Leafy town on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The town itself does not have a real center, just a tacky sculpture of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the center of a roundabout. However, if you stay a little bit outside of town then you can enjoy the unique location.

There is a lot of really nice restaurants(indointaliano is one of the best) and the view of Kilimanjaro is amazing. Moshi is the best place to find a company which will take you to the summit of Kilimanjaro. You can also do day trips from Moshi to Materuni waterfalls or Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

There is absolutely nothing to do in Moshi and is only good if you do a tour or two and hike Kilimanjaro. When you are done with those, get out! The do have a Regional Immigration Office that will extend your visa for 30 days if you need it.

The wifi worked well most of the time, and the service from staff was excellent as we were there during a quiet week. The breakfast and food on offer at the restaurant was good. The staff were really helpful in organising tuk tuks into town and a driver to take us to the waterfall for a reasonable price. We enjoyed being able to relax by the pool in the sun before starting our Kilimanjaro trek!

The beds were comfortable and we were given towels and stuff to do laundry with. Peter (the manager) was incredibly helpful and kind. He helped us book transportation to and from the place and the town (a 10-15 minute tuktuk ride), and he arranged an early breakfast for us when we had to leave in the morning. The restaurant is excellent too. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
