would be. The courtyard was lovely with hammocks and rocking chairs and a small clean pool. The location was perfect between the convent square and the cathedral square. The staff was friendly. We were very happy for 2 nights and really loved Valladolid.
So clean. Such a nice ambiance. We have eaten in the restaurant many times (Thanks Daniel for the Caribbean Shrimp and for sharing your philosophy!) but this is the first time we stayed in the hotel. Definitely worth upgrading to the Superior Room 1408. Will stay again the next time we are in the beautiful Valladolid
Room was quite big and comfortable. Breakfast simple but tasty, and served for the time we agreed the day before. Personnel is super friendly and helpful. Hotel located in walking distance to the center of Valladolid. Parking on the street next to the hotel, but there is a space for your car.
It's a short walk to the main square and there are nice restaurants within walking distance too. We were allowed to park at the nearby La Aurora Hotel Colonial and also to use that hotel's pool and hot tub.
Casa Tía Micha is a gorgeous boutique hotel with personalized service. love the location just 1/2 a block from the Plaza. very colorful, clean. lots of plants. we loved the breakfast every morning as well.
Perfect location, great staff, super clean, and has everything you need. Overall, this charming place is updated and a great value to visit Valladolid. Highly recommend if you prefer staying in boutique hotels.
Hotel Refugio41 is a lovely boutique hotel in Valladolid. The room and surrounding courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast provided was a wonderful bonus. I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is located right in the center of Valladolid. The rooms are located in the inner courtyard, so you don't hear the noise of the street. Room decoration very nice.
Pleasant little boutique hotel just off the main square. Location good for bars and restaurants etc. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. A/c works well.
Beautiful hotel with incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Short walk to best bits of Valladolid. Great breakfast and very clean. Pool was superb.
This was a nice hotel, close to the central area of Valladolid. The landscaping and hotel are beautiful. The room, bathroom and shower were enormous!
Hotel 41 Valladolid suited my needs perfectly. It is clean, air conditioned, and close to cenotes as well as the center of town.
this boutique hotel is so beautiful inside, with lots of places to relax and chill out.
