Really solid choice for downtown Portland. Good location. Close to decent restaurants. Great extras at the hotel. Really liked this place. Not a lot of parking under the building available during peak vacation periods, however, there is lot public parking at an affordable price nearby. We paid $7 overnight at a nearby parking structure on a Saturday, not bad!

Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland, housed in the historic Multnomah Hotel building, offers a blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. The lobby features classic decorations and a spacious mezzanine area with an adjoining Italian restaurant. Our remodeled room was quiet, spacious, and well-appointed with quality materials and instant hot water, ideal for relaxation. Although "view" rooms are available, they offer limited scenery. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional, featuring custom-cooked omelets and a wide variety of other options. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment throughout our stay. In conclusion, Embassy Suites offers good value with a pleasing mix of history and modern convenience. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Great place to visit on the East coast. Many options of forest walks within public transport of town , the gorge out east or the beaches out west. Just a great shame that the homeless problem never seems to leave these cities.

We enjoyed exploring the west side of Portland from Park Lane Suites where we stayed. NW 23rd and NW 21st are fun streets with great shops and restaurants. The old neighborhoods are fun to walk through, admiring the historic houses and beautiful gardens. (May is a great time to see all the blooming rhododendrons!) We enjoyed Papa Haydn's on NW 23rd. We also had a fun evening at Old Town Pizza. We first took their Shanghai Underground Tour complete with beer tasting and then enjoyed their pizza! West Portland is full of great hiking trails in Washington Park, Hoyt Arboretum, and Forest Park.

The best thing about Portland are the family members who live there; they are the reason for our visit. We do enjoy going to many sites in Portland including the various gardens: Rose Garden, Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden, Pennisula Garden, Rhodendron Garden, and just walking around neighborhoods seeing the beautiful trees and plants. Powell's Bookstore is a must. We went to a Thorn's (women's Pro soccer team) game. It was exciting. There are many good food options in Portland. We like the zoo and of course there are many sites nearby to visit including a plethora of "falls" like Multinoma and Bridal Veil. The beauty of the city is blighted by homeless camps which lead to much litter, etc.

Portland, you're a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of my beloved Calgary with your mellow pace of life. Yet, you offer a gentle winter, free from the icy grip that defines our seasons. Your embrace of the LGBTQ community and the effortless kindness of your residents have been a revelation, challenging the media's portrayal with a beautiful reality. A heartfelt shoutout to Moxy Portland Downtown for their uniquely fabulous vibe and warm hospitality. You've been the highlight of our journey. The friendly staff greets you and a clean modern lobby is a nice start. The room is small but well acquainted. The beds are very comfortable as are the sheets pillows and fluffy throw. I like that it had a microwave and a mini fridge and I left watching The MAX train go by outside. It's right across the street from the convention center, so if you have any plans at the convention center it's a perfect hotel to stay at. The view of downtown Portland is also wonderful to see from their rooftop restaurant and bar.

Perfect location to explore Portland. Three of us stayed in one of their suites and we had plenty of space for everyone. Having a kitchenette was a huge bonus for us with Trader Joe's and a couple of other grocery stores near by which allowed us to prepare breakfast at the hotel. Another big bonus is the free parking as we rented a car and didn't have to worry about paying for parking. Overall this is the best deal you can get in Portland for the money.

The hotel and room were modern, comfortable and clean. There’s a gorgeous outdoor area that I’m sure if stunning for drinks in the summer! Staff were very helpful and available, even the bar staff were quick to provide us with recommendations for where to go in Portland. Location is convenient - it’s downtown and a short walk to the city centre, and the bus and tram stops are right outside. I’d definitely return to Hotel Zags if I’m back in Portland.
