Detroit is becoming a revitalized city with many great restaurants, sporting venues and entertainment venues. Very walkable and increased transit system would make this the perfect city to visit. It's so good to see the re-birth of the buildings and the businesses making this a city vibrant and attracting more visitors each year.

Detroit is a beautiful place to visit.
Detroit is a beautiful place to visit. Most people are relatively friendly. I had no problems, other than the place that I stayed. They had mice and it was a dead mouse in the sink on the second day. The person managing the property came in while I wasn't there. I couldn't cook my Thanksgiving dinner because there was no dining table. So my family had to eat with our plates in our laps. I was told to give a good review and they would give me back half of my money. They lied! I have text messages and pictures.

Detroit has come a long way from what it used to be.
Detroit has come a long way from what it used to be. There is a lot to do around the city. With the Q-line and the people mover being a mode of free transportation, it is much easier to get around if you can park just outside of the downtown area
Amazing historic city club beautifully preserved, restored and maintained. Luxury suite corner suite with porch was spotless with amazing linens and comfortable bed.
Our bartender in The Library amazing cocktail artist. Very cool and hospitable. Door guy made certain we had coffee and anything we needed in the morning. Continental breakfast was plentiful, with fresh options and mini quiches.
Ideal couple getaway or girlfriend weekend. I will be back soon.
Also room was a steal when compared to other boutique hotels downtown.
Our stay at the Atheneum was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! We are from out of state and we was so excited to see Detroit and see what the city has to offer. The hotel EXCEEDED our expectations. The hotel manager Vonda gave us an experience we will never forget!!! I rate this place 10x10 stars!!! Clean, welcoming, nice atmosphere, attentive, smoke-free, plus more!!! Thank you so much for our stay and the complimentary upgraded room Mrs.Vonda! We’re more than pleased. We will be back!
The hotel is definitely going for an industrial chic style and it mostly works. The room was comfortable and it is in a convenient location to explore Corktown and to walk into the downtown. They offer gated parking for an additional fee which they should offer for free given that the area is still a bit rough.
They have a nice fire pit that was fun to sit by in the evening with a drink and chat with some other people.
The Shinola is in the heart of Detroit's historic downtown, where new businesses are coming up and old, beautiful architecture is finally being preserved and restored. The guest rooms and public spaces are beautiful, showing the clear vision of a talented architectural and interior design team. The design and luxurious finishes go well beyond what one might expect for the cost of the room.
Innovative new hotel chain. Each room is a nicely appointed studio apt. Very clean and comfortable, and staff if helpful and friendly. This property is in the beautifully restored Book Building in downtown Detroit, which has undergone significant revitalization. I highly recommend trying this hotel, you won’t be disappointed.
For us the location was great. We could walk to everything we wanted to do downtown bars, restaurant, clubs etc. We had thought about booking an airbnb or something but felt like a hotel chain would be more reliable as far as cleaning standards. The room and hotel met our expectations and we're glad we decided to stayed there.
I was in town for my brother's funeral. Most of the family stayed at a hotel in downtown Detroit and paid more for one night than I paid for 2 nights, including tax. It was clean, safe and an excellent location. I would definitely consider again if I am in Detroit.
The hotel is centrally located. It is easily within walking distance of the arena and other entertainment. The room was clean and well stocked. The hotel has a very cozy feel about it. I plan to stay there again the next time I visit Detroit.
Excellent hotel the suites are top class
Location ideal to explore the area free shuttle within 5 miles radius
Staff extremely helpful especially Andre a local and the driver
Highly recommend when stay in Detroit
Location was great in downtown Detroit, walking distance to most places we visited including ford fields stadium.
Stuff was extremely helpful and assisted us from the moment we arrived until checking out.
It was the best hotel I’ve stayed in by far. Had a beautiful view of the water. The front desk were helpful and nice. Overall experience exceptional. I’ll definitely spread the word and book again
I had a window view of the Detroit River looking at Canada. You can walk out of the hotel lobby back door and you are on the Detroit River Walk. The room was clean and larger then I expected.
Brilliant hotel everything was great. Was extremely pleased with the FREE shuttle service down to Ford Field and back on game day. Outstanding and would definitely use again
Beds are very comfortable. The view of the city that we had was amazing. Very quite rooms, never heard any of the other guest. The lobby is one of the best in Detroit.
There’s nicer hotels that cost less. Don’t get the luxury package because clearly the only thing luxury is the price you pay for a basic room. Not worth it!
Great location in downtown Detroit. Rooms as per description which were modern and clean. Bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!
