Everything is near.
Everything is near. You can go shopping for chocolate, minyak gamat & aroma terapi, kain batik etc. Unfortunately, Dataran Lang is closed for renovation until further notice. Nearby there is Lagenda Park, a good area for taking photos, a splendid view & clean. You must go to Warung Roti Canai Penarak in the morning for breakfast. Roti canai is so good with a variety of kuih too.

Try to avoid park in restricted or compound area because you will get fine and summons from PBT

Places to visit were the large park approaching Eagle Square, the Jetty, Maha Tower, beautiful sunsets, Giant Eagle Statue, Shopping Plaza & serene beach near the jetty. Maha Tower changes colour after sunset. Hotel staff very helpful & friendly & free buffet breakfast was also very good with a variety of choices of food. Afternoon high tea was also included for free for an extra nibble with coffee, tea or juice.

The people , the food, overall prices as this is a duty free island... Very easy to navigate in a car.. plenty of places tosee and experience.. Cable Car... Oriental Village, Resteruants, Pentai Chenang.. Yellow Beach Cafe.. Underwater World... Green Coconuts... Malaysian Cuisine. Thai Cuisine, Indian Cuisine...all excellent.. Good Clean Water...No Tummy upsets as per other Asian experiences.

Town area and not very crowded. Good for vacation and stay for 3-4days will be enough for whole tour. Going to the beach area just around 30 mins drive and not very far away. An excellent place to visit close enough to the main jetty port! The eagle square and a few natural parks (GEO park, Legenda Park) that are free and beautiful. The Maha tower is close by as well as well as a shopping mall and the local market on Wed. and Saturday nights is excellent to visit. I think to explore you'd only need 3-4 days and best to relocate to other areas of the island for a longer stay.JenniferCanada

Only the way up to A Rock Resort quite challenging if you are not familiar with high hills road. But, its ok. All of my friends enjoying it so much staying here. And for sure, if they are coming back to Langkawi, definitely A Rock Resort will be their choice. And also the staff is very friendly. Kudos to all of them. From the guard house, receptionist and the guy at the cafe. They always helpful anything you needed.
