The beach was so quiet even though we were there for carnival week. There were lots of restaurants in the hotels further along the beach and in the village which we found to be excellent. Villa marina was a lot quieter than the other areas which we preferred but if you’re after nightlife then further along the beach would be better. There is a small supermarket that sells most things and a launderette if you need it.

I would describe Playa Venao as an oasis.

I would describe Playa Venao as an oasis. My favorite part about my stay was that everyone and everything is walking distance to the beach and each other. The restaurants and grocery are local, which gave me a true taste of Panama. I personally overpacked with clothes, everyone is in their bathing suit all day. I recommend carrying one around always. The sunset is beautiful too.

I would not recommend Blue Venao or Azuero rentals.

I would not recommend Blue Venao or Azuero rentals. They are completely unhelpful, rude, and do not tell the truth on their listings. They will not switch a unit next to construction even when they have the availability to do so.

    Very friendly and helpful staff!

Very friendly and helpful staff! Nice beach area with shade and coffee/ bar options. Riverside cabanas are well built and clean but a bit of a walk from the beach. Shared Bathroom, kitchen and outdoor shower. Cabins have wooden blinds with mosquito net on windows and curtains so sounds travels from neighboring cabanas. Not as much privacy as we had hoped for. Great coffee and sandwiches at the cafe and some good tour options. We loved seeing a family of money’s on our walk to the beach! Overall good experience and value. Would recommend this accommodation for travellers looking for a more laid back and rustic get away.

    Great place to be.

Great place to be. Lots of things to do, hiking, surfing, beach, good restaurants. If you are a surfer this is the place to go. There are some great bars around the area, so night life is good. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. You only need a car if you want to go hiking or go to a fancy restaurant called Panga which is GREAT!!!

It is a very peacefull and wonderfull place.

It is a very peacefull and wonderfull place. First the view on your way there is great, green hills with horses and cows. Then the beach of course! The town in general...every places i visited were very neat and modern designs, and on the main street few new places were getting built and all had a similar structure to make them all fit with each others. And nature around this whole germ of perfection is surreal! Go to the mirador on top of the bay for an ultimate relaxing time and a breathtaking view.
