Veracruz the state has plenty to offer. When searching for accommodation in the city of Veracruz it is best to search Heroica Veracruz.
This is the cleanest city I have visited in all of Mexico and it is easy to take the bus that runs along the Malecon to other parts of the city (Boca de Rio, Plaza las Americas and other beaches)
Very pleased I decided to come here from Mexico City with a rideshare app.
Oh yes I must mention Veracruz is a coffee destination,

Hotel Lois is a FULL SERVICE hotel that seems to attract a lot of young families.
The entire staff is very accommodating, friendly yet professional.
Ms GUADALUPE IS EXCELLENT!!
Fresh linens and a made KING-SIZE bed every day.
Clean towels everyday.
Two bottles of drinking water everyday.
There are two strong WiFi networks.
The staff is constantly cleaning and refreshing everywhere.
Even the pool is cleaned everyday.
A huge breakfast buffet and supper is offered every day.
There is a special evening buffet with live music on weekends.
If You’re looking for alternatives to their buffets, there is an abundance of excellent dining options within walking distance. Even at age 71 with arthritic ankles, I enjoyed dining at several local restaurants. In fact, I drove My automobile to Hotel Lois, but never needed it. Besides, there is a corral of available taxis at the entrance, should You need their service. Personally, I enjoyed my daily walk along the gulf coast waterfront.
Job well done Hotel Lois staff!!
I’m looking forward to a return visit in 2024!!

Hot and Gritty port city filled with mildewed 1950's office blocks , center of town is nice and entertaining , with great restaurants and live music everywhere , the Malecon is fun , to see ships and browse hundreds of stalls selling Kitschy souvenirs ...seafood is excellent , must try Fish Verecruzana local dish...boys dive for coins tossed in water , rather disconcerting as the water can not possible be healthy....great for visit in historical context , but one must feel some pity for day to day inhabitants...dirtiest city in Mexico

I went to Veracruz primarily to visit El Tajin archeology site which was fabulous. I would imagine I could have gotten more out of the visit if I were into the beach and seafood scene which I am not. I am sure the beaches would have been amazing as they are apparently popular.

A bit of a disappointment. Nothing to see that is worth it.
A bit of a disappointment. Nothing to see that is worth it. Very hot weather. We went for the carnival and ended up waiting more than 4 hours under a hot sun on very uncomfortable stalls for a carnival that was completely disorganised. I would recommend going around the city (Orizaba for example is a hidden gem).

Downtown central Mega Metropolis meaning very interesting...
Downtown central Mega Metropolis meaning very interesting Colonial structures. Safe easy to walk many parks beautiful Zocalo near malecon. Good transportation system taxis and buses. Short walk to Old Town lovely part of the city quieter more laid back. Many city tours available on trolleys which leave from the malecon. Comes alive in a very different way in the evening. Definitely visit the beaches Aquarium and other attractions booking.com offers great tours at great prices. Can be confusing walking around at first however once you learn which way the streets and avenues run it becomes easier and it's just fun to discover how intricate and complete this city is Interstate bus stations are very near Centro. A safe City however the markets in Old Town are huge and can be confusing common sense is always best in those places.
location is good, very centrally located. They clean the room everyday, quite thoroughly, although I often ask not to change bedsheets. the bath towel is quite worn out, but they are clean. Hotel is very basic, but overall the price says everything. With large window and bright, although facing the wall. There’s a super polleria 1 block away, must try. Staff are nice
I don’t know why ?? but I always look for Fiesta Inn wherever I go, mi experience at Fiesta inn Veracruz was amazing I can’t not complain, super clean restaurant, rooms, and what can I say about the employees 🥰 efficient service, I really love it 😍
These property has the most Beutifull location everything is so close… I don’t have more words I love it ❤️❤️❤️
Location was good, they need more sunbeds, or stop people claiming them with towels, but not using them until midday, despite putting down towels at 8 am, so Mexicans are becoming Germans I guess.Pool was a good size, you have access to the beach via steps, but not directly by the hotel , 100 meters away. Or you could climb over the rocks.
Great place for exploring Veracruz! It’s not a super fancy hotel, but it’s very good for such a low price and it’s close to the beach, which makes it a great place if you want to watch sunrise by the Gulf. There are some good breakfast places nearby and the city center is now very far if you like walking
The customer service was great! Since I got to the hotel the valet were great! They took my belongings to my room. The breakfast buffet had a great selection. The pool had a great view
The employees spoke English that was so important that saves my vacation made my vacation fun I cannot tell you how incredible their employees are the best I've ever had
Price $$ was to much compared to better hotels with better locations but my reservation was ready And cancel with booking could be complicated sometimes
