The hosts Moises and Anna Bella are very nice and attentive. The property is very well taken care of and nice.
The church, the museum, the ballpark, the mall, are all...
The church, the museum, the ballpark, the mall, are all good places to see. If you want to experience life as a local, this is your place. We speak very little Spanish, but had no trouble communicating what we needed or wanted. You can eat at trendy looking places and pay trendy prices, or eat where the locals eat and pay 5 bucks for two people and eat local fare.
The Museum De Herrera is quaint, but informative and organized.
The water tower is another claim to fame for Chitre.
The ballpark was closed for renovations while we were there.
We walked everywhere during the day and felt completely safe all the time.
The bus system is excellent and a convenient and inexpensive means to travel the entire country, which we did. At every station, someone would help us find the correct bus and we almost always could find someone who spoke enough English to help.

Was in Chitre about 4 yrs. ago.
Was in Chitre about 4 yrs. ago. The town has been upgraded a lot in this time. I was there for a model airplane meet so we did not really come as visitors or sightseers. However the Azuero peninsula is a great place to explore.
I arrived early and was able to work on their nice covered front patio (with Wifi). The hotel was older, but has charm and character. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Access to the rooms is locked, which made me feel safe as I was alone on this trip. LOVED the wonderful covered patio in front of my room (Room 109).
There's a nice little bakery with sweet and savory treats right next door and the town square is right out the front door. I was able to walk to both of my errands (the notary and Grupo Mega).
We had a warm experience. We felt VERY welcome. Hernan and Milagra are truly warm-hearted people, who do everything to make you feel comfortable.
You can use the kitchen, if you like. Breakfast was lovely, and typical Panamanian.
And we met a lot of nice and variated people.
We definitely come back.
Good service, the room is very comfy, and there was hot water, which is great, breakfast was good, was a good stay, pool was awesome, the view with the little pond and the bridge are a very good touch, and the location of the Hotel itself is awesome, really liked it.
Very attentive staff at the hotel entrance blocking off parking spots with cones to ensure availability for guests. Friendly staff. Good on-site restaurant & bar. The bullding actually looks better than on the photo's on Booking.
Nice size room , pool view, had happy hour, hot shower, toiletries. Nice hotel. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Too bad we didn’t have more than the one night then we would have been able to use the facilities more.
There's warm water in the showers, A/C works great, towels were renewed per day, 24 hour front desk, hotel is away from city noise, but at a short walking distance to main places and good TV cable plan.
The room was perfectly clean and everything was perfectly in order. The WiFi was very fast. Especially I liked the scenic view from the restaurant during breakfast.
I strongly recommend this hotel.
The breakfast was very good, very Panamanian, I would only point out that there should be more Chicharron and Hojaldres bc if you go to have a late breakfast your options will be more limited.
Friendly owner, parking behind the hotel. Very central, you could reach everything on foot.
We were only here for one night as we were just passing through on a trip from east to west Panama.
It was great. It's like a hotel. Private room and bathroom. Everything was perfect. Huge and comfy beds. Great air conditioner. You definitely get way more than you pay for.
Fantastic location, and a very good restaurant which opens later than most in Chitré. Great for work events or family vacations with lots to do in the surrounding towns.
I loved about this place that everything has been thought about. Including Netflix account to enjoy. Stuff for cooking. Super clean. Best room in chitre for this price
