We loved Guanajuato and would go back sometime.
We loved Guanajuato and would go back sometime. We were only there two nights as a quick stop on our drive home to the US. It's an amazing city with the mining history and tunnels carved in the mountain. The architecture in the historic center is gorgeous, many buildings are from the 1700 and 1800s. We loved climbing the hill to the statue for the view as well as just wandering and exploring. There are all kinds of restaurants and street food, music in the streets every night and lots of shops of souvenirs. We recommend spending several days here.

Small, wonderful, kaleidoscopic, walkable, and friendly city to visit and explore. Great range of activities available: art and architecture, museums and music venues and food options (from street food on up) and hiking in the surrounding hills. Speaking Spanish helps, even if at a rudimentary level like mine. Guanajuato is an easy to just be. And if you forget the sunscreen ... farmacias to the rescue! Enjoy your visit.

It is a beautiful city with lots to explore. It is more historic and lots of walking but we enjoyed. My kids enjoyed it even with it not being a lot of attractions geared towards children. Lots of street vendors and delicious foods.

The people were very friendly.
The people were very friendly. A lot of walking goes on with very little other transportation. There are definitely a huge number of people walking the street that usually come up from the tunnels. The tunnels being the major source of entrance into the city. The parks are usually full of people walking around and in the evenings they have lots of songs and and other activities.
This hotel was located just on the edge of Central Guanajuato and all activities of the Cervantino Festival were within easy walking distance. The hotel does not provide breakfast, but there were a number of restaurants close by.
The staff spoke no English, but were super friendly and accommodating. On leaving, they arranged for a taxi to pick me up at 3:00am, and it was right on time. My first year Spanish was sufficient for me to communicate with them, and they were patient with my halting attempts.
Even though this is a bit of a hike from the historic center of town, we loved how peaceful it was compared to the chaotic city! The property is really a beautiful oasis. Staff was really nice and helpful. We loved the heated outdoor pool, as well as the thermal pool / spa inside. The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. And we really appreciated that there was an on-site restaurant, though it's very expensive! (There are some great places to eat very close to the hotel, which are a better alternative.)
Everything. The shower was gigantic and beautiful, you could relax and look out onto the beautiful view that is Guanajuato. The rooms and the hotel was superbly decorated. The staff was so helpful, the manager Ricardo could not have been more accommodating.
Our flight was canceled going into leon and we had to be rerouted into aguacalinetes 2 hours north. He helped arrange our driver to still come get us. Amazing.

What a value and what a beautiful establishment.
The staff was nice, they accomodated us as best as they could. They work with a tour company that offers several tours, it picks up guest at the front of the hotel and drops off there too. The breakfast was good and the location of this hotel is perfect for being away from the center, but still close enough to the garden del cantado, shops and city center. Guanajuato was beautiful and staying here made it comfortable and enjoyable.
Everything! Our stay at Sanbernabe Tres with Veronica and Rafael was certainly one of the highlights of our 5 months in Mexico. The house is so thoughtfully and beautifully restored, a real treasure, every inch is to be enjoyed. Veronica and Rafael have thought of everything a guest could possibly need and are there to help and we did need their help with several things! Staying at Sanbernabe Tres is a real treat.
The Hotel has a great location. It is in the center of the city. Staff are friendly. The room are clean and very spacious. Environmental conscious. I would suggest the hotel should have recycles garbage in the room.
Fridge will be good for in room for facilities incentive. Overall I love the hotel.
The breakfast was great and server too. Being Canadian I will recommend this Hotel.
No breakfast was included. The hotel is in a beautiful historic building in the middle of the historic center of Guanajuato. It was a little difficult to find as the streets are narrow and windy. We walked everywhere. There was a lot to see and do. The parking was very helpful and on site. The beds were very comfortable and the linens nice quality.
everything is superb, especially the host and the terrace. Nothing beats a delicious breakfast with amazing panoramic view of this colorful city. within walkable distance to the city centre. Host very friendly and thoughtful and let us store the luggage. Easy check in and check out. We had a lovely time in Guanajuato.
This was my best experience in Mexico! the staff are so so freaking abd helpful! they helped me with everything which made my train very special! the location is perfect, in the city center and close from everything! I was able to use the washing machine for free and there is a nice restaurant downstairs:)
The hosts were extremely friendly, helpful and warm hearted. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we learnt a lot about Mexico talking with them at the breakfast table. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to come back again. Rene and Flo are Hosts you can only wish for.
Casa de Colores was fantastic! A beautiful and unique property reminiscent of traditional Mexico.
The owner is so nice and very helpful.
The included breakfast was wonderful, as well.
I'd recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the beautiful city of Guanajuato.
The location is excellent. It is inside the city center. City attractions and restaurants are nearby.
The staff are kind and nice. They can speak and understand English.
Old hotel but still well-maintained.
The room is spacious and clean, the TV is working.
Super friendly and welcoming, nice architectural details, lovely decorated and secure.
The hotel has its own underground parking and by car you can easily reach Pípila with its great view over the colourful city of Guanajuato.
Accommodation is close to city center. Small but super comfortable room, they even set up a little tea place with kettle, glasses, mugs, few packets of tea and coffee (which is rare in Mexico).
A one night stay in my favorite hotel I Guanajuato. Have stayed there many times. Great location as I was driving the back road from Dolores Hidalgo. Parking in front with security.
