It is the end of my second booking 2+2days. I have done as the owner suggested and booked at another hotel. On check out neither the husband or the wife are there at reception. The young girl at the counter makes a call and then tells me to wait as she cannot get an invoice from the system. The owners gave me a cold shoulder saying something to the girl and then disappears to unload some stuff. I asked for a proper invoice in my name. The girl gives me a small slip - the kind that you get from a credit card machine. She says this is what we give. This was not an invoice. At this point I am fed up and walked out – no invoice in hand. The next hotel with close proximity to the beach has a large room and large bathroom. The price is the same as Hotel Atlantica. Initially I called and asked if I could keep my bags as I would be early. I asked if they have a room with a beach view but which is not noisy. To my surprise they upgraded me and my room was ready at 11:00am. These owners are genuinely kind. The breakfast is just amazing. Everything was fresh and in abundance. I asked for hot water and they sent me a kettle. When I checked out they sent a proper invoice in my name on their hotel letter head via email the very same day.
Now here are my questions. Why was I not given the room category at Hotel Atlantica that I booked on booking.com? Why was I asked to book through them directly? Why was I not given an invoice for my stay? They have charged me for my third booking of 5 days i.e Euro 300 which the owner himself informed me to vacate . I have sent them direct messages through Booking.com to send me my invoices and stay true to their word and give me my refund. It is 15 days now since I checked out. They have retained full payment – they have not earned it – and it is not right.

Lovely little boutique hotel. Nicely decorated and clean. However, this means rooms are nice but they are very small. Okay for a night or two. Staff were lovely and very good. Food was good. Location is also lovely.

A really lovely seaside town with some nice restaurants and a beautiful beach. You can walk up the mountain and get an incredible view of the whole bay! It’s not far to Obidos, and if you have a chance stop in Foz do Arelho, the most incredible beach and a really great boardwalk along the water!

This is a resort that is obviously well loved by Portuguese holiday makers. It has a huge sandy beach and offers safe bathing - no big Atlantic rollers because the bay is almost entirely enclosed with only one narrow outlet to the high seas. There are lots of cafes and beachside bars. Great for young families and those at the other end of the age spectrum will appreciate its pedestrian areas and promenade. Dining in the evening is a little restricted as most cafes and restaurants close early

Really lovely little seaside town - with a fun beach and lots to do. Plenty of nice walks nearby and a beautiful coast. I would have liked to hired bikes to get round if we'd been there bit longer. Make sure you check out the tunnel through the cliff at sunset!

The Landmart hostess, Raquel, was outstanding, going way beyond the call of duty to guide us in and welcome us when we arrived many hours late due to transport problems. At the end of our visit she huided us on to the A8 back to Lisbon.
The location is excellent within easy walki g distance of beach, amenities, restaurants and market. Having an immaculate pool on site was great on thevery hot afternoons.
The unit was well equipped but dark and lacking a balcony.

It's a lovely place, with a good blend of touristy lodgings and real Portuguese inhabitants. The town is great in itself, and a very good base for daytrips to Nazaré, Óbidos, etc. One gets an array of both beach and countryside, with lots of different crops along the way and storks nests! Many restaurants, a number of small supermarkets and other places selling food, as well as a bigger supermarket, a great ice cream parlour, etc. In the evening, it is so nice to go for a stroll on the main road that runs parallel to the beach. One sees tourists, young people and families alike. There's not a sense of a holiday place where people go to to get drunk. One never grows bored.

São Martinho do Porto is a great place to enjoy the beach and relax. Walking distance from the food market is Bar Concha where you must try a pastry called trança (braid). The cinnamon and coconut versions are both delicious.

Location is good, you could throw a stone and probably hit the sand but a railway line divides the the apartment from the beach which causes a 10 minute walk. Apartment is well equipped and very secure. The information package provided is excellent full of good and very useful information. If I were to repeat the holiday, next time I would take a fire stick and use the pay and go internet to get uk tv for the evenings. Area is very nice and within easy drive of a number of other towns and resort areas.
This is a beautiful peaceful place outside the town of Sao Martino do Porto. I visited without a car. I like to hike, and enjoyed the walks to and from the nearby beaches which are spectacular (and not crowded even in the peak of high season - mid August). The host was friendly and very helpful. In particular she helped me with bike rental and taxi info. And even gave me a ride when my phone stopped working! Note that there is a microwave but no stove in the kitchenette.
Nice hotel in a very cozy, charming town. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable room. Awesome location, steps away from the beach and a quick elevator ride to the Old Town. Best part was the staff, specially Rita Silva and Tania. Breakfast was good and Rita went out of her way to get us what we needed. Good value.
This is a very special boutique hotel in a very special place in Portugal. The restaurant is exceptional and well deserving of the Michelin star they are about to receive. The staff is both multi-lingual and most welcoming. We will be back and encourage all our friends to do so,
Amazing facilities and value for money. The host was great communicating check in and the space in the accommodation was fabulous. Also 10 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the coach stop. I would definitely recommend and choose to stay here again!
Large apartment, with lots of space in the living room
Super comfortable bed
Quiet area, yet good location, cert Close to the beach & promenade
Self-checkin
Underground parking included, very convenient
the location is perfect, away enough from the restaurant are so we didn’t get noise but close enough from the beach, 5 min walking. the apartment is spacious and has all we would need. really nice stay
Great breakfast, very friendly staff. Rooms are small but have nice balconies. It is an older hotel and floors and bath rooms are dated but beds and bedding are comfortable. Very clean.
Nice and clean good sized apartment with great terrace space, fairly convenient within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Owner was very accommodating, friendly and helpful.
